We have worked with Megan since our wedding in 2011, and to say her talent and eye have catapulted would be an understatement. Megan, a trained photojournalist, documents weddings and family sessions like a journalist would (I am also a journalist so I love this) -- those in-between moments that tell a much bigger story.

I can take a family portrait, but Megan can take a family portrait that says "look at the facets of this family." There is movement, emotion, imperfection, and she captures it all.

My favorite photos from Megan (from my own sessions and everything she shoots) are those "holy cow" moments that no one else saw, but she did. These are what I want to remember when I look back at this investment 10, 15, 20 years from now.

And Megan is such a pleasure to work with. She is not local to us but knows to let us know if she's in the area and bends over backward to make a session work with travel and schedules.

She's transparent, patient, accommodating and just a genuinely kind person to be around. When you let someone into your wedding space or your home, they need to feel like they're part of it, and Megan does just that. She humored my kids when they wanted the most ridiculous pictures taken but also knew how to redirect so we didn't have 100 pictures of a Target toy dog.

Megan clearly loves what she does, and as a journalist, I am so glad that she's been able to blend the worlds of photojournalism and lifestyle / wedding photography. Because I benefit from it!

If we could give her a more stars out of five we would. To say we have high expectations is an understatement and Megan blew those out of the water.

Megan is a true professional from initial email communications through planning and most importantly day of execution. My wife and I were joking that we wish Megan was our wedding planner because she set a new bar for planning and communication. She also blew us away with her perseverance when she hiked through cold, wind, and rain for an engagement shoot and then stuck out the NC summer heat when the power was out for most of the day of our wedding. Instead of complaining or getting frustrated, she was always solution focused and kept everyone positive in face of unforeseen challenges.

Megan is a cut above the rest. Her photos are fantastic and her calm demeanor helped to keep us chill throughout the whole wedding day. She had fantastic prompts to help us capture the moment and even soak up our experience and truly be present. She stuck by us with not 1, but 4 wedding dates during pandemic rescheduling and was super flexible and understanding through the whole thing. She was also pretty far into her pregnancy, but did not let that stop her! She sent us some preview photos (about 20-30 pics) the next day and honestly, if that's all we get I would be perfectly satisfied. That being said, I cannot wait to get the full volume of photos back. She helped to make our day extra special and I can't say enough great things about her. We saw her portfolio online and loved her pictures. We reached out, got a quick response, and reserved our date. It was fairly quick and easy. She met with us over Zoom a couple of times to discuss what we wanted and answer our questions. The day of the wedding, she made sure she got all of the pictures we wanted and more. She was super sweet and made us feel so comfortable during the shoot. We loved that because we're both kind of awkward people and aren't great with getting our pictures taken. Our wedding was 10/03 so we don't have all of our pictures back yet but she did send us a sneak peak and they look absolutely amazing. Our wedding was outdoors and it was raining that day but the pictures we've seen thus far still look so magical. If you're looking for an amazing photographer, especially for an outdoor venue, go with Megan. You won't be disappointed!

Megan is such a talented photographer, sweet soul, and all around pleasure! From the moment she became a part of our "wedding family", she showed us that her profession is so much more than a job to her; it is about making connections and helping to elaborate on someone's love story.

Megan is amazing. Words can't really do her justice- her work speaks for itself. She was just incredible on our wedding day. We had an unexpected hail AND thunder storm during the ceremony, and Megan kept working through the entire thing, never once seeming to let it stop her. The memories she captured for us are just amazing, and I can't stop looking at all of the photos. Megan is 5 stars all around. If she is available on your date, book her! She is an absolute joy of a person and a pleasure to work with. She goes above and beyond anything written on paper to make you special and happy. Her photos are beautiful, natural, and nothing is ever forced, cheesy, or awkward about her style. She captures everyone's candid spirit. Best of all, she can make people who were not at your wedding feel as if they were, through all the emotion, dynamic movement, and life that comes through her pictures. You don't need a videographer with her photos. At the event, she's practically invisible but everywhere at the same time. You know those photographers that block your view during the ceremony? Or are obnoxious trying to get in front of you to get a better shot of the first dance? Not Megan. Our family and friends repeatedly 'wow' at how they couldn't even tell she was there. But she captured everything. Once the big day is over, she continues to take care of you with beautiful books and albums and quality prints. Before, during, and after -
she is responsive, and attentive, and thinks of the details or questions you wouldn't even know to ask. After she shoots, she turns pictures and albums around to you in a heartbeat. My friends are amazed at how quickly I received my photos.

Is there anyway I can give more than 5 stars!? Megan is above and beyond amazing! I could not have had a better wedding photographer. She captured every perfect, natural moment that I almost didn't even know happened. Every picture is beautiful and she was simply amazing to work with that day. She drove us from place to place and we would randomly stop and take pictures when she was inspired and it was so worth it. If I ever need professional photos again I will make it a point to have Megan do them. Another plus was how quickly she got all of those special moments to us! Much faster than I was anticipating!

We were totally awestruck by Megan's talent, and so very happy to work with her as our wedding photographer. My daughter hired Megan for both her engagement and wedding photos. We are thrilled with the outcome. Megan is an amazing and artistic photographer. I have been blown away with the photos she's taken. She has the ability to capture the moment and personalities of the bride and groom. We were pleasantly surprised to get about a dozen photos the same night as the wedding. I guess she doesn't sleep. The rest of the photos were available within a week. Everything was way beyond our expectations. Everyone who has seen the photos has said they are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen. Megan's photos cost a bit more than other photographers but we felt that it was worth it to get quality photos. The day goes by so quickly, you tend to forgot the details until you see the photos. She captures the day beautifully. My daughter even had friends that said when they saw her photos, they wanted to do a redo of their own. This was well worth every penny spent. The only problem is selecting photos photos for my book. I can't decide!
