We found Patticakes on the recommendation of the caterer for our wedding, and we were very happy to have found Doug, who created a beautiful cake for us. We wanted something simple but elegant, and he listened to us and provided some design ideas for us to consider. The result was just what we wanted - an elegant modern cake with some beautiful fresh flowers. And the cake was delicious too! We would highly recommend Patticakes - Doug is a true artist who wants to create the cake of your dreams!

My husband and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Patti and her team for our wedding. Patti and Doug were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. Patti met with us numerous times to ensure she saw the vision we had for our wedding. Once we gave Patti some ideas, she ran with it and the end result was simply spectacular. From the taste of the cupcakes to the set up, it was top shelf. She was right on point with our vision. Patti went above and beyond the call of duty!! She was extremely helpful to ensure we did not go over our budget. She truly cared about us and she was a big part of our wedding day. Patti was always one phone call away if we had additional ideas or changes that needed to be made. Just by speaking with her you can tell she has a great creative vision and you know you're in good hands. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely and creative the cupcakes and candy table were. Her cupcakes are by far the best we have ever tasted. In fact, we drive 30 minutes from our house at times just to pick some up. Since our wedding, Patti has provided cupcakes and gourmet cakes for my husband's birthday, my baby shower, and my surprise birthday party. Most importantly, Patti made sure we were taken care of like a part of their family. We have already recommended Patticakes to our friends and family. I know that my husband and I will use them for all of our events in the future.

Made a fantastic wedding cake and awesome mini cupcakes. She thinks outside the box and creates something unique for your occasion.

All I need to say, is TRY THEIR CUPCAKES!!! You will NOT be disappointed. And their cakes are just as yummy, but bigger :) We hired Doug for our groom's cake and wedding cake and he was so great to work with. I showed him pictures for inspiration and he captured everything I loved about each of the pictures and made it all work cohesively into one cake. The best thing about Patticakes is that everything tastes just as great as it looks.. you don't have to sacrifice flavor for a good looking cake! Go in for cupcakes, and while you're there, check out their photo books. They also have a facebook page where Doug's wife Patti posts pictures of all his work.

Doug and his wife were such a pleasure to work with! They catered to our Camp Inspired Wedding w S'Mores cupcakes and my husband worked w Doug on a surprise cake topper for me to go with the theme. I was truly amazed at the work!! The Cupcakes and Cake were equally delicious!

We had a delicious cake from Patticakes for our May 24th 2014 wedding at the Towers. I would recommend them to anyone.

Every occasional cake was very good in taste but the staff is rude and did not even tell you in how much advance you need to notify them for a cake order. I guess they are specially designed for wedding cakes because they never take orders for 2-3 days prior, such in the case of birthday cake orders.
I would suggest them to take 1/2 prior day orders as well in a good manner as that will enhance their market in RI.

Do NOT get a cake from Patti Cakes. Or should I say, do not try to get a cake from here, because they are scammers and won't actually make you a cake. I had sent multiple emails back and forth with Doug from Patti Cakes about six months ago. We put a deposit down for a custom wedding cake. We should've known at this point to stay away, but we were impressed with his photos and reviews. However, multiple emails that we sent were returned to us with a message that the email account didn't exist. And he was incredibly hard to get to answer his phone.
Now that our wedding is a few months away and we want to finalize details, we decided to stop by his shop to taste, go over the plans, etc. The store looks like it's closed with nothing in the display cases and a very unfriendly guy was sitting behind the counter. We mentioned that we have a wedding cake booked and his immediate response was "that can't be. We don't have any cakes booked." After showing him the email chains and the cake receipt he told us to leave and he'd have to investigate later. He claimed to not be Doug, the owner, even though his picture is on the website as Doug and in other internet articles. He would not answer our phone calls and immediately drove away in his mini van right after we left.
He did respond to us by email saying that if we send him all of our credit card details by email he'll refund us the deposit bc he can't do the cake. Hopefully he won't scam us for more if we do that.
So now three months before our wedding we have to come up with alternative plans. But on the bright side at least we stopped by to talk to him now rather than one month out.
