Rachael was such a joy to be around on my wedding day - she really brightened every encounter with her (even when I was worrying about a threat of rain!!)

She was an absolute DREAM to work with and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how our engagement and wedding photos turned out. Our friends have since hired her for their wedding and we are excited to see her again!

When choosing our wedding vendors, photography was always one of my top priorities, even more so given the covid pandemic related challenges impacting weddings. I initially found Rachael through a vendor search on The Knot and was impressed with the excellent reviews I saw. My husband and I loved our initial consultation call with Rachael, she was extremely friendly, calm, and super organized. She walked us through how she approaches each wedding day from the way she prepares in the months/weeks leading up to the big day, to contingency planning for weather, and how she stores and backups up all the photos. The galleries she sent as examples were so beautiful, they brought me to tears. My husband said “If you don’t even know these people and these photos have touched you so much then why would we look an further, we need to hire Rachael for our wedding.”

Wedding planning was stressful for me, but every interaction with Rachael was so easy and she always set me at ease and supported/cheered me along while offering to help in any way she could. Her communication is awesome, she’s quick to answer questions and always keeps her out of office notifications updated if she’s traveling to let you know when to expect a response and how to reach her for emergencies. She also had great recommendations for other wedding vendors based on her experience in the industry. Rachael is extremely organized and made sure she had a complete list of all the combinations of family/wedding party/friend group photos we wanted for the day. Aside from specific family groupings, we didn’t request a detailed list of photos because we had the utmost faith that she would use her artistic ability to capture the day and our guests. We have no regrets, she nailed it!

My husband and I were nervous before our engagement session, but she quickly set us at ease. Our engagement session felt more like a fun conversation with a friend vs. a photo shoot and we couldn’t be more excited with how the pictures turned out, they are gorgeous and really capture our authentic selves. On our wedding day I was so excited to see Rachael and we loved spending the day with her and her 2nd shooter, it was like having two bonus friends along for the ride. Rachael is excellent at sticking to a timeline, but in a way that makes it feel like the whole day is flowing naturally instead of a rigid march from event to event or picture to picture. Our ceremony ran long, and we ended up starting pictures late, but Rachel was able to catch up our timeline without cutting any shots or making us feel rushed. When she hugged me goodbye at the end of the night I was holding back tears because I didn’t want our time with her to be over. I highly recommend Rachael, hiring her our best decision! We fall more and more in love with our photos every time we look at them and have received countless compliments on our photos. Thank you for capturing our wedding day so perfectly Rachael!

I knew I wanted to hire Rachael before I was even engaged. I knew four different people from my high school that had used Rachael for their wedding photos and I thought her work was just incredible. Her photos are absolutely stunning and I love how she captures such a special day. However, I didn't know at the time what a wonderful human she is or how supportive she is as a vendor. I signed a contract with Rachael either right before the pandemic hit or literally right as it started. My wedding was 1.5 years away still and I didn't know the pandemic was going to have an impact on my wedding. During this time, I followed Rachael on social media where she was always super positive, supportive, reassuring, and simply made COVID brides feel so much better about the horrible situation. Many tears were shed along the way, but Rachael always made me feel so much better and truly got me through the COVID experience with her positive attitude. Unfortunately, we made the difficult decision to push our wedding back another year. Rachael worked with us to secure a new wedding date and never complained or made us feel bad about our decision to postpone. (I know that decision hurts her business, unfortunately!) She was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. She is a very good resource for all things wedding (ideas, recommendations, etc!). Be sure to follow her on Instagram!!! She recommended several videographers to us and even started contacting them on our behalf to inquire about our new wedding date! I've even asked her for recommendations on external hard drives. You can literally ask her anything and she will help you!
Flash forward to our wedding day, it was supposed to rain all day and it was humid and super windy. Rachael kept a positive attitude and reassured me we would get all the pictures I wanted and the rain wouldn't ruin my day. She knew my venue well and had backup plans in case the weather didn't cooperate. Her presence on my wedding day made me feel so much better about the weather. Luckily, it didn't end up raining until late at night when we were dancing and therefore, I got all the outdoor photos I wanted! :) Even if it had rained, I know Rachael would have made the best of it with indoor locations and the pictures still would have been amazing!
Rachael goes above and beyond to help you with whatever you need. My wedding dress needed to be taped to my body and she took the time to help my sister and me in the morning. Later, I found myself surrounded by only males and needed my dress bustled quickly, so Rachael actually bustled my dress for me. Rachael is really good at keeping you on schedule! Being on time was a big worry of mine, and I never felt like I was rushing or delayed. I can't tell you how nice it was that she was cognizant of the schedule the entire day so that I didn't have to be worried about it!!! She was also really good at photographing my nieces and nephews at the wedding. They are all very young and she was really good at getting their attention and making them laugh/smile. I have a large extended family, and Rachael did a really good job of rounding everyone up quickly and being patient while getting really good group photos. She does a really nice job of instructing everyone without being pushy! This is an extremely important quality for photographers, in my opinion! Even my father, who is a man of few words, was raving about how excellent Rachael was! I just can't say enough good things about Rachael! When I received my wedding album, I literally cried! The pictures are so beautiful and I will cherish them forever. Definitely buy the prints from her, they are of awesome quality! I have her photos hanging all over my house and they are simply stunning! Thank you to Rachael for being so wonderful throughout the long process! My husband and I really appreciate you!

Where do I even begin?! Rachael was easily the BEST decision we made for our wedding. Not only is she an incredibly talented artist but she's an excellent communicator, professional, organized, kind, and above all, really fun to be around. We had both our engagement shoot and our wedding day with Rachael and myself and my husband actually had FUN doing both (and like many, my husband wasn't initially excited to spend hours taking photos). I've looked back and all of the pictures at least 100 times and still smile every time I do - they are stunning. She captured all of the big and little moments so perfectly.

The actual pictures are important but working with someone that makes the day enjoyable is just as important (I think!). Rachael became part of our crew and my friends and family affectionately call her by her first name in recapping the day, as if she was another bridesmaid we've known for years. I am genuinely sad the day is over and we don't get to spend more time with our friend - if you are lucky enough to get to work with her I know you will feel the same.

She brings such great energy to the engagement session and on the wedding day. She works so well with all of the other vendors and our bridal party. She gives great cues to the entire group and communicates well not only on the day but via email leading up to the day. She was so flexible with date and venue changes due to covid and she had such an impressive turnaround time with our photos! She sent over the most gorgeous sneak peak a couple days after the wedding and we had our entire gallery within one month! She also does a fabulous job on editing photos and has great attention to detail. One of my bridesmaids already hired her for her wedding!

Where do I begin? Well to start, I own my own wedding planning company in Chicago so when it came time for me to pick a photographer, it’s safe to say I was extremely picky in what I was looking for. I understand that loving your vendor team is more than just the work they produce; in order to be happy with your team, you have to love their personality. Especially photographers, they are literally with you longer than you’re with your soon-to-be-spouse, so if you better love being around them! I actually hadn’t worked with Rachael before I signed with her for my wedding. I hopped on a zoom with her and immediately fell at ease because of her genuine nature and fun/goofy personality. I could tell we would be friends outside of the wedding world. We had our engagement shoot with Rachael and is it weird to say I had a blast? I do love taking photos but even my [now] husband thought she put him at ease and really directed with poses and kept the conversation and laughs going. The photos were OUT OF THIS WORLD which I truly couldn’t be happier about. So when our wedding was postponed from Fall 2020 to Spring 2021 and there was “no end in sight” we decided to push our wedding to 2022 and “elope” on our second date. Rachael was an absolute sweetheart among the transition, while she did not sign up for it, she allowed me to vent (ha!) and was one of my biggest support teams. As we started planning our elopement in Texas in May 2021, we were really stuck what to do with photography. Do we hire a local vendor or fly Rachael out with one of her elopement packages? Weighing pros/cons and everything in between, we felt the most excited and comfortable bringing her with (the only vendor we flew in!) to capture our big day. I’m currently honeymooning and could not wait to write her a review, despite we only have our **UNREAL** sneak peak back.
After reviewing the photos, sliding back and forth between the mini gallery [just about 100 times] I shed a few tears and immediately reached out that she is verbatim, the *best* photographer ever. I work with countless fabulous photographers, don’t get me wrong, I love SO many that I can’t really favorite just one. But there is something very special about Rachael’s editing style, ability to work with the elements, her happy go-lucky spirit and overall talent. I wish I could put into words how much she heightened our big day and will allow us to look back at the photos, smile, and relive the day. Spending the money on a photographer is well worth it. You will never regret having amazing photos, because it’s more than the photos you get back. It’s the memories you can look at when you’re having a bad day, and to pass down to your children and grandchildren. Do yourself a favor and set up a call with Rachael. She travels nation and worldwide (hopefully we’re working an Italy wedding together next year ;) ) and will be your new best friend, and favorite photographer of course. Rachael was the best choice to capture our wedding! If you are reading her reviews do yourself a favor a book her ASAP!! Rachael was incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding and throughout the wedding day. Our photos are incredible and we get so many comments about the quality and style of photography. Rachael had shot several other weddings that we had been too, she was such a blast and so personable that we knew we wanted her when it was time to plan our wedding. Rachael thought of many things that did not cross our minds and even served me a margarita during our reception :). She was responsive and did her research when shooting at new sites to make the process fun and easy. We can't wait to book her again for future photography needs!

If I could Rachael higher than a five star I would. My husband and I found Rachael after many days of deep diving into online reviews and Instagram pages. Her talent poured through her pictures. The style/coloring was everything we were looking for and the moments she captured of couples and guests were genuine and authentic. After we booked her, to my surprise, not only was Rachael super talented but she was also a light to be around. Her personality radiates positivity and she makes you feel so comfortable in situations you're probably not overly used to (someone taking multiple pictures of you). We absolutely LOVE the way our wedding pictures turned out and have a ton of friends who are now using Rachael for their special day after seeing them. Any couple would be lucky to have Rachael as their photographer!

My husband and I found Rachael on a fluke, and it was the best thing that ever happened to us - both for our wedding and for our personal lives. Choosing to work with Rachael brought nothing but positive vibes. She stayed present and on top of her game in every way possible. When our wedding venue (a restaurant in Chicago) decided to close it's doors without notice 3 weeks before our big day, it was Rachael who stepped up to the challenge and got our local news to cover the story to help get justice for us, as well as attract other venues to help host our 100 person wedding. She reached out to many personal contacts in her business world to help as well. We thankfully landed on a beautiful new venue - thanks to her persistence and hard work. The day of our wedding she commanded the room and took charge (in the best way possible) and kept the ball rolling so we all stayed on our timeline. As a bride, you try to think of everything you can do yourself and try to shoulder a lot of the daunting tasks. Having Rachael part of our journey took so much stress and worry out of me. She truly knows what she is doing and it shows in everything she does. Her style of photography was exactly what my husband and I wanted; light and bright photos that showed a playful side as well as some high end editorial shots (it was perfect for showing my dress off). I felt like each picture could have been submitted to a magazine! She made me and my bridesmaids look beautiful, and made my husband and his groomsman look dapper and handsome. Everyone had so much fun with her! My husband and I still continue to stay in touch with Rachael (a year after our wedding). It's a bummer she's relocating to South Carolina - we kept wanting to meet up with our dogs at the beaches in Chicago! She is still working in Chicago though so hopefully we'll still be able to meet up for a doggie play date! We love Rachael so much - and know you will love her too!
