If you are looking for an authentic, talented, storytelling type photographer, I would look no farther than Rebecca Barger. It was extremely important for me to find someone who could take the beautiful classic wedding photographs, but more importantly, who could take amazing candid shots that would capture the essence of our day. Rebecca honestly surpassed my already high expectations! She provided my husband and I with gorgeous pictures that we will forever cherish.
In addition, Rebecca was such a help throughout the entire wedding experience. I strongly recommend having her do your engagement photoshoot as well. The shoot allowed us to get to know Rebecca better and help us feel more comfortable in front of her lens. During our wedding day, Rebecca knew when to take the posed pictures, but also when to step back and take the more natural, impromptu moments.
My other recommendation is having her there for most of the reception. Those pictures are where her photojournalism background shone through and gave us the pictures that told the story of our wedding day. She then translated those pictures into a beautiful album!
Picking a photographer was definitely an important decision. They are the ones who let you relive your special day, and I am so thankful that we chose Rebecca Barger. She was organized, communicative, accommodating and committed to her craft. I highly recommend her to anyone for their wedding day.

Rebecca took engagement pictures and photographed our wedding. Throughout the whole process, she was constantly a and easy to communicate with, as we made plans about how to coordinate picture taking in the world of COVID. We took engagement pictures in June of 2020 in Chestnut Hill, with our dog Brie, and Rebecca did an amazing job capturing our family and making the pictures feel like us. On the wedding day, Rebecca knew exactly where to be and what to shoot, the pictures came out amazing the whole day was timed perfectly to allow everything to happen. We are so happy we had Rebecca and would recommend her to anyone.

Rebecca was so wonderful to work with, so diligent, hard working, and professional, and also so thoughtful to make sure our engagement photos and wedding day photos were exactly what we had envisioned. I had sent Rebecca many photos in advance of pictures I wanted to re-create (some even a little far fetched!) and she did her very best to re-create every one and made sure we were happy with every one (which we always were!) Our photo sessions were fun, easy, and calm. Our wedding album was absolutely beautiful & it was so wonderful to be able to re-live our special day. It even made me cry! I love that I have all of these beautiful photos to keep forever. Photography was one thing that was very important to me and I'm so glad we searched near & far until we came across Rebecca!

I could not recommend Rebecca more. A lot of the world of wedding planning is angst inducing, but from the first phone call with Rebecca, my nerves were calmed.
Initial phone call - Rebecca was very upfront about everything. She is willing to work with you on budget, services, and timeline. I could immediately tell she is passionate about her work and the enthusiasm definitely is contagious! I came away from the call very excited about working together.
Leading up to the wedding - She's done this a lot and knows Philly well. She recommended several beautiful locations near our venue and had ideas ready for how to get there and what to do if the weather was bad. She really listened to what was important to us, and had a plan ready to make sure she was going to be taking pictures of that.
The wedding day - She was absolutely amazing. She not only had lists already made up of who take pictures of, but she was invaluable in making sure those pictures actually happened. She's forceful enough to make sure your brother isn't goofing off on pictures and keeps your dad from wandering off. You're going to be spending a lot of the day with her, and you will not be sorry about that at all.
The pictures - What initially drew me to Rebecca was how candid her pictures look, but also how GOOD everyone looked in them. I don't always enjoy taking pictures, but I love the pictures she gave me. I think her body of work speaks for itself and if you spend 2 minutes on her website, you'll see how good she is.
After the wedding - Rebecca got us the pictures quick and was always responsive. We opted to buy a photo album through her. Initially I wasn't sure if I wanted to, but I'm so glad I did. I would say always trust anything she recommends - she's right and you should do it.
Again - I could not recommend Rebecca more, she was one of the easiest, most professional vendors we worked with through our entire wedding.

Rebecca was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding 4/27/19. From our first contact, it was clear that she was invested in our wedding vision and would work with us to make it happen. From our engagement shoot that she timed to coincide with the beautiful cherry blossom bloom through our wedding day photos on the roof of the Loews, Rebecca was on top of everything. She worked with us to create our day-of timeline and helped keep us on track--in fact, we stayed ahead of schedule!

Not only was Rebecca enthusiastic, organized, and so lovely to work with, but of course, her photographs were absolutely beautiful. We're so, so grateful for the work she put in during our wedding experience, and couldn't recommend her more highly.

Rebecca was wonderful to work with! My husband and I had a short engagement, and we found her early in the process. She is extremely organized, and we felt like all of her expertise made all the difference in our quick wedding planning! She was very through in all the in person and phone meetings we had with her, and helped us make sure that we would get all the shots we wanted while leaving plenty of time for the candids that made us love her photos in the first place! She also did our engagement shoot, which was a great way to get to know her and prepare for being photographed on the wedding day. We feel like she is very affordable for her level of talent :) On the day of, I felt so grateful to have chosen her! The bridal party and I arrived to the venue a little late, but Rebecca and her assistant were true professionals and unfazed. She kept our photo timeline running smoothly, and magically somehow got us running back on time while getting every photo we wanted! During the reception, she seemed to have this ability to always be in seemingly multiple places at once to get all the best shots. All of my guests commented on how talented she was, and my husband and I could not agree more! We love the quality of the photos we got, and feel so lucky to get to have such beautiful images to help us re-live our wedding day whenever we want.

I had seen Rebecca's work featured in the Inquirer's "Love" section many times and loved her "editorial style." Looking at our wedding photos, I feel like they could be in a bridal magazine! The photos Rebecca took are so beautiful and she was able to capture so many candid moments with my friends and family, including the first time my husband met a close friend of mine with a big hug. Rebecca was easy to work with throughout the whole process and made sure that we got all the shots on our list. She also set up an engagement shoot for us, which helped us get comfortable with being photographed and produced some really lovely photos that we used for engagement announcement. I would definitely use Rebecca again, she also worked within our budget, which was much appreciated.

Working with Rebecca was such a pleasure. She is very organized and she sits down with you and creates a timeline for the day of the wedding so that you know what to expect and how much time is allotted for each photo shoot. She was able to take all of the requests that my parents threw at her for group photos and get them done before we even got to the entrees which left her plenty of time for the candid photos that we love! We just got our wedding photos and they are beyond our expectations. Amazing work.

Rebecca was the photographer for my younger sister’s wedding back in 2017 – which she did a phenomenal job! So when the time came that I got engaged in the summer of 2018, Rebecca was at the top of my list! When I called Rebecca right away, it was also so wonderful to hear a familiar voice that made me feel comfortable. Something I found to be so important when looking for a photographer - a person to be alongside for our wedding day to capture so many personal and special moments. When she was available, it really was a no brainer.

Rebecca was very organized and one of the easiest of all our wedding vendors to work with. I always had complete confidence she was on top of things. When planning a wedding with lots of vendors, she was one I knew I did not need to worry about! My husband and I had also just relocated to northern NJ and I had started a new job so she was super flexible speaking with us in the evenings during the week.

When wedding day came, Rebecca and her assistant Lori were incredible – and also a lot of fun and kept us laughing! They helped to keep to the timeline discussed prior to the wedding (this was SO important since the day is so crazy and my husband/family and I were always being pulled in so many directions so it was comforting to know Rebecca was there to keep everyone on track!!) She made sure to get the images we had hoped for and also some beautiful candid moments. Rebecca is so creative and has an amazing eye to capture stunning photos. When my husband and I received the photos after the wedding, it was as if we were able to relive what was the best day of our lives perfectly though them. There were the photos that told the story along with the beautifully artistic and also candid photos. When it came time to create the album, Rebecca did an incredible job that blew us away! When we had a hard time narrowing down our photos (since we loved so many!), she was flexible allowing us to add in additional photos. Rebecca is the BEST!!
