Stop your search for a wedding photographer. You have found her with Megan / MorningWild. Megan shot our engagement photos in November, 2021 and recently shot our wedding in June, 2022. If we could give her a more stars out of five we would. To say we have high expectations is an understatement and Megan blew those out of the water.

Megan is a true professional from initial email communications through planning and most importantly day of execution. My wife and I were joking that we wish Megan was our wedding planner because she set a new bar for planning and communication. She also blew us away with her perseverance when she hiked through cold, wind, and rain for an engagement shoot and then stuck out the NC summer heat when the power was out for most of the day of our wedding. Instead of complaining or getting frustrated, she was always solution focused and kept everyone positive in face of unforeseen challenges.

Insane Photography Skills

Megan is a cut above the rest. Her photos are fantastic and her calm demeanor helped to keep us chill throughout the whole wedding day. She had fantastic prompts to help us capture the moment and even soak up our experience and truly be present. She stuck by us with not 1, but 4 wedding dates during pandemic rescheduling and was super flexible and understanding through the whole thing. She was also pretty far into her pregnancy, but did not let that stop her! She sent us some preview photos (about 20-30 pics) the next day and honestly, if that's all we get I would be perfectly satisfied. That being said, I cannot wait to get the full volume of photos back. She helped to make our day extra special and I can't say enough great things about her. Would recommend her to everyone and anyone who wants fantastic photos and a great experience. Thanks for everything, Megan! :)

Megan was amazing. We couldn't ask for a better photographer!

We saw her portfolio online and loved her pictures. We reached out, got a quick response, and reserved our date. It was fairly quick and easy. She met with us over Zoom a couple of times to discuss what we wanted and answer our questions. The day of the wedding, she made sure she got all of the pictures we wanted and more. She was super sweet and made us feel so comfortable during the shoot. We loved that because we're both kind of awkward people and aren't great with getting our pictures taken. Our wedding was 10/03 so we don't have all of our pictures back yet but she did send us a sneak peak and they look absolutely amazing. Our wedding was outdoors and it was raining that day but the pictures we've seen thus far still look so magical. If you're looking for an amazing photographer, especially for an outdoor venue, go with Megan. You won't be disappointed!

Megan is amazing. Words can't really do her justice- her work speaks for itself. She was just incredible on our wedding day. We had an unexpected hail AND thunder storm during the ceremony, and Megan kept working through the entire thing, never once seeming to let it stop her. The memories she captured for us are just amazing, and I can't stop looking at all of the photos. I'm so glad that Megan was there to capture all the special moments that will help us re-live this wonderful day for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much Megan.

Megan is such a talented photographer, sweet soul, and all around pleasure! From the moment she became a part of our "wedding family", she showed us that her profession is so much more than a job to her; it is about making connections and helping to elaborate on someone's love story.
Her photos are stunning! I mean, come on..just look at them! Making the choice to hire her based on talent alone was an easy decision. I never had to worry about if I was going to get "that one shot" with Megan. I trusted her whole heartedly to capture our wedding day and all it's little details. Her background in photo journalism truly shines in her ability to not only photograph the events of the day, but also the emotions and stories of you and your guests.
Throughout the entire wedding planning process, when small details distract couples from what it actually means to get married, Megan found little ways to keep us focused on each other. I really appreciated how much she CARED about us as more than just clients, but as two friends that she was so excited to see married.
For us she greek danced, climbed mountains, faced the cold, ate gnats, found snow, sang along to Linkin Park, and always fought for "that perfect shot"...and she always got it.

Megan is 5 stars all around. If she is available on your date, book her! She is an absolute joy of a person and a pleasure to work with. She goes above and beyond anything written on paper to make you special and happy. Her photos are beautiful, natural, and nothing is ever forced, cheesy, or awkward about her style. She captures everyone's candid spirit. Best of all, she can make people who were not at your wedding feel as if they were, through all the emotion, dynamic movement, and life that comes through her pictures. You don't need a videographer with her photos. At the event, she's practically invisible but everywhere at the same time. You know those photographers that block your view during the ceremony? Or are obnoxious trying to get in front of you to get a better shot of the first dance? Not Megan. Our family and friends repeatedly 'wow' at how they couldn't even tell she was there. But she captured everything. Once the big day is over, she continues to take care of you with beautiful books and albums and quality prints. Before, during, and after -
she is responsive, and attentive, and thinks of the details or questions you wouldn't even know to ask. After she shoots, she turns pictures and albums around to you in a heartbeat. My friends are amazed at how quickly I received my photos.
And she did all of this with an infant at home. She is a superwoman! Thank you Megan <3

Is there anyway I can give more than 5 stars!? Megan is above and beyond amazing! I could not have had a better wedding photographer. She captured every perfect, natural moment that I almost didn't even know happened. Every picture is beautiful and she was simply amazing to work with that day. She drove us from place to place and we would randomly stop and take pictures when she was inspired and it was so worth it. If I ever need professional photos again I will make it a point to have Megan do them. Another plus was how quickly she got all of those special moments to us! Much faster than I was anticipating!

Megan is incredible. Not only is she so talented, but she is able to capture our personalities within her style! There is so much pressure on Pinterest and Wedding websites for your engagement photos to look a certain way, but she shattered all of my existing notions of what my photos would look like. They are PERFECT! Everything I was hoping and far beyond what I was imaging. She was able to get both my fiance and I comfortable in front of the camera with a few of her tricks and the pictures are amazing! Our photos are pure, timeless, intimate, soft, joyful, radiant, and spectacular. Her photos made myself, my mom, and my fiance's mom cry, and probably a few of my roommates. What blew us even more away was her timeliness after the photos were taken! She got them back to use so quickly and in the highest quality! We booked her for both our engagement and wedding photos and we CANNOT wait for her to shoot our wedding. You need to think twice before hiring anyone other than her!

My daughter hired Megan for both her engagement and wedding photos. We are thrilled with the outcome. Megan is an amazing and artistic photographer. I have been blown away with the photos she's taken. She has the ability to capture the moment and personalities of the bride and groom. We were pleasantly surprised to get about a dozen photos the same night as the wedding. I guess she doesn't sleep. The rest of the photos were available within a week. Everything was way beyond our expectations. Everyone who has seen the photos has said they are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen. Megan's photos cost a bit more than other photographers but we felt that it was worth it to get quality photos. The day goes by so quickly, you tend to forgot the details until you see the photos. She captures the day beautifully. My daughter even had friends that said when they saw her photos, they wanted to do a redo of their own. This was well worth every penny spent. The only problem is selecting photos photos for my book. I can't decide!

Megan was without a doubt the most important vendor to me. I wanted someone to capture our wedding day in a real and fun way and that is exactly what she did. She is extremely talented and has an incredible eye. To me she found the emotions and true moments to capture without it having to be staged. I loved Megan and her assistant Emma. She also had our photos back to us within a week which is unheard of. Most photographers give you a preview and then you wait a month or two for all of the images. I loved working with Megan and would recommend her to anyone!!!!

Choosing Megan as our photographer was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. She is immensely talented and has such an eye for taking beautiful and artistic shots. A true storyteller, her photographs captured the essence of our wedding day.

We had considered less expensive alternatives before deciding on Megan, and she was worth every penny. She is fun and makes you feel at ease throughout the day and is also extremely professional. We knew we were in good hands. She even edited pictures the night of the wedding so we woke up in the morning to 25 beautifully edited photos. She also turned around all 700 of our wedding photos so quickly. We got ours before friends who were married a month before us. I think that speaks volumes about Megan's passion in what she does.

In my opinion, Megan is the best wedding photographer there is.

Megan was so wonderful to work with on our wedding day! She made it so easy to be in front of the camera and caught tons and tons of little in between moments that are so special to my husband and I! She fit in seamlessly and my family & friends can't stop talking about how beautiful her photographs are. My husband and I are obsessed and can't wait to wallpaper our home with her artistry! Megan is an incredibly talented photographer! She captures, raw, authentic moments and is able to communicate your story. The pictures we received from both our engagement session and wedding day were stunning. It even rained on our wedding day and she sent us over 1000 photos and they were beautiful (many people said you couldn't even tell it was raining in our photos!). We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. She puts you at ease and between our wedding day and our engagement photo session, everything was so fun! From the moment we met Megan, we knew we would be honored if she spent our wedding day with us. Wow. Of all of the fantastic vendors we had the privilege to work with in preparation for our wedding, Megan was, by far, one of our best choices. She is such a lovely person to work with and a truly talented photographer. She has a true gift that goes above and beyond just taking pretty photos; she’s a natural with composition, focus and various light effects, but more importantly, she captures moments that speak to your emotions and that alone can communicate the story of the day. I found Megan through a mutual friend and in retrospect, it was the most serendipitous meeting that could have happened! Although Megan was in South Carolina her work speaks volumes about her style, tone and character so I decided to have her come north for my Old Forge, NY wedding. Her prices were comparable to what I would have paid for a decent photographer in New York, and let me tell you: Megan's work is not decent. It is stupendous, outstanding and perfectly captured the story of the day. All the moments I wanted to re-visit; all of the moments I could not be there for; all of the emotion on our guests faces - Megan captured it all. Even the structured family photos that we took after the ceremony that aren't typically profound - Megan was able to imbue them with heartfelt meaning. At times I internally questioned why Megan had us stand a certain way, in a certain light, and wondered what in the world the final result would be. If I could go back in time my mantra would be TRUST IN MEGAN. She knows what she's doing, how the light will play on your features to make them look like magic, how to get all the important moments. Megan's work spoke volumes to me, which is what led me to book her initially, but seeing my photos made me so, so glad that she was our photographer. Also, her turnaround time was incredible! She let us know to expect our photos within 3-4 weeks. An incredible 7 days later, I'm getting an e-mail that says our online albums are ready. What?! Unheard of! If you do one thing for your wedding, book Megan. She is simply the best.

I came across Megan when I was looking for a photographer for my Blue Ridge parkway wedding, when I saw how she could capture the most discreet unplanned moments and emotions, I knew I had to have her for my wedding. I lined her up before I did anything else. Her availability decided my wedding date for me. Having Megan around felt like having an old friend around. She was professional, genuine and sweet, and actually had a very calming effect on me! I felt very natural with her around she really captured the essence of how we felt on our wedding day (spectacular). She was very easy to work with, very responsive with all my questions and plans and has provided us with our pictures early! Highly recommended.

Megan is an absolute doll. I discovered her company when a mutual friend of ours recommended her as an incredibly skilled yet reasonably priced photographer for my upcoming wedding, and from the moment I saw samples of her work I knew I had to have her shoot our day.

From the moment I first emailed her she was extremely attentive and helpful, responding to my emails within hours. She worked with me to customize a package that suited our needs and budget, and she kept in contact throughout the planning process.

On the day of, Megan totally won over everyone in my family and bridal party. She was helpful, instructing us what to do without being pushy, and really letting our personalities shine in the photographs. She isn't kidding when she says she wants to capture the "story" of your wedding day -- it's exactly what she does!

The result is photos that are beautiful, artistic, and real, not stiffly posed or forced like some photographers provide. I would recommend her to anyone!

I'm so happy that Megan was our wedding photographer. Her photo-journalistic style really captured the moments of the day. We also had an engagement shoot with her and couldn't have been happier with the photos she got! Everyone has commented on how beautiful our pictures are.
