Coordinator dropped the ball
However, we barely saw her the day of the wedding. My bridal party set up most of everything and when they asked her a question she just said "I don't know"
The florist's draping was so low it covered my officiant and my groom and I were forced to step off the platform just be seen at our ceremony. If a proper walk through had been done anyone could have seen that the draping would be too low and should've been fixed before ceremony or just completely removed. It was also completely different from the pictures the florist had communicated. Again, should've been corrected immediately.
Our first look and private vows were left out because there was an error with communication and it was assumed we meant first look of reception. So we didn’t even get to read our vows.
After dinner I had to go and find my coordinator because it was twenty minutes after dinner and she was MIA so we wasted time waiting on her to tell the dj to get toasts going so I barely got to eat because I was looking for her and toasts were supposed to be during dinner.
Lastly, I really did not want a garter unless it was a faked one but when the props weren't available we had communicated to remove that and apparently it was never communicated with the DJ. I sat there with no garter on visibly anxious alone on the dance floor and had to get up and cut the music myself and carry my chair back to the sweetheart table because my coordinator was MIA.
It sort of felt like because my bridal party was so helpful the coordinator didn't feel they had much to do once everything was in place.
I understand there's a lot that goes into a wedding but the whole point of paying for a coordinator and a planner to communicate for the bride day of and remove stress.
I loved my venue but if you're getting married at Club Lake and they suggest this planning company I'd ask for a different one.
