My spouse and I have been together for fifteen years. We're not religious or sentimental, and have never been very interested in getting married. But I got a new job with excellent benefits, and it made financial sense to finally tie the knot.

We were looking for an officiant who could make the process simple, easy, and clear. We didn't want to wade through a lot of confusing packages, or have to continually have to re-explain that yes, really, we don't want anything romantic, traditional, or religious. We know it's not typical, but we truly just wanted to sign the papers and be done. Our life together is simple and low-stress, exactly how we like it, and we wanted our wedding day to be the same.

Alphia was perfect! She had a simple package that offered exactly what we wanted -- we brought the license, she signed everything, and then she mailed in what we needed. We figured everything out through a few emails back and forth, she explained what to expect and what we would need to bring, and the day of, it was a quick fifteen minute process on the patio of a local brewery. She signed our papers and left, we had a few beers with our witnesses, and then headed home married. A week later, our official license arrived in the mail. It was exactly what we wanted.

She was open to everything we wanted to include, had great suggestions for additions to our ideas, and had many resources for any aspect of the ceremony where we drew a blank. We were also planning our ceremony from another state and it was a breeze to work with Fia online. Our ceremony script was beautiful and personal. Fia put so much heart into creating it with us and perfecting it for our big day. Our wedding ceremony was intimate, warm, and joyful. Fia is lovely speaker. She worked well with our family and other vendors and she guided us through all aspects of the ceremony smoothly and without confusion. We could not have been happier with having Alphia as the celebrant for our wedding in June, 2022. Right from the outset she made us incredibly comfortable, getting to know us over a series of meetings and was clear and specific about our timeline up to the wedding. She was enormously flexible and considerate in helping us realize the kind of ceremony we wanted and then shifting her outline and shaping it to us. Our ceremony ended up feeling both entirely ours, and had a huge stamp of the uplifting spirit of Alphia throughout. We’ve been to lots of weddings where the spiel from the celebrant feels forced (“The bride says they like this about the groom, …” etc), but Alphia’s ceremony was personal without being artificial. She was light and bright in parts of the ceremony, but then imbued the ceremony with a deep gravity around its key moments. This sense for the texture of the ceremony and varying the tone throughout was really beautiful and something we haven’t seen in celebrants at other weddings. Our guests all praised Alphia, saying that they hadn’t seen such a fluid, tender and appreciative ceremony before, with Alphia being entirely responsible for setting up a ceremony that could allow for all of this.
