So after deciding on the wedding dress I wanted, I was told it could easily be made strapless and I purchased the dress. 4 months later I made an appointment with Irina Sigal as recommended by Laura, who was lovely, and they said in fact this cannot be made strapless. I had a month til the wedding and had no idea this entire time the dress was hanging at the bellevue. I discussed my worry and concern with Laura at the store and within a day she had a plan. She sent them the dress I ordered which I loved the bottom of and ordered the strapless version and had them combine the two and then used the other dress made out of the other halves for a storeroom dress. It took a lot of fittings, but she owned up to the fact that it shouldn't have been promised and made it happen.
