Minnesota Reverend is an award-winning wedding officiant located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Owner Reverend Derek Kiewatt has been performing unique and memorable ceremonies for more than 40 years. Even with all those years behind him, he is still excited about officiating such an important moment in the lives of his clients. The weddings he performs reflect the beauty and romance of the occasion, while remaining light-hearted and professional.
Experience
Reverend Derek Kiewatt is graduate of the University of Minnesota and Harvard Divinity School. He is an ordained Unitarian Universalist (UU) minister and has performed weddings all across the United States. He is currently licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California.
Services Offered
Minnesota Reverand is happy to serve all couples: agnostic, earth-based, non-denominational, Unitarian Universalist, and humanist couples. His ceremonies last less than 30 minutes, and he is fluent in both English and German. Before the big day, couples can meet with Reverend Derek for premarital education to help guide them and received a $75 discount on their marriage license. They are also welcome to write their own vows, and he can perform a wedding rehearsal. Minnesota Reverend provides services for many wedding types, including:

Reverend Kiewat obviously Loves performing weddings. He arrived early to the ceremony, we went through the music cues for my song, piano music, discussed the best musicians set up in the room, and the ceremony order details. He then spent extra time reviewing cues with the couple & the wedding party children to ensure everyone was comfortable with all aspects.The wedding was touching and went beautifully!
