We initially sought out a designer in the wedding planning process, and Carissa delivered and more. We started only with vague ideas, a list of dislikes, and a general vibe for our guests but no color scheme, mood board, or concrete design. Through thoughtful questions and curated options, Carissa translated our input into a cohesive vision we loved. She brought it to life by seamlessly coordinating with our florist and helping style the groom.

Planning without Carissa would have been hectic. The time she saved us and the efficiency and smoothness of her execution were phenomenal. Having her at vendor and venue visits gave us peace of mind because we had someone who knew exactly what to ask and pushed the vendors to deliver.
Her monthly check-ins and master checklist kept us on schedule without feeling overwhelmed. She handled most vendor correspondence, offered budget-respecting recommendations, and patiently answered our questions (big and small). When the venue set out the wrong (and clashing!) wine glasses, she caught the mistake, got the venue to reset everything to baseline before any guests sat down, and later secured us a refund for the upgrade we paid for. Even while recovering from ankle injuries that week, Carissa was fully present, coordinating with her assistants, bustling the bride’s dress, and checking in on us throughout the night.

After being initially reluctant about hiring a wedding coordinator, I can honestly say that working with Carissa from Positively Charming Weddings completely changed my mind — and then some. From our very first consultation with Carissa, Samantha and I knew she truly had our best interests at heart, but we still didn’t realize just how invaluable her expertise would become.

Four months before our wedding, we were thrown a major curveball: the venue we had already paid a deposit on informed us they would be expediting major renovations. It was an incredibly stressful situation, but Carissa immediately jumped into action. Navigating that challenge without her would have been overwhelming — with her by our side, it was not only manageable, but seamless. (For the record, the individuals we worked with at the venue were fantastic — the renovation decision was out of their hands, and they truly did all they could to help.)

Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, Carissa provided constant support and insight into what makes a wedding day unforgettable — with a special focus on making sure the bride and groom actually get to enjoy it.
