We chose Red Velvet for one simple reason: their cupcakes are DELICIOUS! We always go there when we are in Penn Quarter. Stephanie helped us pick flavors and customize them to accommodate our design. They were delicious and beautiful, though the sugar flowers on top were a little hard. We had favor boxes for extra and a lot of people had the ice cream sundae we had for dessert and took a cupcake home with them! We would definitely recommend Red Velvet - they have the best cupcakes in DC!

Red Velvet was wonderful. We had cupcakes for the ceremony, and they delivered exactly as promised, and early the morning of the wedding so I didn't have a thing to worry about. Being a bride, I was concerned when they said they didn't need to book the order months in advance, but they were absolutely right. They even discounted the delivery fee since we were nearby!

We did a dessert buffett for our wedding, with a large selection of bite-sized treats. We ordered the mini-cupcakes from Red Velvet. They are the only cupcakery that I could find in DC that did minis, but even with that said, I still think I prefer their cakes to Georgetown or Hello Cupcake. They were easy to work with, delivered the cupcakes as planned, and they looked fabulous, as well as tasted wonderful. I think the minis were a great value, and much easier for our guests to enjoy.

We worked with Kim and Tracy at Red Velvet Cupcakery to provide cupcakes, mini cupcakes, and a ceremonial cake for our wedding day. While there was some confusion leading up to the order, everything came together on our wedding day exactly as we had imagined. The team even reached out to us to confirm that the design was exactly as we had envisioned. The cupcakes themselves were DELICIOUS and received rave reviews from our guests. I would definitely order cupcakes from here again for a special event.
