We could not have been happier with having Alphia as the celebrant for our wedding in June, 2022. Right from the outset she made us incredibly comfortable, getting to know us over a series of meetings and was clear and specific about our timeline up to the wedding. She was enormously flexible and considerate in helping us realize the kind of ceremony we wanted and then shifting her outline and shaping it to us. Our ceremony ended up feeling both entirely ours, and had a huge stamp of the uplifting spirit of Alphia throughout. We’ve been to lots of weddings where the spiel from the celebrant feels forced (“The bride says they like this about the groom, …” etc), but Alphia’s ceremony was personal without being artificial. She was light and bright in parts of the ceremony, but then imbued the ceremony with a deep gravity around its key moments. This sense for the texture of the ceremony and varying the tone throughout was really beautiful and something we haven’t seen in celebrants at other weddings. Our guests all praised Alphia, saying that they hadn’t seen such a fluid, tender and appreciative ceremony before, with Alphia being entirely responsible for setting up a ceremony that could allow for all of this.
