Working with Rachel and her husband John was a truly wonderful experience and their photographs so beautifully documented the wedding of our dreams. Rachel was a full partner in preparing for and executing the photographic narrative that we desired. She responded promptly to numerous questions and concerns, always leaving me feeling supremely confident that the photographic elements of our wedding would be unique and specifically designed for us. As a late-in-life bride, my requests were somewhat different than those of many brides, and I loved how Rachel responded, understood, and she and John accommodated them.

I had known Rachel from my best friend’s sister’s wedding, my best friend’s wedding, my sister’s wedding, and various family photo shoots - when I got engaged, seriously that night, I messaged her to tell her the good news! It was absolutely no question at all, she had to be our photographer! We were lucky enough to also have her husband, John, as our second shooter for our wedding, too! Talk about a power couple!

What I love so much about the Halseys is how comfortable they make you feel the moment they are in your presence! They had such an excitement and energy that in turn made ME more excited! Something that was very important to my husband and I was making sure our daughter was invovled every step of the way, and they totally embraced that! From our Engagement Shoot to the Wedding Day, they were sure to do whatever they could to make sure she was a part of it! They even sat with her and showed her how to work the camera to help make her feel more comfortable!

Preparing for the wedding, Rachel was super responsive to all of the messages I sent regarding timeline, shot-lists, and all the other little details to make the day perfect. Whenever I had a question, she was right on top of it with an answer and guidance. Rachel and John even went to our hotel they week of our wedding to see where the First Look would take place to scope out the right angles and lighting!

The day of, they let us enjoy ourselves so much! We got the must-have formal shots we wanted, but what I was most excited about was they captured us ENJOYING the day! All of the candids and little details and sweet moments, they got.

In just a few days from our wedding, Rachel sent over some sneak peeks and I instantly started to cry. It was more than I could have ever imagined! They were absolute perfection! I have never felt so beautiful than I do in those photos she and John captured - I’ll admit, I keep just staring at them! I cannot wait to see the full album!

I know we will cherish their photos for the rest of our lives, and I am so grateful to have a permament go-to photographer for the rest of our lives! Halseys - you’ll never be able to get rid of us! Rachel photographed a dear friend's wedding last summer and since we saw her work, we knew we had to have her photograph our day, too. From start to finish, Rachel was extremely professional, personable, and just plain old KIND. She loves what she does, she has an amazing artist's eye, and she is incredibly responsive. She made my husband and I comfortable in front of the camera with ease. We had an engagement shoot with Rachel and we used the photos for our Save the Date cards. For our wedding day, Rachel was prompt, she was extremely organized, and she kept the mood light as she photographed the large and fine details. My family was incredibly impressed with Rachel and her husband, John. We have gotten many messages about their work and the previews we received of our photos just days after our wedding were stunning. WITHOUT QUESTION, Rachel and John are the best! We'll be going to them for our family photos from here on out!

Rachel is absolutely amazing, as both a photographer and person. She did both our engagement and wedding photos, and we could not be happier with how they turned out - we truly feel like she captured us and the emotions of the day (while making us look a million times more photogenic). The pictures all are stunning and don't feel forced or posed, and she made us feel so comfortable. She went above and beyond for us in every sense of planning and execution: working with us creatively to find a pricing plan that worked, talking through timeline and suggestions, and even calming me down from pre-wedding jitters :) Honestly working with Rachel was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we can't recommend her highly enough.

When I got engaged, Rachel was the easiest vendor for my fiancé and I to go with, as we had seen her work with my sister's wedding. I cannot express how beautiful her work is, but mostly how beautiful of a person she is. She makes you a priority, is kind and personable, and her husband and sister helped make our wedding day so special. She really and truly gets to know her clients and what they want and she produces their vision and so much more. She made my husband and I a Christmas ornament and surprised us with it in the mail because thats the kind of person she is. Her photos are the perfect balance of traditional and artsy and I was at ease during my wedding day knowing that I would love the photos she took. It has been a honor to work with her and I consider her a friend after this wedding process.

I honestly can not recommend Rachel enough. She helped to make my wedding day such a breeze and a joy. From the first time I met with her I felt like I was talking to a friend and not just my photographer. She is incredibly kind and made me feel so comfortable. My husband was so nervous about our engagement shoot since he does not love getting his picture taken and she made him feel so at ease and the pictures turned out amazing. Leading up to our wedding she was incredibly organized which made it so easy on our special day. There was no scrambling to pull people together for photos. Everything was pre planned and all of the photos that we knew we wanted were taken.

We recently received our wedding photos and could not be happier with them. She captured our precious memories so perfectly and for that we are forever grateful to her. We will for sure use her again! We decided long ago that she will definitely be out family photographer!

Rachel is an absolute gem of a photographer and a person. Photography was one of the more important decisions for our wedding, and after a lot of searching, and decided we wanted to go with Rachel. We had both of our engagement and wedding photos done by her (and her side-kick husband, John!) Her love of photography and people really show through the images she creates. Rachel went above and beyond in every aspect of our wedding. She met with us numerous times to go over different ideas and was always willing to come to where we live. She was very prompt with getting us our pictures back and they are beyond perfect. She constantly put us at ease and we would highly recommend her. Her pricing is very reasonable and she got through all of the pictures we wanted taken at our wedding very efficiently. She was the best!

I spent hours on Rachel’s photography blog one evening, and I simply couldn’t wrap my mind around how incredibly beautiful the pictures were! Each picture was unique and sensational. I was in complete awe instantly!

I contacted Rachel in regards to engagement pictures, and she was professional, honest, but also down to Earth, sweet, and incredibly friendly. My fiance and I decided to go to the beach. It was November, and chilly, but that didn't bother Rachel. She was so passionate, and she would have rolled up her pants to step into the ocean if that's what we wanted. From a professional standing Rachel was/is able to capture the most breathtaking photographs. From a personal standing, Rachel is one, if not, the most sweetest and kind people I have ever met.

The photos were incredible. Looking at the hundreds of perfect pictures, I could not wait for our wedding. I knew I had the best photographer, and my wedding pictures would be immaculate. It was an honor to have her shoot our wedding.

She captured every moment from the time I was getting my makeup on until the last dance at the reception (and everything in between). We were never wondering where she was or ever feeling like, “hey, step back!” in the 8 hours either. It was perfect. If I wanted to grab a quick picture with a friend, she would be right there, and jump to it. Her drive to make every picture she took perfect was evident.

If I didn’t have Rachel as my photographer, I would not have the wedding pictures I have today. I constantly look at them, reliving the day, but also HONEST TO GOD, because they are absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t imagine having another photographer take on such a task, or take other professional photos for us again! Rachel Halsey is an incredible individual, and THE MOST TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHER. If you don’t even look into Rachel, you will never understand how much you missed out!

Rachel was incredible for both our engagement shoot and wedding.
