Best decision we ever made was choosing Planterra for our wedding. The venue is beyond gorgeous, and the staff is so unbelievably good at what they do. Best communication. Best designers. Best florists. BEST staff. They even have the best recommended vendors. Everyone absolutely raves about how beautiful the place is - it just gets prettier as the night goes on!! And omg the food is just divine. One of our guests said, "Every time I got a little hungry, more food would appear! And it was all so good!" Seriously - everything was absolutely perfect. Multiple guests told us it was easily the best wedding they've been to. No amount of words could capture how perfect the night was. They are a little pricy - but they are absolutely worth it. They are SO SO SO good at what they do.

I can easily say that Planterra made my dreams come true. Planning a wedding out of state is already stressful enough that I cannot imagine how people do it without a place like Planterra. Every step of the way, Planterra was just on top of it. They have everything so organized that it made wedding planning probably as stress free as possible. Working with David to create my bouquet and the decor/wedding aesthetic was easy and so much fun. He has an eye that is just unmatched. The rest of the team there is very on top of everything else. I could seriously go on and on for pages on how perfect everything was. Communication was always speedy and detailed. They followed up as needed and double checked everything twice. The day of was pretty seamless with everyone working cohesively and everything was just too perfect to put into words. I am honestly blown away by the staff there. Incredible doesn’t even cover it.

We originally planned to get married at Planterra in April 2020 (we booked that date in November 2018!!). From all of our initial planning meetings way back in 2019, through all of the postponements, final details, the rehearsal and the day of, the team at Planterra made each step easy with all of their guidance. The conservatory was gorgeous (set up exactly as we imagined!), the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Planning with David was like having a wedding planner, making sure that we were on track and thinking about every detail. The day of coordinator, Tiffany, was also incredible. She paid attention to every detail, kept us running smoothly and on time, and handled all of our minor mishaps. And every one of their vendor recommendations were gems! We planned from out of state, and I don't think it would have been possible without the exceptional service that Planterra provided. I would highly recommend Planterra to anyone getting married in Michigan!

I can't imagine getting married anywhere besides Planterra! We spent almost two years planning our big day with David and the incredible Planterra team, and our experience was out-of-this-world from start to finish. They always made us feel like a priority and they were able to bring our vision to life in a way that was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The coordinators were SO unbelievably helpful on the big day; it truly felt like nothing could possibly go wrong with them in charge. We had so many guests comment on the top-notch service, the amazing food, and of course, the beauty of the venue. Could not recommend Planterra more highly!

From start to finish they were detailed, helpful, and will make your inspiration come to life! They actually exceeded my expectations. David was nothing but amazing! Very detailed, fun, helpful, and will make sure everything looks the way you want it or more. The whole team made sure to take care of everything. With literally last minute cancellations of wedding guests and last minute seating chart changes, Kristen (wedding coordinator)made sure she handled everything. I would give more than stars if i could. It was a night everyone will always remember. It was cold but truly magical! The food was amazing, everything to me was amazing💕💫

We originally planned our wedding ceremony and reception with Planterra for October 2020, but that plan quickly changed when COVID-19 became widespread. Planterra quickly responded to our request to move our date to 2021 and change to just a reception. The planning process was seamless, and I always felt like every effort was made to accommodate our requests. David, Anne, and Kirsten were incredible to work with and kept us on top of our important deadlines. My reception guests RAVED about the decorations, food, and service. Planterra is more expensive than other venues in Michigan, but they handle so much more than just the venue itself - our rentals, florals, catering, and day-of coordination were all taken care of by them. The peace-of-mind and fantastic results were definitely worth the cost.

Having our wedding at Planterra was the best decision we made. My husband and I were planning from Chicago and were nervous about how we'd pull everything off without a planner. Once we found Planterra and realized the team would handle everything from the ground up, we knew this was the place for us. Walking into the venue for the first time truly took my breath away.

David and his team executed our vision in the most effortless way. The team was organized, proactive, communicative and extremely buttoned up with every single detail. As a type-A bride, I had not one worry in the world when working with this team. Our wedding was straight out of a fairytale and I can't tell you the amount compliments I received from guests. Friends said even they were getting tons of questions from THEIR friends on social media asking about this insanely beautiful venue!

If Planterra is a contender on your list, I urge you more to move it straight to number one. I promise, you won't regret it.

Our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and more! Not only is the venue gorgeous, the entire Planterra team was amazing! They are attentive, accommodating and truly focus on what you want for your day. They keep you on schedule and guide you along in the entire wedding planning process, it was such a relief to know I wasn’t missing anything and there wouldn't be anything forgotten! Our day was flawless and we could never thank them enough! They are excellent at what they do and will honestly give you the BEST wedding experience possible!

Start to finish, Planterra took care of *everything* with an incredible level of precision and care. This review could be 10 pages long, I swear. David, Anne, Megan, and Tiffany were all wonderful. David was SO helpful in recommending things to us when we asked questions. "Don't worry about that. Definitely skip that. Absolutely you can do that. WE can make that happen." It was such a relief to have him. It felt like having a wedding planner included! They were very open to all of our ideas and I don't think they ever said "no" to anything. (Not that we had any wild requests). They proposed a schedule for us and handled all of the timing and coordination. Have I mentioned what a RELIEF it was to have someone else handling all of this for us?! Seriously.

Everything was perfect. Even more perfect than I imagined. It looked BEAUTIFUL. We got to have input every step of the way. The floral and linen sample really helped me to envision the day (although again, day-of was above and beyond anything I imagined). The staff is incredibly professional and on top of things; we hired Tiffany as a day-of coordinator instead of just the ceremony, and I can't recommend her enough. I honestly don't know how anyone does this without a day-of coordinator. She made sure everything went perfectly and everyone (including me!) knew where to be when, what was happening next, and kept checking in with me to see if I needed anything (including champagne!) Planterra did all of the setup and takedown, including folding place cards and assembling (and disassembling) a copper sign holder I purchased from Etsy. They gifted us a bottle of champagne in congratulations. They made our signature cocktail perfectly. They were very gracious in working with us to craft a perfect vegan menu, and guests LOVED it. Even my hardcore carnivore friends were – and I quote – "absolutely blown away" by the food.

We honestly didn't even look at other venues. Once we discovered Planterra, we couldn't settle; and I am so glad we didn't. So many guests told me it was the best/prettiest wedding they had ever been to (me too, haha!) Planterra is absolutely full-service and there were so many things we didn't have to worry about because of that. They made sure we ate (something that I've heard is challenging for a bride and groom) and explicitly carved out time for the two of us to enjoy being married before heading out to the party; bringing the two of us hors d'oeuvres and champagne in the back room while we basked in the glow of being newlyweds. When I (not really jokingly) said I wanted a piece of all 3 cake flavors, they wrote it down and made it happen. I came back to my seat at the head table to three slices of cake! And they delivered the late night snack to us, too! They really took great care of us. I know this cliché has been said, but...you *do* get what you pay for. It was absolutely worth every penny. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding and we are SO SO glad we chose Planterra for our venue (but its really so much more than a venue).
