From the start, Rob was incredible to work with—he was not only communicative and organized but also full of creative ideas that helped shape our menu and overall experience. We opted for a family-style meal, and it was a huge hit with our guests!

The food was outstanding; many of our guests told us it was the best they’d ever had at a wedding. The service was just as exceptional—from the cocktail hour to the dinner and bar, everything ran smoothly and felt effortless. We are so happy we booked with Rob at PacConn for our wedding! Everything was amazing - the food, the service, the staff, the timing. We loved working with him and his team! We got so many compliments from our guests about the food too, all the items were a hit.

Rob is super personable and had some great advice about what food to select, where to position everything, and how to make everything operate as smoothly as possible. He let us know to anticipate that things would change up to the wedding date, and he was right. Luckily, he and his team are super-duper prepared and took everything in stride.

One of the things that I really appreciated was that Pacific Connection was very mindful about various dietary restrictions that we had at our wedding. The chef made two guests’ meals nut-free due to major allergies and they helped us craft a mostly pescatarian menu, as both the groom and I are pescatarian.

I think that special touches really set Pacific Connection apart from other catering companies. For example, we had an intimate tasting with my fiance’s parents to decide on the final menu. It was one of the best parts about prepping for the wedding! Rob and his wife walked us through the menu and we could make changes as we went. The day of the wedding, Pacific Connection staff had a platter of hor d’oeuvres ready for the groom and I once we were FINALLY done with pictures. Shout out to the falafel sliders! The dinner to follow tasted delicious and was perfectly timed—we loved how well the family style worked. All of the servers were so nice, attentive, flexible, and professional.

In sum, I cannot recommend Pacific Connection Catering enough!!

We had a dream wedding because of Pacific Connections!! First of all, Rob and his wife Chef Donna are such good people, we hit it off from our first meeting. They are incredibly professional and their food is amazing. We definitely felt that we were in good hands. All of our guests raved about our food both during and after our event. Rob also gave us lots of insights that contributed to our timeline and reduced my stress levels greatly. On the day, their team and their service skills went above and beyond, even fluffed my dress while I was waiting to make my entrance and kept me company so I wouldnt be so nervous. We couldnt have picked a better caterer for our wedding! Highly recommended!!!

Pacific connection review

From the beginning, Rob was amazing to work with. He is super responsive via email. Even if he is waiting for information to get you an answer, he will reply letting you know he got your email and will get back to you. We had an email chain of well over 100 emails and he was so thorough and helpful. I had to push my wedding out a year due to covid and he was super understanding and changed the date with no issues.

I asked him so many questions about etiquette, counts for drinks, the floor plan, rentals and more. He always answered very clearly and thoroughly. He was very patient and never made me feel like I was bothering him. He was definitely the most organized out of all of my vendors. He even helped me with the timeline and gave great guidance. Rob also met me on-site for my first venue walk through and was great at giving suggestions for the floor plan.

I love that he didn’t try to upsell me a bunch of stuff. He even ordered all of our rentals through the rental company and didn’t upcharge us at all. He said he just wants to make sure everything is correct and perfect so he doesn’t mind taking care of the rentals.

The food at the tasting and reception was out of this world good. They have an extensive menu and it was so hard to choose just a few options. We ended up doing a family style menu so my guests got to taste everything. All night guests kept coming up to me and telling me how good the food was. Some of the items they raved about were the tri tip Asado, mashed potatoes, chicken and waffles, ahi tuna cone, and the salad with the pickled onions. The staff were super professional and friendly too.

We loved working with Rob and his team. From the start, Rob was very involved and helped us not only with figuring out the catering, he also helped provide some tips on our day-of wedding schedule. We chose Pacific Connection not only for the delicious food, but also for the professionalism and how easy it was to work with Rob's team. Rob was there with us for a walkthrough of the venue before our wedding, which really showed his commitment to making sure everything would run smoothly. His staff were also amazing – they kept our drinks refilled and were hospitable the entire time. Would definitely recommend Pacific Connection!

We loved working with Rob and his team on the catering for our wedding! From the first time we reached out, Rob shared his endless knowledge of the industry and was quick and easy to communicate with. Rob went above and beyond to make our wedding special, helping us think through all the details and even double checking everything at the venue. What an amazing catering team! First of all, Rob and Donna are an absolute power couple. Rob runs the business side and Donna is the chef. As an engaged couple, it was an inspiration to see how well these two worked together.

Rob has a keen eye for detail, is incredibly organized, and was very quick to respond to all of our emails and phone calls. Early on in our wedding planning, we didn’t have a planner. We got married at The Secret Gardens at Bodega Bay, and luckily for us, Rob and his team have worked at the venue dozens of times. He knew the layout and flow of the venue and had a lot of great suggestions for how to set everything up. We did a walk through of the venue with Rob and he helped us plan where our welcome table, sweets table, photo booth, sweetheart table etc. would go. He even went as far as printing out a sketch of the venue with all of the table placements we discussed to help with our planning.

The food is AMAZING! Donna is a fantastic chef. There are only a few things people remember at a wedding and the food definitely tops the list. Pacific Connections was the first caterer we met with, and after the first food tasting we didn’t even bother scheduling any others — we knew we had to have them at our wedding!

We chose to do family style over buffet to avoid people having to get up from their seats. Rob and his team were able to serve a flight to the entire room of 125 people in under 3 minutes. We were very impressed with the speed, accuracy, and timing of the food. We had three separate flights and each flight was evenly spaced so people weren’t waiting around hungry or getting too much food placed in front of them.

Overall, we had an amazing experience with the Pacific Connections team. They helped make our wedding memorable, and we received a lot of compliments on the food (from meat eaters, vegans, and children). We would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a catering team.

Yeah, that was my (now) wife and I until we met Rob, Donna, and the rest of their team. Going into our initial meeting/tasting we thought it would be a waste of time because we were already pretty set on another caterer. When we left the meeting there was an awkward silence in the car for a few minutes as we both knew that we had to break it off with the other caterer because we were just so blown away by everyone at Pacific Connection Catering.

I will go into detail but if you're reading this and planning your wedding then we both know that your time is short, you're probably stressing, and I will give you some newlywed advice for those on their journey: Stop your search and book an appointment with Rob, you won't be sorry. The top reason I recommend Pacific Connection Catering is very simple. During and even after the wedding, people RAVED about how good the food and service was, my wife and I could not be happier with Rob & Co. This alone should be reason enough for you to go with them but if you want more details and somehow have the time, then read on...

Initial Tasting - Incredible!!! The sample dishes that Donna made for us (especially the chicken and waffles on a stick appetizer, BE SURE YOU TRY THIS) were all absolutely terrific. During the tasting some of the staff was there cleaning up from the previous night's event and you could see how well they interacted with each other and Rob, it was like they were a family.

Communication - Very prompt in replying to email answering all of our questions, very on top of things and gave great advice on how to set up our venue.

Vendor walkthrough 30 days prior to wedding - Stellar, due to a scheduling conflict Rob really went out of his way to meet with us, our coordinator, and the vendor manager on his day off. He asked so many questions and covered so many things and made sure the other vendors were on board with the timing and execution of their plan. He's done this before and has great suggestions on how to run the ceremony and help manage time, things that we never thought or even heard of he was a great advocate for us.

Rentals - I heard that some people planning their wedding order rentals themselves (e.g. premium table cloth, premium chairs, upgraded utensils, etc.), Pacific Connection made it very easy for us. They gave us the website for the rental companies they work with, asked us for the specific items we wanted, then rented it themselves so they coordinate the delivery and return, just another thing they did that was above and beyond that made our planning a little easier.

Wedding Day - I showed up at the venue for our first look and saw Pacific Connection setting up shop ready to run the show and I couldn't be more excited to see them in action. The crew served our guests homemade ice tea and lemonade as they arrived off the shuttles, it was seriously high-end white glove treatment, it makes me wish I could have been a guest at my own wedding. Once the ceremony was over, my wife and I hid away while people went to the cocktail reception for beverages and passed appetizers, we could see them from a distance and everyone was having a really good time and loving the food. It doesn't get any better than that. During the reception the food was just as good as when we had our initial tasting, absolutely fantastic. The pasta, salad, chicken, steak, and desserts were all homeruns. People loved it and we were so happy for our guests that they were being taken care of by the staff.

I would like to thank Rob, Donna, and everyone for their efforts to help make our wedding the amazing day that it was. They were such a delight to work with and I recommend them for catering your wedding (or event).

Can’t say enough nice things about Rob and team at Pacific Connection. He has a level of professionalism and quality that is unparalleled at the value. The food was not only delicious, but beautifully prepared (people were snapping pictures for Instagram!). I love that Pacific Connection prioritizes Sustainable Local and Organic sourced food. They do not nickel and dime you- as some wedding caterers tend to do. When the wedding planning portion was nearing an end, Rob had taken such good care of us that he felt like family!
