One of the most important things for my husband and I was to have awesome music for our wedding reception. Jay did not disappoint. We have had so many guests telling us that our wedding DJ was the best they've ever heard. Jay created a perfect atmosphere for our guests to dance the night away. His knowledge of music is unparalleled. The communication was flawless throughout the entire process and he spent the time with us to make sure he delivered exactly what we wanted. Out of all of our vendors, his dedication was exceptional. Jay was always prompt with responses and happy to answer any questions or make adjustments (even last minute). Our wedding was during a Nor'easter, and Jay did not hesitate about showing up and making sure we had the best night of our lives. We cannot recommend him enough

We contacted Jay only 2-3 months before our wedding date, and he made the process feel like a personalized experience. Between using the App to select music for every segment of the evening, and every Online call to discuss the progress. Jay made sure to always listen to us, and make himself available to answer any and all questions. And he without question delivered a performance that I don't believe we could've received anywhere else. And the extra assurance by having two DJs onsite made us all the more calm going into the wedding. Also despite doing an outdoor ceremony, in March, in your 40 degree weather, on a windy day, just off the water. Jay was prepared flawlessly for it all, and we can't thank Jay and his team enough.
It's currently 2 weeks after the wedding and my friends and coworkers are still telling me how much they loved DJ Jay Murch. And they want us to renew our vows annually, so they can party with Jay again.
Also I definitely recommend getting the uplighting if your venue allows it. Let's everybody on the dance floor and the tables feel apart of the party.

We cannot recommend Jay & his team highly enough! We used OTBfx for our wedding, and they totally delivered - stuck with the timeline, rolled with the punches, great attitudes, jumped in on the conga line, excellent and detailed event prep as well!

For the longer version- our wedding was over two weeks ago, and our guests honestly are still raving about Jay- the fun they had at the wedding is always followed up with the question- where did you find your DJ! Starting from our initial zoom call, my husband and I felt so comfortable with him, it was an easy choice to confirm him as our DJ and MC. He was so positive and genuine, it was a joy to talk through our playlist ideas. The way he organized everything including adding songs/timing on his app- the detailed run-down not only made my type-A heart happy- was also incredibly helpful with the planning later on. At our finalization call prior to the wedding, I confessed my stress levels and he was so helpful is ironing out all the little questions- it was such a therapeutic call.

Most importantly to the day of- Jay was there for every step of the process. He coordinated with both my officiant and singer (who were not wedding professionals, but our friends) and made sure they were set-up on mics and ready to go. We mentioned our funny engagement story on one of our calls and he retold it beautifully before our first dance. He got our bridesmaids/groomsmen hyped and even had them do a fun short dance for their entrance. Also, so important to us, he took all the cultural things we were really excited to incorporate and truly went above and beyond! Jay jumped in and lead the Hora dance (and made it so fun even for families/friends who didn’t know it!) He even himself found sturdy chairs somewhere in the venue for my husband & I to be lifted on! (Our standard chairs were foldable, which could have led to a massive blooper reel!) He was also such a good sport when I wanted to get behind the DJ set for some fake turntable moves, in fact he gave me the headphones and let me hit a switch for a song mashup, and I had such a blast. Jay’s additional song selections were spot on- we loved them!! There was not a moment when the dance floor wasn’t filled! In fact, everyone my husband and I stepped away to get a drink or speak to someone, we immediately wanted to rush back to the dance floor as he played one hit after another that perfectly matched our vibes.

I was hoping Jay would be as cool & kind in person as he was on the video calls and he was truly all that and SO MUCH MORE! Have to emphasize in caps- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you want to have an amazing time at your wedding you must hire Jay. From his pre-event meetings to his professionalism on the day, you can tell that Jay is fully dedicated to making your wedding a blast. His music choices, which are fully guided by you, are awesome and will have everyone from your teenage nieces to your grandparents up and dancing and having a good time. We were able to add songs at any time to our wedding playlist using an app, and Jay helped us solidify our timeline and worked with all of our other vendors to keep our schedule on track. His audio setup was awesome and we had a complex event; we had an outdoor wedding in a windy field with 200 people and everyone could hear the music and our officiant. He had a separate setup for our cocktail hour and another one for our reception and not a single issue with the music or the microphones for speeches. We had many guests tell us how awesome our DJ was and the dance floor was filled until the very end of the wedding.

Jay was such a joy to work with. He remained consistently communicative throughout the planning stages, and made the song selection/timeline process a breeze for us. He listened patiently and adjusted seamlessly to all our requests and minor changes. We provided a list of songs that captured the vibe we were going for, and he used that as a springboard to fill out the rest of the ceremony and reception superbly with a variety of great music. Some of our guests claimed they never danced that much at a wedding before! On the Beat FX also provided us with a photo booth, and the guests had such a blast taking fun photos all night long. Jay and Jordan made a great “day of” team, and were so accommodating with some of the last minute additions and asks we made. We both had such a great time on the dance floor!

Jay was nothing short of amazing! As soon as we had a meeting with him, we knew he was the one for us. He made sure everything is streamlined and painless. He's also a very kind and approachable. On our wedding day, he performed flawlessly and I saw all of my guest had such a great time on the dancefloor. Me and my wife had very little to worry about and jay made sure he took on the burden of MC and music off our shoulders. Check out his Mo-town jam!

On the Beat FX was amazing from start to finish- from their user friendly custom app, planning meetings with Jay and awesome, non stop fun at our wedding!

The DJ worked us from day one on the theme of our wedding and reception. Routine followup meetings to verify details and possible music selections and mixes. Months before worked on scheduling of events, music timing and additions of various personal touches like our love story. We used his app to adjust or add music at our pleasure which he added into the mix. By the day of the event the DJ had a pretty good idea of why we needed and what the guest wanted to party to. All in all, the guest spent the entire night dancing and enjoying themselves. They wanted the party to continue beyond the alloted event time.

I cannot speak highly enough about Jay and the team at On The Beat Fx. Leading up to the wedding, Jay was extremely receptive to everything my wife and I wanted, and made awesome suggestions and decisions on things we weren't sure on. Jay is an incredibly personable and super nice guy. He made us feel supremely comfortable going into the week of the wedding.
What Jay and his team did the day of the wedding was nothing short of incredible. I've never been to a wedding where guests were willingly leaving their food on the table to instead go dance, but it happened at mine. Everyone was tapping their feet throughout dinner and crowded the dance floor as soon as they were finished. Songs flowed flawlessly from one into the other and there were absolutely zero breaks in the action. The one and only regret I have is that we weren't able to extend our time at the venue to keep the party going with Jay and his team at the helm.
We could not be happier with our choice to have Jay and his team DJ our wedding and I will be recommending him to everyone for all occasions.
