As a bride, I have multiple food allergies. I had another cake provided by the catering company for all my guests, but I decided that I needed a cake that I could eat too, since it was MY wedding! Elin had never baked for all the multiple allergens that I have, so she went to work experimenting until she had something that she was happy with and tasted good. I was so pleased to be able to have wedding cake that wouldn't make me sick! Thanks to Moxie for make a dairy free, soy free and gluten free cake for me!!

This local bakery and cafe was our first choice to discuss wedding cupcakes for our October 2010 wedding. At times, I think Elin (Owner and Baker) was more excited about my wedding than me. Our cupcakes and personal cutting cake were beautiful and delicious - and we look forward to getting our brand new (no freezer burned cake here) on our first anniversary compliments of Moxie. The other great thing about Moxie, is it also happens to be "a social enterprise operated by Cakes for Cause and provides job training and support to youth in our town of Frederick who have aged out of foster care or who live in public housing in our community. Moxie offers youth apprentices real work experience and learning opportunities that put them on the path to successful adulthood." Great food, great cause, great vendor choice!
