Our elopement on December 8th, 2024, was an absolute dream come true, and so much of that is thanks to Julia! My fiance and I had the opportunity to do our engagement shoot with Julia and we could not be happier with the experience and the results! Before the shoot, we were able to communicate easily with her over text and send ideas to her that she did her best to incorporate into the shoot. I was initially nervous because it was the first time we were taking official photos for the wedding and being in front of the camera is not something I’m very used to. Julia captured my fiancé’s and I engagement and it was such a great experience. I was not expecting getting engaged let alone a photographer, and I don’t often get my photos taken but Julia made us feel comfortable and made the experience fun! It was a very important moment for us and I will treasure these pictures forever. The photos came out amazing, the poses were playful and natural. The best part was that she gave us some space for us to take it in. Julia was able to give us sneak peaks the day of. Our engagement was the Friday before thanksgiving and we got our pictures the Tuesday after thanksgiving which to me was fast turnaround and she kept us in the loop about any updates, and I appreciated the open communication. Julia Wakefield Photography did a couple’s photo shoot for myself and my boyfriend, and our time with her couldn’t have been any better! I was worried that doing a photo shoot would be awkward, but Julia brought a positive and relaxing energy that made the whole experience a lot of fun.
