    Fabulous Wedding Coordinator!

    I got married in February 2022 and Carissa was my wedding coordinator gifted to me by my MOH. I didn't think I needed a coordinator but my venue made you get one. Well, turns out, she was such an asset to my wedding. Carissa's monthly emails/checklists kept me on point. She always responded to my emails quickly and had a viable solution for every road bump that I hit during the process.

    My rehearsal ran smoothly because of her and everybody in my wedding party was impressed by her ability to make everything flow so smoothly.

    When it got to the day of, I knew that she would bring my vision to life and she did! Everything that I had imagined and sent her emails about she made it happen. Carissa also made the day flow so smoothly and I am grateful she was apart of my wedding!

    Ready for anything!

    Working with Carissa of Positively Charming was the best decision we made (second to deciding to get married of course). We started the process a little on the later side and Carissa was able to jump in, help us catch up and stay on track. Besides the quick responses, help with our (my) indecisiveness, and excitement for our vision, Carissa was also able to help us with some MAJOR last minute obstacles. Rain was suddenly predicted for our outdoor wedding. Carissa supported us with a fabulous can do attitude, helped us draft a few contingencies and pivoted with us day of as the weather changed throughout the day. I could not have imagined making it through that storm without Carissa in our corner helping us move and shift things into place to give us a perfect, albeit damp, wedding day. And hey, a wet knot is harder to untie anyway.

    An Amazing Experience from Start to Finish. We Were So Happy!

    We were so happy we chose Carissa to help us plan our wedding; it was definitely one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to Carissa and her team.

    From our first meeting, Carissa did a great job of getting to know us, how we met, our personalities, our likes and dislikes, and our vision for our big day. It was really fun to work with her. She had great ideas, gave us monthly 'to dos' to keep us on track (which was very helpful so as not to be overwhelmed by all of the details), and helped to guide our decisions along the way. Carissa's vendor partners were absolutely amazing as well, from our hair and make-up team to our fabulous photographers and our outstanding DJ. We got so many compliments on our flowers too; they were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen!

    It was breathtaking to see everything come together the day of our wedding, thanks to Carissa and her team. The best part was not having to worry about any issues the day of the wedding; Carissa and her team handled everything masterfully so we could be present in the moment, enjoy each other, and spend time with our guests.

    We would highly recommend Carissa to anyone looking for a suburb experience from start to finish. We would give her 10 stars if we could!

    Spectacular Coordinator

    I will start off by saying that Carissa is the only coordinator/planner that I reached out to after our engagement. Once I saw her website and read her reviews, I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her on our wedding. Now that our wedding is over, we have zero regrets. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her and highly recommend her services.
    We mainly need a day-of-coordinator that could assist with some design aspects, but we didn’t need a full wedding planner. Carissa worked with us to create a custom package that specifically fit our needs.
    Although we didn’t use her full-service design package, we did have one early design meeting with her to help us talk through colors and décor, and then from there, she connected us with many of her preferred vendors (who are also phenomenal) to order linens, tables, chairs, etc. Throughout the rest of our engagement, she kept us on track by sending us frequent emails with reminders and tips.
    About a month before the wedding is when things really kicked into gear. We can’t emphasize how organized and on-top of things Carissa was. She was taking care of things that we didn’t even know needed to be done (like table service ordering and final head counts). And on the day of the wedding, we literally did not think about anything related to planning. She literally took ALL the logistical stress away from us.
    Beyond the big important things, like the stellar organization and communication, it’s the little details that really show her expertise and experience. We had purchased See’s candy as wedding favors, and we wanted them placed at each seat. However, our wedding was outdoors in July, and since it was so hot that day Carissa made the decision to not place them at each seat, knowing they would melt and become a big mess. I honestly think some coordinators wouldn’t have thought ahead about that and would have still set them out and tried to follow the original plan. But it’s the impromptu problem solving and adaptability that we appreciated most. She was able to professionally handle any curveball thrown her way, including an MIA DJ two weeks before the wedding (which thankfully, got resolved).

    Do yourself a favor...

    ...and hire Carissa as your wedding coordinator! I’m an administrative assistant by trade and I came into the wedding process thinking I could do it all by myself. *Nope*. I’m glad I found Carissa, she’s everything I hoped for and more! She’s great at understanding your vision, communicating constantly, noticing the details, and keeping you on schedule. My three biggest thank you’s to her involve: 1. The décor for my wedding reception. I had a small wedding budget and zero manpower to DIY anything. With the little I help I provided, Carissa worked magic to create a beautiful, welcoming and romantic space. 2. I’m also grateful to her for making “the show go on” even when the unexpected happened; part of my family missed the wedding ceremony and our taco caterer arrived over an hour late. I trusted her completely and didn’t panic for a second. 3. I'm super grateful to her for her patience and understanding as we drafted new plans, scratched them, made changes, and more changes, and on and on until the very last minute... Without Carissa, the wedding would not have come together.

    Amazing Wedding Coordinator!

    Carissa was an incredible wedding coordinator! She helped me stay organized and sane throughout the wedding planning process and was helpful with keeping my extremely large wedding party (20 of us!) on time to each part of the day. The thing I liked best about having Carissa as our wedding coordinator was that I was able to enjoy the day and was not ever bothered with questions or having to worry about something not going right because she took care of it before it ever got to me. In fact, I found out about things that could have gone wrong after I returned from my honeymoon that Carissa took care of and I never even knew about since it was handled perfectly.

    Another thing that I especially appreciated was feeling cared for beyond just keeping the day moving and going smoothly. She looked out for how my husband and I were feeling emotionally and made sure to carve out time for us to rest, take a break from pictures, and made sure we stayed hydrated and actually got to eat our meal. She helped keep the focus of the day about us. It is so easy for that to get lost when you have many guests that you want to please, so we appreciated having someone to step in and look out for our best interest. Hiring Carissa for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

    Do not hesitate to hire Carissa and team!!

    I truly can’t say enough amazing things about Carissa and her team at Positively Charming Weddings. She was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding, a year and a half in advance. Within the first 2 minutes of chatting with Carissa the first time, I knew we were the perfect match. She is incredibly organized, compassionate, an amazing listener, and isn’t afraid to take the lead and make decisions when necessary. She is thoughtful, calm, has a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and was able to provide personalized suggestions based on my preferences at every turn.

    To be honest, I was originally super nervous and anxious to hire a wedding planner, as I am a very type A person because of my job as a programs and event planner. But Carissa exceeded all expectations and truly was able to allow me to relax and enjoy my wedding weekend without a worry in the world. She was a problem solver every step of the way. For example, she offered to manually fixed my seating chart the day before the wedding and found a print shop willingly to print very specific last minute signage (both things that were my fault that they were delayed/wrong).

    She kept not only me, but my husband and both families on track leading up to the wedding, provided monthly checklists, was available via phone and email for my questions, and even provided bridal party itineraries the weekend of. Her and her team were incredibly easy to work with, and our other vendors and bridal party members said the exact same thing. She can work with anyone, with any personality type, and makes you feel important and heard.

    If you want someone to go above and beyond for you, look no further! She will make your day everything YOU want it to be. Couldn’t recommend her and her team more…I walked away with a new friend!

    One million percent recommend Carissa!

    We hired Carissa as a Month-Of planner, but she was SO MUCH more than that. She seriously goes above and beyond for you. She is so organized and personable which made working with her so wonderful. Every month she sent a checklist to help keep me on track for the planning I was doing on my own which was awesome. She was even an amazing sounding board for non-planning-related issues too ha!

    On our wedding day, everything went so so smoothly. If anything went remotely wrong - I still am blissfully unaware because she found a way to fix it. My husband and I both agree, everyone should hire Carissa and her team! One million percent recommend!

    Amazing Wedding Planner

    We couldn’t be more grateful to have worked with Carissa from Positively Charming Weddings for our wedding. From start to finish, the entire planning process was seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. Over the course of the year, Carissa was always incredibly responsive, easy to talk to, and consistently one step ahead.

    She took the time to truly understand our vision and priorities, offering expert guidance every step of the way. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and high level of professionalism made all the difference — we truly felt like we were in the best hands.

    Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. We received so many compliments from our guests, and everything looked absolutely stunning.     You Need a Planner!

    I could not have imagined what my entire wedding planning experience would have been without the help of Carissa and her team. My husband and I knew from the beginning that we needed help with the wedding planning process. Prior to our wedding, my husband spent about 7 months working out of town, so a LOT of the planning landed on me, and having her help was what we needed.

    From day one, Carissa made us feel comfortable and we felt confident having her by our side with decision making and designs. She always added her two cents, if asked, but still kept in mind what we needed and wanted. Carissa even helped us navigate a VERY STRESSFUL, unexpected, venue change 6 weeks before our wedding.

    The day of our wedding, Carissa was amazing! She handled things with grace and never let me know if there were issues - my family and friends felt like they could relax and enjoy the day, and not worry about any minuscule issues.

    We hired Carissa for the full planning and designing package and if you’re on the fence about hiring a planner, I’d say go for it - and choose Carissa while you’re at it. I was mostly a stress-free bride (shocking, I know!) and that was 100% because I knew I had a professional like her to help guide us through it all.

    Carissa is fantastic! She was there every step of the way - providing reminders, cheat sheets, arranging to meet vendors - all of it. But where she really shined was on the big day. Everything was seamless and ran like clockwork because of Carissa and her team.     Absolute Perfection

    The thought of planning a wedding to me was overwhelming and frankly I had no idea where to start. All I knew was that my venue required a coordinator so I started the search. The best decision we made was to have Positively Charming Weddings coordinate our wedding. They made the whole process simple, straightforward and honestly easy. The regular checkins and emails about what we needed to do next etc. was so helpful and kept me on track so the when it came time for the details meeting a month before the wedding, we felt so prepared and ready for the big day with little to no stress. Carissa and Miranda are amazing at what they do and know every detail about what a truly special wedding requires. I cannot feign to imagine what the day would've looked like without their expertise. I can't thank Positively Charming Weddings enough for their above and beyond effort at every step of way, they really made the day absolutely perfect and completely flawless.     Winds called for quick thinking!

    My (now) husband and I planned our wedding for over a year. Immediately, after getting engaged, we knew we wanted to have Carissa be our day of coordinator to make our vision come to life on our big day. We knew she was a great choice in regards to her organizational, relational, and leadership skills.

    Like any wedding, you can plan, plan, plan, and there will always be a small detail that was overlooked during planning, or a hicccup from a vendor, etc. Carissa was more than leader, truly, she needs to wear a cape because she was super woman!

    We had heavy winds the day of our wedding which called for a lot of quick thinking and problem solving in regards to our set up and decor. Carissa went above and beyond in many regards. For example: she made sure all of our name tents were taped down (something I didn't plan on); she also made sure our signs were adequately placed so they would not tumble with the wind, etc. Additionally, Carissa was overseeing all of our vendors who in some way or another also ran into unforeseen challenges. She worked with them and directed them on how to readjust. In the end I was so pleased with the outcome.

    My favorite part of having Carissa on our big day was right before walking out for our entrance into the reception. She made it a point for my husband and I to have a few moments to ourselves and just pause. Wow. Looking back, I can not say how much I truly appreciated that moment. The day goes by so quickly that often times you don't get to connect with your newlywed spouse because your busy greeting guests or going from the toasts to the money dance, or something else. So the moments that Carissa purposely orchestrated for us to pause, eat, pray, and dance were such a gift.

    As you can imagine, it is nearly impossible to sit and eat dinner with family members coming to the newlywed table and chatting. Well Carissa seriously delivered for this portion of our day. After standing in the receiving line greeting our guests, Carissa had our dinner, nice and hot, waiting for us at our table. Our hearts were overjoyed!

    She's truly amazing and will go above and beyond your expectations. She is diligent, passionate, creative, caring, and very organized! I can not even imagine how our vendors and the small details that needed to be adjusted spontaneously, would have all worked out. It would have been mayhem. Truly, my husband and I were so blessed to have Carissa spearhead the coordinating of our big day.

    The Fairy Godmother you NEED at your wedding

    5 STARS IS JUST NOT ENOUGHT. Carissa is incredible. Having to postpone my wedding and navigating all the changes that came with that, Carissa was such a constant, positive force in my life. She was a shoulder to lean on, my biggest cheerleader, my fairy godmother. I wholeheartedly believe my wedding was the best day ever because of Carissa and her team. I didn't know a single issue at my wedding, I was blissfully unaware because they took care of everything. I was so impressed with Carissa's organization, positive attitude and commitment to my wedding. I know she had many other weddings going on but I ALWAYS felt important to her and that meant the world to a sensitive bride.     You've found your coordinator!

    Carissa is honestly the best coordinator we have ever had the opportunity to work with. My wife and I are wedding photographers and we're already counting down the days until we get to work with the Positively Charming team again. Carissa went beyond just relaying information and instead worked with us to help make sure the day went as smoothly as possible. Some days we don't have the opportunity to meet with coordinators until shortly before the ceremony but Carissa and Kailyn made a point to introduce themselves when we first arrived at the venue. Even before meeting, Carissa was a rockstar, responding to every email super quick, going above and beyond for timeline details, and was an all around cheerleader for everything wedding related. If my wife and I had to get married again, we would pick a wedding day solely based on Carissa's availability.

    Best decision

    Carissa is AMAZING!! With only 1 month until our wedding, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to plan the whole wedding on my own, but once Carissa stepped in, my fears melted. Hiring Carissa as our day-of coordinator was one of the best investments I made for the day. She is kind, hard-working, and willing to go the extra mile to make your day beautiful. She also stayed very flexible throughout the day and everything ran so smooth. Carissa helped to set up the site and it looked amazing. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

    Friendly, professional, organized

    I was really on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, but my cousin who got also got married recently told me about her wedding coordinator, Carissa, and how incredibly helpful she was on her wedding day. So, at the last minute I decided to reach out to see if they were available, and thank goodness they were and willing to help! I am so glad I got them on board to help me. Kailyn was my coordinator and was so professional, extremely organized, and took care of so many little details I would have never even thought about. I honestly think my wedding day would have been a disaster if I Kailyn wasn’t around. She was so helpful with figuring out the details prior to my wedding day, and contacting my vendors to make sure everything was set that once my wedding day came, not only did she take care of setting up (and do an incredible job), she kept everything running so smoothly, I didn’t have to worry about a thing! I was just able to be in the moment and enjoy my wedding. And to top it all off, she is probably one of the nicest people I’ve met! I would 100% recommend Positively Charming Weddings to anyone who’s looking to have a stress-free (or at least as stress-free as possible) wedding planning experience!

    5 Stars – Positively Charming Weddings

    After being initially reluctant about hiring a wedding coordinator, I can honestly say that working with Carissa from Positively Charming Weddings completely changed my mind — and then some. From our very first consultation with Carissa, Samantha and I knew she truly had our best interests at heart, but we still didn’t realize just how invaluable her expertise would become.

    Four months before our wedding, we were thrown a major curveball: the venue we had already paid a deposit on informed us they would be expediting major renovations. It was an incredibly stressful situation, but Carissa immediately jumped into action. Navigating that challenge without her would have been overwhelming — with her by our side, it was not only manageable, but seamless. (For the record, the individuals we worked with at the venue were fantastic — the renovation decision was out of their hands, and they truly did all they could to help.)

    Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, Carissa provided constant support and insight into what makes a wedding day unforgettable — with a special focus on making sure the bride and groom actually get to enjoy it. She kept us on track with an efficient timeline of deliverables, helping us prioritize what truly mattered. Her detailed itineraries became absolutely indispensable for our big day.

    Carissa also handled aspects we would never have thought of — from tipping guidelines to event bookings, etiquette, and countless insider tips that would have been foreign to us without her guidance. On the wedding day itself, she and her assistant Katie managed everything: photographers, service staff, transportation, vendor deliveries, the DJ, the cake, floral arrangements, table settings — and probably a dozen other things we weren’t even aware of. Especially with the last-minute venue changes, it’s hard to imagine how our wedding could have been as perfect as it was without Carissa at the helm.

    Perhaps our favorite thing about working with Carissa was her calming presence. In moments of uncertainty or stress, she had an incredible ability to put us immediately at ease. No detail was too small and no problem too big — she handled everything with professionalism, grace, and genuine care.

    We’ve already recommended Positively Charming Weddings to other couples, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Carissa for making our wedding day truly magical. If we could give her more than 5 stars, we would!

    The coordinator you KNOW you need!

    Christian and I knew we wanted to make our wedding as personal as possible. For us, this meant we wanted to get married in our church and we wanted to have a say in the food, the drinks, the cake, the rentals, the stationery, the small little details. When we first decided on our location, we were ecstatic about how fun it would be to have no restrictions set by the venue about our vendors, but we quickly became overwhelmed with the unique (and very small) layout of our venue and how much we didn’t know about planning our own wedding from the ground up. We knew right then that investing in a coordinator would be the only way to achieve the outcome we wanted and have a good time doing it. We made the easy decision to have Carissa as our 10-month coordinator. She was there every step of the way - she simultaneously kept the planning process flowing with monthly check-ins, recommended vendors, assistance with communication, a lot of encouragement and so many more things along the way all while allowing us to put in the work and make our vision come to life. Sure, there were naturally moments that felt like the world was closing in on us, but then we’d get that monthly email from Carissa telling us to go enjoy a date night out because we were ahead of the game (only thanks to her guidance). Once we got to our one-month countdown, Carissa truly shined. The feeling of trusting someone to take over your where you left off was scary at first, but it was honestly the best and most exciting part of the planning! The weeks flew by and it was suddenly rehearsal! I remember going over details in my head and realizing there were directions I forgot to give or pictures of layouts I didn't include, but I knew that we worked to closely with Carissa that she would make it happen (and would probably do it better than my suggestions). The big day came and we were relaxed, excited to get married and celebrate with our loved ones! The time between our ceremony and our reception reveal felt like ages. We could not wait to see the magic Carissa and her team made happen. I remember seeing the room from a distance as we took our last photos and I felt so giddy - even the groom kept saying “it looks so damn good even from here.” Everything was exactly how we had envisioned it - I turned to Carissa with some tears and a big hug. I just wanted her to know that she made every single piece of our vision come to life. From her relationships with our vendors to her flawless execution, she allowed us to be so present during the evening as she and her team were putting out fires that we probably don’t even know about to this day. The number of guests who told us they had not been to a wedding with such a great flow and so many personal touches just made us so happy. We knew we put a lot of work on her plate, but Carissa embraced it and it made all the difference.

    Thank you, Carissa & your wonderful team, for making our day an absolute dream come true. We wouldn't ever dare try to re-live this day because there's just no way it could ever be as perfect as it ended up being.

    Wedding Day Hero 🎉

    I hired Carissa as a month-of coordinator and she went above and beyond with her advice during the planning process. She handled everything in the weeks leading up to my wedding and because of her I actually had time to relax and enjoy the time before my wedding. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect! Nothing went wrong and I know that this amazing wedding experience could not have happened without Carissa. She also had rental items that went perfectly with my design and turned out beautiful. I love her taste in design and if you need a full planner to design, she would make your wedding incredible. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

    Absolutely worth every penny.

    It was absolutely worth every single penny to pay for the help. You don't realize how many options you have available to you in every aspect of planning every detail until you ave someone with you every step of the way helping you and explaining everything to you. This whole thing was not low budget, low quality handling. I felt very taken care of. I learned SO MUCH throughout this entire process and Carissa and her team of trusted vendors made me feel like I was in such good hands. She genuinely cares and the authenticity definitely comes through no matter what it was.. if i had a small or even silly question Carissa always had an explanation and always helped me understand anything i was iffy about. I absolutely trusted she had my best interest in mind. making decisions can be so overwhelming but Carissa always helped me find the answer. My wedding truly was so magical and I wasn't worried about a thing on the day of, I was surprised lol. I highly highly recommend this team if you want to have peace of mind knowing ur day will go seamlessly. trust. the. process. I had a beautiful, elegant, amazing wedding and that would not have happened if I didn't have Carissa!

    Above and Beyond!

    I cannot even say enough great things!!! From the moment we started working with them until after our wedding, I have been BEYOND grateful for everything they have done.

    My husband and I started meeting with them before we finalized our venue/date. We both really didn’t know anything about wedding planning and Youtube/blogs were really not cutting it for us. We just needed a little expert advice so, we set up our initial call with Positively Charming. We spoke with Carissa shortly after and she went through all of their packages and we discussed which one was best for us! She answered all of our questions about our options and was patient in letting us make our final decisions. Carissa even gave us a few Venue suggestions because we ended up deciding to secure our venue before hiring our planner. All of her packages are very customizable and vary based on how much time/how involved you want to be in the planning/designing process.

    We ended up going with the Simply Charming Package - we chose this package because it fit all of our needs and I had decided that I didn’t really want any help with the actual design of the wedding. I ended up crafting a lot of items so, the basic package was perfect! Unfortunately, we ended up booking an October 2022 date instead of our planned May 2023 date so Carissa ended up already being booked. Fortunately, Carissa set us up with Kailyn as our Planner and we are SO happy to have worked with her!!

    Kailyn helped us look at different vendor options, looked over all of our vendor contracts, helped ask questions we didn’t even think to ask (that were highly important), and helped keep us on a timeline with her monthly check ins. She sent us monthly to do lists and made it really easy to work on our wedding planning in manageable pieces. Once we got closer to the date, she helped work on our timeline and toured the venue with us! This part of planning was VITAL and we don’t know what we would’ve done with Kailyn! There were so many little details that we hadn’t even thought about. There were just so many things to consider and she really helped us make decisions down to the smallest detail! From the table/decor placements to the schedules of our various vendors, everything was planned ahead of time and communicated with us! She helped us a ton with our last minute questions and helped us make important decisions that made our wedding turn out amazingly! Kailyn made sure our entire wedding party knew when/where they needed to be on the day of the wedding and they also passed out timelines to the whole crew so they were all informed!

    Kailyn was INCREDIBLE on the day of the wedding! I am in awe of how smoothly things went and how little stress/anxiety I felt because of how well planned things were. I honestly think the only hiccup that I noticed was my Fuji Instax Camera not working (lol). But even then, Kailyn helped find spare batteries and helped find another Instax Camera from a bridesmaid when the battery change didn’t work! Everything else went off without a hitch - Kailyn handled everything with a calm and bright demeanor which was greatly appreciated by someone who gets stressed easily! She made sure the bridal party was in the correct spots for the ceremony/reception, she made sure all of my homemade decorations were set up properly on the tables, and she was amazing at putting everything together! Kailyn definitely understood the vibe I was going for and executed it perfectly!

    My husband and I cannot recommend Kailyn and Positively Charming enough. No matter what type of bride you are, just do yourself the best favor and hire them as your planner!!!! I wish I could have another wedding, just to hire them again (sorry Andrew :P)!

    100/10 Recommend Hiring!!!

    Wow, where do I begin? I came across this company completely by happenstance and it ended up being the greatest decision for my wedding to hire them! I got to work with both Carissa and Kailyn and loved them both so much!!

    Long story short, there was drama with my venue and Carissa was already hired as a coordinator for another bride at my venue and reached out to me when she could tell I (rightfully) was in a panic. From there she paired me with Kailyn who really was my angel saint throughout the entire process. Before hiring her, I thought I would be fine with only hiring a month of coordinator, since I had already done a lot of the initial planning, but looking back, I don’t think my day would have ran as smoothly at all. Kailyn knew so much more than I even thought I knew. She jumped right in and worked with me to finish where I left off and was a constant source of reassurance, knowledge, and support. Every month I could count on Kailyn to check in with me with a detailed list of to-dos and in between then, she was always easy to reach and always responded quickly. Because of the drama with my venue/the owner, Kailyn and Carissa both were masters of patience and communication and would work tirelessly to get us answers from the owner/vendors. Having a coordinator to help liaise with vendors took an incredible amount of stress off of my to-do list and I am incredibly grateful that Kailyn was there to carry me to the finish line. The day of, both girls were there and ran everything behind the scenes and I barely had a worry that day! If you can find it in your budget to hire either a coordinator or a planner, I strongly urge you to consider it and more than anything, consider Positively Charming!
