Where to begin with probably the most glorious experience of my life? From the very beginning when my husband and I were scouting locations, OVIS went above and beyond; unlike other high-end spots we looked at, OVIS retained an atmosphere that was fun and personable and not remotely snobby. We're a gay couple, and at the end of our first meeting, the bakery prepared matching cupcakes with tuxedos on them -- it was a classy gesture making it clear that we would be welcome, and indeed we were. First Sunni and then Lisette consistently provided conscientious, personalized care; they expertly shepherded us through the many stages of putting this together, connecting us with other stupendous vendors, and going the extra mile whenever needed.

I'll give some specifics: First, they upgraded our room, and we stayed in the most astounding suite I've ever set foot in, with fireplaces, 180 degree views and a fridge packed with goodies (even almond milk, since they remembered that I'm lactose intolerant -- how amazing is that?). We're foodies, so we wanted our menu to be something personal. We came up with the idea of a New Orleans style buffet. Would OVIS be able to work with an unusual request like that? The answer: YES. Their world-class chef worked up a menu demonstrating a deep understanding of the cuisine, balancing options for the more and less adventurous, and when we replied with notes, he ran with them. I can't tell you how many comments I've received from guests about this being the best wedding meal they've ever had (seven words: chocolate bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce). Most important of all, Sunni and Lisette helped us discover how to articulate our vision for our special day, helping us help them, culminating in an unforgettable night that defied the adage that every wedding has to be beset by drama.

You cannot do better than this. We can't thank them enough.

Our wedding and reception was held at the Herb Garden at the Ojai Valley Inn Herb Garden, which is an incredibly beautiful location. The catering staff, led by Sarah Pugh, were terrific and gave us a number of great suggestions. The food and service were also excellent. Out whole experience at the Inn couldn't have been better and we highly recommend it as a location for your wedding.

You guys made our dream wedding come true. Everyone at the resort was so accommodating and professional. Every detail that I wanted was put into motion. My father said if he had another daughter he would insist she get married there. You definitely get what you pay for.....first class all the way! Nothing but great things to say about this venue.

This venue is outstanding. It provides the casual charm of a classic California venue while retaining its rightful place as a top-of-the-line resort. In planning and holding our wedding, Ojai Valley Inn demonstrated consistent excellence in all aspects expected of a hosting venue, particularly their flexibility and easy manner in working with us, our wedding planner and our other vendors. They treated all of us as if we were the most important event and the most important people at the Inn. We highly recommend Ojai Valley Inn and Spa for any important occasion, or just for incredibly comfortably rest and relaxation.

After a little hiccup during the wedding planning process (they had a corporate event that they had booked years in advance and didn't know about it when they accepted and booked my wedding for the same ballroom).......they ended up being wonderful to work with. Jennifer there was very responsive to us and really worked hard to make it a perfect day. The venue is gorgeous. And the staff there is very professional and from what I saw, I was very happy with our wedding day. We got so many compliments from our wedding and we had a great time. I wish it didn't cost as much but that's what you pay for from the OVI, you see why you're paying the prices you are paying and the hotel is just beautiful. Perfect setting and really, worth the cost if you're looking for a hotel wedding that doesn't feel like one. I loved all the greenery and how we were able to take pictures all around the hotel property. Our guests enjoyed their rooms and the pools as well.

The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa cannot be beat when it comes to beauty, professionalism, responsiveness, customer service, etc. Everything they could do right, they did right - the absolute attention to detail was amazing. My guests are still raving about it and my husband and I couldn't wait to go back at our first anniversary (where again - the personal touches astounded me.) Of couse, you pay for that kind of service - though because they took care of the ceremony and reception sites including rentals, the catering and my wedding cake, we could somewhat justify their very high costs. However, we went cheap on everything else and I don't regret it for a minute - I truly believe I couldn't have found a more beautiful and relaxing place to get married.

The venue is AMAZING! The staff apart from their wedding planner were also great!
