If you’re looking for a low budget, old school, in-your-face videography team with big, obnoxious camera lights, we’re afraid you’ve come to the wrong place.

What makes us different is that we don’t consider ourselves “videographers,” but instead, “cinematographers.”

So what IS the difference? A videographer typically tends to use gear like camcorders that produce an inferior image quality, while not fully taking advantage of new technology. What you essentially end up with is a video with the quality akin to something bad and cheesy from the 80s. And trust us, this is a stigma we fight EVERY day.

Cinematographers, on the other hand, focus on creating a cinematic “film,” as opposed to a lackluster video that you probably won’t want to watch more than once. In fact, the equipment we use today is the same cutting edge equipment that the top photographers use for their high-end images. Our goal is to create a film that you will want to watch over and over, using many of the techniques that are currently being used in big budget Hollywood productions.

So you may be thinking to yourself, “That’s all well and good, John and Will, but what makes you guys so special?”

We have both put our time and passion into learning the craft of filmmaking through not only our education, but through our work as well. Both of us have had the privilege of working for a high-end studio in which our quality standards had been established very early on in our careers. We have also learned very early on that in order to separate ourselves from the rest, we had to be dedicated to re-inventing ourselves, a value of which we are committed to uphold every single day. Our time at said studio was truly invaluable, but unfortunately our values differed to a certain degree, so our only option was to open our own studio and make ourselves responsible for bringing something original and fresh to the scene through our own vision.

So what, then, do you get from us? A couple of filmmakers who truly love what they do and want to make a difference in how “video” is perceived, one client at a time. In fact, the term “client” to us feels unfitting, as we are more interested in developing real relationships with those who put their trust in us.
