the absolute BEST.

Best decision we ever made was choosing Planterra for our wedding. The venue is beyond gorgeous, and the staff is so unbelievably good at what they do. Best communication. Best designers. Best florists. BEST staff. They even have the best recommended vendors. Everyone absolutely raves about how beautiful the place is - it just gets prettier as the night goes on!! And omg the food is just divine. One of our guests said, "Every time I got a little hungry, more food would appear! And it was all so good!" Seriously - everything was absolutely perfect. Multiple guests told us it was easily the best wedding they've been to. No amount of words could capture how perfect the night was. They are a little pricy - but they are absolutely worth it. They are SO SO SO good at what they do.

The wedding of my dreams

I can easily say that Planterra made my dreams come true. Planning a wedding out of state is already stressful enough that I cannot imagine how people do it without a place like Planterra. Every step of the way, Planterra was just on top of it. They have everything so organized that it made wedding planning probably as stress free as possible. Working with David to create my bouquet and the decor/wedding aesthetic was easy and so much fun. He has an eye that is just unmatched. The rest of the team there is very on top of everything else. I could seriously go on and on for pages on how perfect everything was. Communication was always speedy and detailed. They followed up as needed and double checked everything twice. The day of was pretty seamless with everyone working cohesively and everything was just too perfect to put into words. I am honestly blown away by the staff there. Incredible doesn’t even cover it.

Beautiful venue, incredible service

We originally planned to get married at Planterra in April 2020 (we booked that date in November 2018!!). From all of our initial planning meetings way back in 2019, through all of the postponements, final details, the rehearsal and the day of, the team at Planterra made each step easy with all of their guidance. The conservatory was gorgeous (set up exactly as we imagined!), the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Planning with David was like having a wedding planner, making sure that we were on track and thinking about every detail. The day of coordinator, Tiffany, was also incredible. She paid attention to every detail, kept us running smoothly and on time, and handled all of our minor mishaps. And every one of their vendor recommendations were gems! We planned from out of state, and I don't think it would have been possible without the exceptional service that Planterra provided. I would highly recommend Planterra to anyone getting married in Michigan!

No better place to get married

I can't imagine getting married anywhere besides Planterra! We spent almost two years planning our big day with David and the incredible Planterra team, and our experience was out-of-this-world from start to finish. They always made us feel like a priority and they were able to bring our vision to life in a way that was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The coordinators were SO unbelievably helpful on the big day; it truly felt like nothing could possibly go wrong with them in charge. We had so many guests comment on the top-notch service, the amazing food, and of course, the beauty of the venue. Could not recommend Planterra more highly!

We had an amazinggggg wedding thanks to the whole Planterra team!

From start to finish they were detailed, helpful, and will make your inspiration come to life! They actually exceeded my expectations. David was nothing but amazing! Very detailed, fun, helpful, and will make sure everything looks the way you want it or more. The whole team made sure to take care of everything. With literally last minute cancellations of wedding guests and last minute seating chart changes, Kristen (wedding coordinator)made sure she handled everything. I would give more than stars if i could. It was a night everyone will always remember. It was cold but truly magical! The food was amazing, everything to me was amazing💕💫

The Ultimate Michigan Wedding Venue

A beautiful botanical garden venue that goes above and beyond to give you and your guests the best experience possible.

We originally planned our wedding ceremony and reception with Planterra for October 2020, but that plan quickly changed when COVID-19 became widespread. Planterra quickly responded to our request to move our date to 2021 and change to just a reception. The planning process was seamless, and I always felt like every effort was made to accommodate our requests. David, Anne, and Kirsten were incredible to work with and kept us on top of our important deadlines. My reception guests RAVED about the decorations, food, and service. Planterra is more expensive than other venues in Michigan, but they handle so much more than just the venue itself - our rentals, florals, catering, and day-of coordination were all taken care of by them. The peace-of-mind and fantastic results were definitely worth the cost.

Dream Venue Straight Out Of Fairytale

Having our wedding at Planterra was the best decision we made. My husband and I were planning from Chicago and were nervous about how we'd pull everything off without a planner. Once we found Planterra and realized the team would handle everything from the ground up, we knew this was the place for us. Walking into the venue for the first time truly took my breath away.

David and his team executed our vision in the most effortless way. The team was organized, proactive, communicative and extremely buttoned up with every single detail. As a type-A bride, I had not one worry in the world when working with this team. Our wedding was straight out of a fairytale and I can't tell you the amount compliments I received from guests. Friends said even they were getting tons of questions from THEIR friends on social media asking about this insanely beautiful venue!

If Planterra is a contender on your list, I urge you more to move it straight to number one. I promise, you won't regret it.

A True Dream Come True

My husband and I were blown away by the professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness of every single member of the Planterra team. From the first meeting to the wedding day, they were always there every step of the way to answer any question.

The venue is breathtaking and we had so many guests tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever seen. I still can’t believe how magical they made the whole day. We recommend Planterra to everyone!!!

Our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and more! Not only is the venue gorgeous, the entire Planterra team was amazing! They are attentive, accommodating and truly focus on what you want for your day. They keep you on schedule and guide you along in the entire wedding planning process, it was such a relief to know I wasn’t missing anything and there wouldn't be anything forgotten! Incredible.

Start to finish, Planterra took care of *everything* with an incredible level of precision and care. This review could be 10 pages long, I swear. David, Anne, Megan, and Tiffany were all wonderful. David was SO helpful in recommending things to us when we asked questions. "Don't worry about that. Definitely skip that. Absolutely you can do that. WE can make that happen." It was such a relief to have him. It felt like having a wedding planner included! They were very open to all of our ideas and I don't think they ever said "no" to anything. (Not that we had any wild requests). They proposed a schedule for us and handled all of the timing and coordination. Have I mentioned what a RELIEF it was to have someone else handling all of this for us?! Seriously.

Everything was perfect. Even more perfect than I imagined. It looked BEAUTIFUL. We got to have input every step of the way. The floral and linen sample really helped me to envision the day (although again, day-of was above and beyond anything I imagined). The staff is incredibly professional and on top of things; we hired Tiffany as a day-of coordinator instead of just the ceremony, and I can't recommend her enough. I honestly don't know how anyone does this without a day-of coordinator. She made sure everything went perfectly and everyone (including me!) knew where to be when, what was happening next, and kept checking in with me to see if I needed anything (including champagne!) Planterra did all of the setup and takedown, including folding place cards and assembling (and disassembling) a copper sign holder I purchased from Etsy. They gifted us a bottle of champagne in congratulations. They made our signature cocktail perfectly. They were very gracious in working with us to craft a perfect vegan menu, and guests LOVED it. Even my hardcore carnivore friends were – and I quote – "absolutely blown away" by the food.

We honestly didn't even look at other venues. Once we discovered Planterra, we couldn't settle; and I am so glad we didn't. So many guests told me it was the best/prettiest wedding they had ever been to (me too, haha!) Planterra is absolutely full-service and there were so many things we didn't have to worry about because of that. They made sure we ate (something that I've heard is challenging for a bride and groom) and explicitly carved out time for the two of us to enjoy being married before heading out to the party; bringing the two of us hors d'oeuvres and champagne in the back room while we basked in the glow of being newlyweds. When I (not really jokingly) said I wanted a piece of all 3 cake flavors, they wrote it down and made it happen. I came back to my seat at the head table to three slices of cake! And they delivered the late night snack to us, too! They really took great care of us. I know this cliché has been said, but...you *do* get what you pay for. It was absolutely worth every penny. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding and we are SO SO glad we chose Planterra for our venue (but its really so much more than a venue).

Beyond Amazing Experience!

Everyone and everything at Planterra was absolutely perfect! From start to finish they were beyond helpful in the whole planning process, making sure everything was accommodated for, and made sure we had a night to remember. The staff was very attentive all night long to my husband and I and made our wedding go super smooth with barely any niches that we noticed! All staff was beyond friendly and went above and beyond to make sure all our guests were enjoying the night. If we could get married every weekend, Planterra would be the spot we would have it!

Worth every penny

We seriously had the BEST WEDDING EVER and we could not be happier with how everything turned out! Planterra is phenomenal to work with and made everything so easy for us. It was quite literally my dream wedding brought to life. I have never felt luckier!

Our guests are still ranting and raving on how breathtaking the venue and decor were, how amazing the food and drinks were, and how impressive the service was. We seriously have ZERO complaints.

David, Anne, Megan, Tiffany and the rest of the event staff were all so helpful during planning and took my vision a million steps further than I could have imagined. It was a stress free experience with them.

I am hoping someone I know gets married there in the future so we can come back for an event :)

I love Planterra

I normally only leave reviews if I had a terrible experience but Planterra has exceeded my expectations and I have to make it known. Planterra itself is such a unique venue. Yes, it is expensive but it was worth every penny. My husband and I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana so planning a wedding in Michigan was a challenge. But Planterra made the process less stressful and easy for us. David was amazing. He was very understanding and had great input on ideas. Tiffany is what I like to call an awesome "Ball-Buster" lol. Kirsten is amazing and was very quick on responding to email and texts. Planterra is such beautiful venue. I cannot stress that enough. All my guests were in awe and kept telling me my wedding was the best wedding they've attended. Thank you to the Planterra Team. I can only hope I get invited to another wedding at Planterra!

Five stars, no debate. If I could give more I would.

You get what you pay for, and although Planterra’s prices may seem higher than other places you look at, you really do get top notch service from an amazing team as well as high end food, drinks, decor, and floral arrangements. It feels like an all-inclusive package due to their contracted vendors, which took so much of the coordination and decision making stress off of my shoulders. I wouldn’t have done even one thing differently for our February wedding, and I am constantly getting told by guests that it was the most incredible wedding they’ve ever been to. There is no reason to even look at another venue for a winter wedding; you can have a beautiful garden wedding in the middle of dreary Michigan weather! There was not one time where I thought the staff could have done something differently, they anticipated everything I needed. Not to mention that David basically has wedding planning down to a science and had a solution for every thought or question I had during the planning process. The day of coordinators were all fabulous and made us feel like royalty. We had a sweetheart table behind our intimate guest seating arrangement (long tables as opposed to rounds, very cool) so we got to just sit back for a minute and watch our guests interact and enjoy their time in the candlelight. It was the most magical(yes every other review uses this word— it’s the most accurate) place to have a wedding and if you are within their guest count limits, you MUST check them out.

Perfect in every way!

I could not have been less stressed on our wedding day. The team at Planterra expertly guides you through all of the decisions leading up to the wedding and then executes the day perfectly. If anything unexpected happened on our day, we had no idea. I could not be happier with our choice of venue. This team and this venue is remarkable!

Garden Dream!

We knew when we first met with David and visited the Conservatory that we wanted to have our wedding there.

During the planing process David and Anne were on top of everything and i was stress-free because I knew I was in good hands.

The day of our wedding I was blown away by how beautiful the space looked . . . it was truly stunning! David captured my vision of my wedding perfectly.

The food and service was excellent and our guests raved about the food all evening.

I am so happy we chose Planterra!

Planterra Fairytale

I had my wedding at Planterra on 10/13/18. It a word: INCREDIBLE. From the beginning, planning with David was always simple and organized. We had a slight hiccup that was solved within an hour of realizing it. As for the day of the wedding, it could not have been a better experience. The venue was STUNNING. Every. Single. Detail. From the place settings, to the additional floral accents and candles. I walked in for my early portraits with my girls and immediately started crying. It was absolutely magical. The staff was so attentive and caring. Our coordinator, Tiffany, made sure all of our needs were met. She kept things upbeat when I got nervous and gently guided us through the schedule to keep everything on time. Our VIP server, Mousa, was on top of his game all night. He kept us with fresh drinks in our hands and I never went without anything! He even went as far as to pack up snacks for after the night ended for the groom and I. There were several other things that this venue did to make our night special, but I don’t want to ruin the fun for any couples who choose to have their wedding here! Thank you to David, Megan, Tiffany, Mous and the rest of the staff for easily the most magical and gorgeous night of our lives. We can not recommend Planterra enough. Erika and I used Planterra for our March wedding. When talking about Planterra, you have to start with the venue itself. It is absolutely beautiful. There is nothing else like it in the metro Detroit area. The entire venue changes through the course of your wedding going from a beautiful sunlight day, to sunset, and finally to an amazing star filled night. It is truly awe inspiring. Beyond the venue itself, the staff was also truly fantastic. They were incredibly attentive and yet unobtrusive. Our dedicated server could not have been more on the ball for us. The food was phenomenal. From the filet mignon, to the creme brule, to the coffee bar, our guests were raving. Doing their own floral, it is a floral that is hand-picked for this venue. This includes the venue decorations, the bouquet and boutonnières. The candelabras glowed to make the scene complete. Every guest we had at our wedding said that Planterra is the best venue they have ever seen and we agree wholeheartedly.

Words cannot express how grateful we were to have our wedding at Planterra. From day one it was easy to see that we were working with an experienced and talented group of professionals. Having many of the vendors already contracted with Planterra made planning easy and eliminated a significant amount of stress that I have seen many engaged couples go through. Anne was always prompt in answering my emails and David can take your vision and turn it into something better than you ever could have imagined. We got married at Planterra on June 8th and it was truly the perfect day thanks to the Planterra team. We live out of state so I was worried about the planning process , but David and Anne made it SO easy.

David created the floral and reception design of our DREAMS - seriously it was everything I’ve dreamed of, but didn’t know how to describe. He took the time to get to know Brian and I , understand our style/preferences and absolutely blew us away with how perfectly he designed our day.

The day of the wedding was an absolutely dream and everything went off without a hitch. The staff at the venue was SO hospitable and helpful. Our day of planner Megan was amazing and such a calming prescience. All of our guests are still raving about the venue/the staff hospitality/the food.

Thank you to the entire Planterra team for giving us the wedding of our dreams - we are forever grateful!

Planterra was great in working with us to create our vision. David was extremely helpful in understanding what we were envisioning and did a fantastic job translating that into the décor & flower arrangements. Doubtless: your wedding is one of the most important assignments on which you can choose to partner with anyone in the business, especially the venue. However, when you also bring the assignment in your second half of life -- after 50 -- it takes on new levels of meaning. So much lifetime lived, so many circles to include, thoughts and ideas to reflect. In short: there will be even more going on in the room.

Meeting David, Anne and team was the first step in a dream come true. We connected with David immediately on taste, approach, working style and working with him to bring our vision to life was an absolutely extraordinary experience. It exceeded anything we could have hoped. In addition, we live very busy lives in NYC, and it was seamless working with him from afar. Specifically, their team's ability to organize, guide, prompt and manage our collaboration, all without creating an ounce of stress, were vital. Our wedding was a night of high romance, with elegant touches and details woven everywhere, all suited for a guest list that was truly the mix of a lifetime: family, childhood friends, friends over various decades, close business now dear friends, an ensemble alternative bridal party (8 groomsmen plus a bridal "village" of 18 on my side), our labradoodle, all present.

Their floral, catering, decor -- ALL options -- are of highest caliber.

We honestly think of David, Anne, Tiffany, Kirsten and their entire team as the rarest jewel of the Midwest. We're incredibly proud to have worked with them and over-the-moon thrilled with the outcome and the ripples that continue to radiate from our magical weekend in June 2018. The event lives on for us and for all of our guests. I'm in denial that the journey of working with them has concluded!

I truly cannot say enough great things about Planterra. Their whole team is wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, creative, and incredible. They accounted for every detail of our wedding day - I truthfully didn't have concerns going into the day, as I trusted that they had taken care of everything. Aside from the venue's beauty and uniqueness - what sold me on booking Planterra for our wedding was that they truly take care of so much. I am not someone that had an exact vision of what I wanted out of our day. Planterra helped us create a day that was perfectly "us" - making suggestions, when asked, and guiding us with their incredible eye for beauty and creativity - with the end result of a perfect wedding day. Planterra events team has planned several events for my family...from showers to weddings and big birthday dinners! There is no event, too big or small, that they can’t handle! The staff is incredible to work with making sure every detail is perfect! David, their main event coordinator, is extremely talented and incredible to work with! Always coming up with original ideas, florals and decor that transform any space! If you have an event coming up, I highly recommend considering using Planterra as your venue site. The space is like nothing you can find in Michigan. The event staff is very professional, making sure that everything surpasses your expectations! They can also bring all of their amazing floral and decor to any other site you choose. We worked with David and the event staff for an off-site family wedding. They worked within our budget, and took care of every detail! The floral and design were stunning! They recently did the floral and decor for a big birthday dinner we had at Bacco. When we reached out to David, we asked him to transform the room and David and his team delivered! It was the most incredible table, with every detail coming together beautifully! I can’t say enough about Planterra and their incredible event staff! Thank you for always making our families events so amazing and memorable! I highly recommend them for any event!

My husband and I had a great experience working with Planterra and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone!!! They made the wedding planning process extremely easy and straight forward. Every detail of our big day was perfect and I wouldn't change anything about it. From start to finish it was more than we could have ever imagined! The ambiance, staff and food was wonderful. All of our friends and family are still raving about the whole experience. The food was so amazing we've been told by multiple guests that it was by far the best they've ever had at a wedding. We still can't get over how enchanting everything felt. "MAGICAL!" All of our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about Planterra. From the decorations to the food to the staff, every single detail was absolutely perfect. The staff handles almost everything so our stress levels were down to a minimum, which was great for us! Planterra more than exceeded our already high expectations for our wedding! We had both our ceremony and reception there. Our guests still have not stopped raving about how gorgeous the venue was, how friendly and attentive the staff people were, and how incredible the food was. They made us and all of our guests feel like royalty. Throughout the entire process, from the first tour to our food tasting to our planning meetings, they truly seemed to do their best to make us as happy as possible and give us exactly the wedding we were dreaming of. Planterra took such great care of us and as a bride, I can say that my stress was so minimal because of them. I can honestly look back at our wedding day and say that I would not go back and change a single thing!

The team at Planterra is as incredible as the venue itself. Although they do hundreds of events each year they will make you feel as if you're their only clients. Planterra was the best, most incredible decision we’ve ever made! If you are searching for a space that is truly unique and has a extraordinarily magical feel, look no further! The venue (especially when the sun sets), the food/desserts (guests raved about it), the service (my husband and I were assigned our own server for the night, who made sure we were both fed and hydrated), and the floral were all breathtaking - and the night truly felt ethereal. We live in New York, so we were concerned about planning a wedding from halfway across the country, but David and Anne (and the rest of the Planterra team) truly went above and beyond to capture our vision (of which we were pretty particular about) – which came to life beyond what we expected! They were amazing to work with – an extremely talented, responsive, accommodating and professional duo – and it was so clear that they love doing what they do! Everything ran seamlessly the year leading up to the wedding, as well as on the day-of, because of how organized their planning process was. Every little detail was covered. My husband and I (and both of our families) were floored when we walked in to see the space on our wedding day – it was truly an exquisite, enchanting dream realized! Planterra was an absolute dream to work with, and was the most beautiful wedding we could've ever imagined. We live in Chicago, so working with a full service venue and team was a must. Every single person involved truly made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with. Everything was customized to our taste, decor and style, and seeing everything put together on our wedding day, gave us all the feels. David, truly knows how to take all of your ideas and thoughts (even when you as the bride are unsure), and make your dream come to life. Michelle & Tiffaney were true ROCKSTARS when it came to the day and night of. I don't know what we would've done without them!

As I mentioned from living out of state, working with minimal vendors was a HUGE must for me since I was the main planner in the wedding. Planterra made everything seem seamless and kept me on a timeline of when I needed to have everything done by. The caterer they work with is also exceptional and my guests and friends have raved that our wedding has received not only the prettiest venue award, but also best food award! Also their booze selection is top notch, and its worth picking top shelf booze hands down. Your guests will be very pleased.

The flowers were above and beyond anything I could've imagine. They were an exact replica of the photo I provided to David, I was almost in tears when I saw them. Even when my favorite flower was effected by El Nino, David still made sure we got them in the bridal bouquets!

I cannot say enough incredible things about the Planterra team, and their execution made it the most perfect day for my husband and I. I can't recommend them enough. I constantly rewatch our wedding video over and over, because I still cant believe how beautiful it really was. Thank you to everyone at Planterra for making our wedding day, the best day of our lives!

We held our May 2016 wedding at Planterra Conservatory and it was easily the BEST night of our lives. From the very beginning, it was evident that Anne and David know how to execute an event and working with them could not have been a better experience. The food and cocktails were phenomenal, the service was top-notch, and the floral and event design was jaw-dropping. They are extremely organized and have every base covered. They are also helpful in working with your budget. For example, we wanted more expensive flower choices but to stay within our budget, we altered the design of the centerpieces slightly. You can tell that that they truly want you to be happy and do whatever they can to personalize your event. Our entire wedding day went off seamlessly and their day-of coordination staff eases you along from event to event (cake cutting, dinner, dances, ect.) so that you don't have to think or worry about anything other than enjoying yourself. They assign a server to just the bride and groom and we could not have been more thankful. She was absolutely fabulous and made sure that we were able to eat, always had a cocktail in hand, and were enjoying ourselves. We could not be more thankful for how wonderful everyone was! We held both our ceremony and reception at the Conservatory and our guests still cannot stop raving about how beautiful it was and what a great time they had. It was especially nice to hear that they appreciated the great service. They never had to wait for a cocktail or ask for anything and we had 130+ guests attend. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

Our wedding was AMAZING. We chose a outdoor/antler theme with natural elements (obviously), because my husband is an avid outdoorsman/hunter and I love being outside. Planterra was able to give us a "classy hunting wedding." They listened to our ideas and captured our vision. We had a lot of personal accents that we wanted to include in our décor and they used everything perfectly. Guests were raving about the experience for days following the ceremony and the food was unbelievable. Planterra was wonderful to work with. David and Anne were the primary contacts during the entire planning process. They always responded to emails in a timely manner and they completely removed any stress that comes with planning a wedding. I was honestly not worried about one thing. I am so grateful and thankful for having Planterra host our wedding reception. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any large event.

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at Planterra, and it was the most amazing night ever! First of all, if you're not exactly a hands-on bride, this is the perfect place for you. I was not super into the fine details but I knew I wanted everything to be perfect, and I left David in charge of figuring everything else out. He did such a great job with the whole design of my wedding, and I had so many compliments on how it was the most beautiful wedding people have ever attended. We also got countless compliments on how great the food was, which is something you hardly ever hear at a wedding. The servers and bartenders were so friendly and there every time I needed them. The ceremony coordinator made our rehearsal and ceremony go flawlessly. We couldn't have asked for a better night. Choosing Planterra was the best decision we made!

We had our wedding reception at Planterra in April. It was the best decision we made about the wedding.

First, Planterra is so incredibly beautiful. Before the sun goes down, it's like a classy garden party. But then after the sun goes down, it is just magical. I had multiple guests come up to me and tell me it is the most beautiful venue they had ever been in. Second, Planterra's staff is incredibly professional and responsive. They have EVERY detail covered. Just a couple examples: extra bottled water and champagne left on ice in the bride's room in case you need a break, a waitress assigned the VIPs to make sure you always have a drink and get to try all the appetizers/late night snacks (how many brides do you know that said "I didn't even get to try half of the food?"), having non-alcoholic champagne on hand for the pregnant ladies, and much more. The food was great, the bartenders really knew how to mix a drink, and the service was incredible. Even our band leader remarked that the staff at Planterra was one of the most professional they had worked with and it made their job that much easier! Finally, beyond just being a gorgeous venue, the floral and design elements were out of this world. David took our input at every step of the way but still managed to design something that was beautiful and unique. Planterra does not give you a "cookie cutter" wedding at all. So many design elements like the candles, the set up of the gift table, additional seating near the arbor, even the fire lamps outside were just so cool! When I say they thought of every detail it was literally every detail. It was perfect!

Although Planterra is not cheap, we felt a) it was WELL worth the money, we know people that paid way more for their wedding and got way less value and way more headaches and b) they did not try to "nickel and dime you" the way some vendors do.

One thing my husband and I have said over and over since the wedding is: WE ARE SO LUCKY WE BOOKED PLANTERRA!!

I was not expecting to have a perfect wedding, but Planterra gave me exactly that! I really don't even know where to begin. Our guests walked away from the wedding saying it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. And I credit 100% of that to Planterra.

First, the venue itself is so unique. A greenhouse by day, and a beautiful, garden, fantasy land by night. The floral and decor were incredible. I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted, but somehow they created a color scheme and floral arrangements that fit us perfectly.

The catering services provided were wonderful. Not only was the food ridiculously delicious, but the service staff was incredibly friendly. If I had eaten that meal at someone else's wedding, and was wearing a more forgiving dress, I would have licked my plate clean.

Planterra is fantastic for a hands-off bride. The best part about having a wedding at Planterra is the planning services that come with. Our planner, David, helped us every step of the way, and made several suggestions for us when we didn't know what to do. Planterra also recommended a DJ and photographer, and they were both fantastic! David was incredibly nice throughout the planning process, and created a beautiful wedding with very little help from me! On the flip side, anything extra that I asked for, they made it happen. Whether you want a lot of control over the details, or if you want to a more hands-off approach, Planterra is a perfect venue.

Only had one problem with the Planterra and that is they messed up the seating chart and my flowers, but as for the reception, it was breathtakingly beautiful and I loved working with David. He was great and actually helped me to design my reception. My reception looked like a fairy tale. I would recommend the Planterra, even with the two mishaps, I'd choose them again.

We cannot begin to express how grateful we are and appreciative of David and the rest of the Planterra team for putting together such an amazing day. We especially appreciate all of your patience, dedication, and attention to detail during the planning process. They certainly put this anxiety prone out-of-state couple at ease from the very beginning. David's knowledge is encyclopedic and his creative eye is wonderful. He has an uncanny ability articulate and bring to life exactly what it is you want, sometimes before you know it yourself.

The space is absolutely stunning; we had looked at several other venues before coming across Planterra and we both knew from the moment we walked in that it was our venue. Words simply cannot express how stunning Planterra looked. We loved absolutely everything and our guests couldn't stop raving about how gorgeous and sensational it all was. Everyone has had or knows that guest, that one guest, that can always find something to pick on. Not here. The food, service, and entire evening was simply perfect. First-timers and seasoned wedding veterans alike were left awestruck. We lost track of how many times we heard people tell us how this was "the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen."

There is absolutely no way to go wrong with Planterra, it is the perfect place for one of the best days of your life.

My wedding was such a magical day and I can’t thank the Planterra team enough for making my vision a reality. I’ve been married over a month and I’m still getting phone calls from friends and family telling me what an amazing time they had!

The venue was incredible, the staff was amazing and the whole night was magical. We met to discuss my vision and soon the vision became a reality. Every minute was thoughtfully planned out and I felt totally at ease in their hands.

The staff was courteous, attentive and amazing. Every time I turned around, someone was asking me if I needed anything. What a wonderful night. It was beautiful, perfect and magical and I can’t thank David, Anne, Megan, Tiffany and the rest of the team enough for bringing my vision to life.

Plantera was an amazing venue to work with! Anne and David paid attention to every little detail and worked with our budget. Our budget was small for such a beautiful event. We presented Planterra with our budget and they absolutely worked with us. They gave us so many different options. Our final cost (including photographer, floral, dinner, bar) was about $25,000, however they were willing to work with as low as $10,000 for a ceremony and cocktails/appetizer reception (for about 75-100 guests). The place was beautiful and the food was amazing! Planterra designed a wedding that reflected both (bride's and groom's) taste/style. I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom! This venue is unlike any venue I have been to. If you want a unique wedding pick Planterra! My guests can not stop talking about how awesome the food was, how attentive the staff was, and how beautiful the wedding was.

Our event was to celebrate 150 of our employees that have worked with us for over 30 years. From the very begining David and his team treated us with great respect, fun and sharing great ideas. The team at Planterra did such an incredible job helping us to plan our dream wedding. The day after the only word we could come up with to describe the day was "perfect", and there's no way we could have done it without David and his amazing team. We planned the wedding from out of town and they were so on top of everything -- there's no way I could have been more impressed with their professionalism and dedication to helping us plan our event. They designed the most incredible space and the food was delicious. I cannot even begin to explain how incredible the staff and facility at Planterra truly were. The conservatory is every bit as gorgeous as the photos on their website and we were truly in awe of how well we were treated throughout the entire process. Everyone was friendly, professional, and so very helpful. Throughout the event, they absolutely catered to us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Not to mention, the food was phenomenal. They blew our guests away and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. This venue was worth every penny we spent.

Planterra is truly one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen! But on top of being so beautiful, they have a team that is equally as wonderful. We were fortunate enough to be able to have our bridal shower here and I would continue to recommend it over and over again. David, Michelle and Bonnie were incredible to work with. David has a true vision for flowers and making that space looks impeccable! He was able to make our Garden party come to life better then I could have ever imagined! Michelle and Bonnie through Continental Catering were able to deliver an incredible meal to our guests as well. The service all around made our guests and I feel so special! If you are looking for a gorgeous venus in Michigan there is no where better to go!

Would recommend this venue in a heartbeat! David was so easy to work with, very talented and knowledgeable. Willing to work within our budget. Venue was even more beautiful than we imagined it would be. Flowers and decorations were beautiful! Food was wonderful. Could not have chosen a better place for both my daughter's wedding and reception. Entire staff was wonderful to work with. Did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding as the Planterra staff had everything handled for us.

Our night with Planterra was the most magical night of our lives. If you are looking to feel like a princess and be treated like princess then you have found the right vendor. Planterra made planning my wedding such an easy process. They take care of literally everything for you. No hassle of picking out centerpieces or flowers, because they take your inspirations/ideas/and pictures and create a reality. We showed up to our floral/centerpiece meeting anticipating a day of tough decisions but when we walked in to the meeting our center pieces were sitting in front of us and were EXACTLY what I wanted. We received compliments on this venue ALL NIGHT telling us it was the best wedding they had ever gone to and that it was so magical and romantic. It saddens me to write this review because it means our wedding is already over. However knowing how wonderful the night was, brings a smile back to my face. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU PLANTERRA. My husband and I were more than thrilled by how our wedding played out. Everything was perfect! We have had so many compliments on the venue and the food! We had an amazing experience with Planterra. David worked with us and was, for the most part, our personal event planner. He helped us with the flowers, decor, food and wine, as well as making recommendations for music, hotels and cake. We also had our ceremony at the location and everyone at Planterra did a great job with the setup and rehearsal. There wasn't anything we needed or wanted that he/they didn't provide. All those who worked with us from the owner's (Carol and Shane) to the accounting dept. and coordinators were exceptional. The only critique would be that the food, while delicious, was not as hot as it should have been. I recommend this venue highly.

After a surprise propsal by my boyfriend, I chose Planterra to host my Engagement party. It is a glass greenhouse that I found it to be a beautiful venue with a platform to shape any theme. The choice of food to choose from was abundant - they really catered for every taste bud. The staff were super helpful and really did take control of all our requirements. I felt compelled to write about Planterra because the experience, their staff and venue was unforgettable. I believe that when you experience something exceptionally good or discovered a gem; you should always share it with everyone.

This vendor made my wedding perfect. I didn't need to worry about anything; the staff was attentive, polite, and extremely accommodating. We had children at our wedding and their parents went out of their way to be sure to thank me for how the meals and hall were so child friendly and fun. I work crazy hours and they were able to work with me on times to meet and get everything organized, they also helped with recommendations for the services they were unable to provide.

Planterra was an amazing place to have a wedding! Not only was it a beautiful setting, but they were so helpful and nice. A coordinator is included in order to help your vision become a reality. Planterra coordinates flowers, tables/linens/chairs, layout and special touches. The place looked exactly how I wanted it to look. The only drawback is no A/C, would be better to have your event here during colder months. Overall, only have the warmest, fondest feelings towards Planterra.

If you are looking for the perfect wedding venue look no further. We just had our wedding here last Saturday and people are continuing to tell us what an awesome wedding it was. From the moment you walk into Planterra a sense of calm comes over you with all of the lush greens and khoi ponds. We chose to do a strolling dinner and the food was amazing! Such a variety of healthy choices that people did not feel loaded down after eating. I have to say that Planterra made our dream wedding come true. We could not have found a better location and better people to work with. They can accomodate the ultra elegant as well as those looking for more of a casual party. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It was a great value for your dollar! One last tid bit, I planned my wedding here in 3 months, with the floral being done in house and the professional staff, it was a breeze! I can't say enough good things about Planterra!
