We met before the wedding for ironing my saree plus other clothing items for the day of wedding and also to get an idea of what drape would look best on the wedding day and she did a great job. She was prompt, on time and prior to event gave clear timelines on how long each drape would take. My saree was heavy with intricate work but Chhavi made sure I feel my best walking, sitting and doing all the rituals and she was right. Carrying the saree felt like a breeze. I still feel so grateful and lucky that I chose Chhavi to drape my wedding saree. As a petite bride (I’m 5’0”), I had always been disappointed with how sarees looked on me. Either they made me look much bigger than I am, or they just didn’t drape in a way that felt flattering. As non-Indians, my mom and I were incredibly nervous about our outfits for my Indian wedding ceremony and Sangeet. We wanted to look beautiful, feel confident, and, most importantly, honor my husband's culture and traditions. Knowing how anxious we were, my husband encouraged us to hire a draper. At first, we thought it might be a little over the top, but Chhavi was truly a miracle worker.

Her professionalism, attention to detail, efficiency, incredible sense of style, and, above all, her warmth made such a difference in our getting-ready experience and in how beautiful and confident we felt throughout both events. My mom's saree was pleated and draped to perfection, and she felt absolutely gorgeous (and received so many compliments!). It was wonderful working with Chhavi for my bridal saree draping. She was highly responsive the week leading up to the wedding while we coordinated the drop-off and pick-up for pre-draping. She handled my bridal saree and madisar as well as my mom and sister's Iyer-style madisars. Her draping was deft, and both the saree and madisars stayed completely intact throughout the event. While my sister's madisar unfortunately ended up being draped the incorrect way, Chhavi's overall work was excellent. She brought wonderful energy to the room while we were getting ready, constantly hyping me up and making the experience special. She was the sweetest person to work with, and I would gladly recommend her services and work with her again.

If you are second guessing whether it is worth having Chhavi drape you/your party at your wedding, just do it. She made all of us look totally flawless and paid special attention to the bride. Every pleat and fold was meticulously placed and ironed, and she makes you feel very beautiful by offering encouraging words of affirmation. She is very professional but extremely kind and beyond attentive. She cares so much about making everyone look amazing and feel comfortable. Sarees can be very tricky depending on the material, and having Chhavi there makes you have to worry about one less thing, leaving you to enjoy more of your special day. She is totally worth it and I cannot recommend her enough!

Working with Chhavi was truly one of the best decisions I made for my wedding weekend! She was the very first vendor I booked because I knew I couldn't have anyone but her for my wedding. From pre-pleating my sangeet dupatta to draping sarees for my family, friends, and all of my bridal looks, she absolutely exceeded every expectation.

We were even able to do a special entry dance in our sarees for the ceremony and nothing shifted out of place! We even had needs for some new drapes that she hadn't really done before, like a 6-yards Iyengar Madisar drape and a Brahmani Nauvari 9-yards drape. Chhavi worked with us to practice both the drapes beforehand and did a trial with us to make sure we felt confident on the big day and ultimately she crushed it with both on the day of.

What amazed me most was how fast and calm she was while handling so many people and events across the weekend. She made everything feel effortless. Chhavi saved the day for our destination wedding in Mexico City! One week before our wedding, the local draping artist we had originally planned for our wedding in CDMX dropped out. Luckily, Chhavi was available and extremely responsive at the last minute. My mom had gotten our saris pre-pleated in India without any measurements and, unfortunately, the pleats were not in the correct places. Chhavi painstakingly stayed up until midnight ironing and re-ironing the sari so it could be perfect for our ceremony! Just one of the many details that makes her stand out. She was, by far, one of the best vendors we worked with, with such a personable, charming, and detail-oriented approach to each and every person she draped. She was extremely efficient with sari draping, so even when we were inevitably running behind, she could still find the time to drape all my friends and family. She also curated unique looks for each of my lehengas that held up through car rides and dancing. I never had to worry about anything coming out of place. As a testament to her skill, my aunt decided that she wanted to hire Chhavi for her daughter's wedding as well. Another of aunt's who already has many years of experience draping herself could not resist having her drape her own sari and managed to learn some new tricks. Our wedding would not have run as smoothly without Chhavi's help. From fixing our accessories to adjusting every detail of my outfits, I have to admire Chhavi's precision and perfection.
