Tim was amazing to work with. His communication was great and he was super flexible with our requests. The lighting he provided was wonderful as well. Our guests could not get off the dance floor!

Tim and DJ Ricky were incredible to work with for our wedding reception! Our guests could not given DJ Ricky better reviews. Our guests never left the dance floor, and we closed down the party. Tim was communicative throughout the whole process, and it was great to not have to worry about anything that day--we knew it would be perfect, and it was! We highly recommend working with Music in Motion for your event or wedding!

The whole process with MIM was easy from beginning to end! The boss, Tim, was an excellent communicator and easy to get in contact with. He sent us regular check-in emails and was always prompt and professional in response to our questions.

Rick, aka DJ Superman, was our assigned DJ. He scheduled a time to meet us ahead of our wedding, which was great because then it didn’t feel like we were strangers on the day. We had great conversation and spent time going over the plan and our playlist. We really appreciated Rick’s attention to detail and making sure he knew what kind of vibe we wanted for the dance floor.

On wedding day, Rick showed up and immediately brought the good vibes! He was hyping us up before cocktail hour even began and getting us excited for the night ahead. Cocktail hour music was a perfect rom-com vibe. We had a “Top Gun” themed grand entrance, he nailed the music loop and getting the room hyped up for us to walk in. Throughout the rest of the night, he did an awesome job getting the crowd out on the dance floor and participating! He walked around with the microphone getting people to sing along, urged people to get out there, and even made an impromptu karaoke performance for me and my husband to “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”.

Overall we were extremely happy with the service Rick (and by extension, Tim) provided. He went above and beyond to make our night epic and many people commented that our wedding was one of the best they’d ever been to. Rick even took some candid photos and videos that captured our night and shared the with us. 10/10 would recommend!

Tim Hicks, at DJMIM, was an abosulte pleasure to work. All planning communication was friendly and promt. The wedding day was flawless. Tim was able to work our personal musician's equipment into his setup for the best experience. He made everything we had imagined come true and more. Including some impromptu changes. So many of our guests said our music selection was the best they had ever heard at a wedding. We provided some of the songs, but Tim made sure everying flowed together and kept the party going. We cannot say enough nice things about Tim and DJMIM. His services were reasonably priced and far exceeded any expectations we had going into the big day. We will gladly recommend this service to anyone looking for a top notch dj. Thank you for everything!

We hired Music in Motion for our wedding this past Saturday, and let me start my saying Tim Hicks was the best possible DJ we could’ve hoped for. He truly helped our dream wedding come to fruition!

Tim has been very communicative and organized through this whole process. Music in Motion offers an online portal that allows you to listen to and select songs through the portal. We were able to select our specialty songs for both ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We could also share our wedding timeline and add must play/play if possible/do not play songs for the dance floor. We were even able to send him our special cut of “At Last” for our first dance.

During the wedding day itself, he was timely with set up, helped keep us on schedule through the entrance and speeches, and incredibly lively and engaging with our guests! He used the playlist and vibe we wanted for our open dance floor, and then curated it further to keep our dance floor full, energetic and bumping all night!

We also opted for the digital Photo Booth add on, and it was a massive hit with our guests! My new husband and I have been having a blast going back through all of the photos our guests took.

Tim was the DJ for our anniversary party and he definitely helped make a Great night. He played almost every song on our list and at the right times to keep the party going. He didn't talk a lot just kept playing the music. The dance floor always had people dancing. He was always available during the planning stage and responded almost immediately every time I emailed him. My family and I are trying to come up with another party to host just because we had so much fun. I would highly recommend Music in Motion for any event.

Our DJ, Riley, went above and beyond for our special day! Tim was also incredibly responsive and accommodating. Our guests have reached out saying how the playlist was on point, the song transitions were stellar and Riley was so much fun to be around! He kept the energy going and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. Getting everything set up was seamless as well which is a HUGE plus! 10/10 would recommend to anyone in search of a DJ! Ask for Riley!

We hired Tim as our wedding DJ and truly couldn’t have asked for anything better! From the very beginning, he was the most responsive vendor we worked with. He checked in regularly before the big day, communicated clearly, and made the whole process feel so easy. Oh, and he is seriously the most friendly human!
He worked seamlessly with our day-of coordinator, and when the wedding day arrived, everything was smooth sailing. You can tell he has this down to a science; in the best way possible!! The music, the transitions, the energy… all flawless.
We had so many guests come up to us saying it was the best DJ/music they’ve ever experienced at a wedding. That says everything! And I’m so happy we went with the uplighting—seriously, it made all the difference for the vibe and tied the whole night together.
