Peony Effect was the glue that held our wedding together! We are beyond satisfied with the service we received. My now husband and I are creative and particular (ahem, difficult) people. We planned a wedding with originality and intricate details peppered throughout the night. Shay and her team made sure our venue and vendors were aware and accountable of all our specific requests.

When it was wedding day, Shay and her team were everywhere, running the show. We can’t recommend them enough. We only got the month-of coordination package, but I wish we had researched all the packages available because we would’ve liked to use her planning services even more.

Most notably, before Shay went live with her business, I couldn't have my wedding without Shay planning it, truly the ONLY other person I could trust for all details. I plan for and respond to community disasters as a profession, so for me to trust anyone just isn't easy but I knew I could trust Shay to execute a wedding day I could enjoy without a worry, and that's exactly how it went. Shay got my husband and I our wedding venue deposit back (THOUSANDS of dollars) when COVID hit, when so many other couples we knew lost theirs. She helped us negotiate for our second venue and ensured we planned for the worst (COVID outbreak, precautions). She made sure we didn't book without a sure way this wedding would happen, rain or shine! Guess what, it rained on our wedding day Nov. 7, 2020 in Murrieta, CA a day with historic weather within the 90s. Thankfully, Shay helped us plan for the worst and executed plan B seamlessly and my husband and I had the wedding of our dreams. This meant the most to me, because of the lengths we went through to have an outdoor wedding, I didn't want to have to cancel the wedding with the mandate of no indoor gatherings if it rained. Long story short, my husband and I weren't asked a single question about planning, we drank, ate and danced until the very end, and Shay managed EVERYTHING. No wedding is perfect, I repeat, something will go not according to plan, so you want to make sure it's handled by a professional, and you don't want to be bothered on your special day with questions from vendors and family about planning details! Shay had great ideas when we needed inspiration for our overall vision, she managed all communications with vendors and payment, she managed day of agenda with inevitable delays (our priest was 30 min late due to weather), and ensured setup and breakdown were complete so that we didn't incur additional fees from our vendors, she managed our wedding website and communications with family when the reception shifted gears because of the rain, and she managed our dream wedding within our budget. Shay honestly planned a wedding during the worst time (pandemic and unexpected weather), I don't think there will be a scenario she hasn't accounted for, which is why I recommend her services over and over. Other events Shay has planned for me: SURPRISE Bachelorette (had ZERO clue, my goodness), my daughter's welcome party (newborn - we decided to have her baby shower after her birth, so she could attend lol), and my wedding rehearsal at a separate venue.

I don’t know what to say about Shay short of her style is perfection! She planned my 10 year salon anniversary party with ease. I told her what my budget was, my theme which was Vegas, and she did everything I could’ve ever wanted! We had Vegas girls 😆, hired professional, blackjack and craps dealers. We had a 360 met gala type slow motion videographer booth. We had a Halo photo booth station. The Vegas girls handed fake money to my 140 guests just to give the excitement of exchanging $1000 cash to the dealer for chips It was just an extremely fun event! It’s a night I can not, and will not forget! It’s been three years and on a regular I am reminded that it was the best party anyone has ever attended! When such an important event occurs, it is natural for any individual to be filled with anxiety and stress, but she has a way of removing all fears and handling everything! I will be re-booking her for my 15 year anniversary, wedding, and my parents 50th anniversary! She is amazing and just the best!

I had the pleasure of using this event planning service for a Harry Potter themed bachelorette party in Nashville, Tennessee, and couldn't have been happier with the results.
