After 33 years Mike and I celebrated legal marriage in Minnesota. Our Ceremony was a wonderful witnessed by friends and family and the Diane Martinson Trio made our reception so memorable. The music was beautiful and Diane worked with us with our song selection, which made it very personal. They also played the song from our commitment ceremony in 1981 that became our first dance at our reception. I can not recommend Diane and company enough. I look forward to using them again. Diane was so easy to work with while we planned our wedding! Being a same-sex couple, we appreciated her excitement to work with us and her ease in making us feel so comfortable! She had the right music and great suggestions about how we could make our wedding the best event! Her website was really helpful because we could listen to clips of her actually singing the songs - not just a list. If it wasn't there, she could find it! She was awesome and her pianist was extremely talented!

We are a professional couple in our mid-30s, who really enjoy music. We had a traditional wedding with 150 guests and a sit-down meal. Elevation Swing and Variety Band played for our reception, after dinner, for dancing.

We thought this band was GREAT. They are skilled musicians and good performers. THEY looked like they were having fun up there. The music was great for dancing. The tunes were familiar to us and our guests, so everybody had a lot of fun. The music was loud enough to enjoy dancing to, but not too loud for our guests to talk and socialize.

One guest commented about how good they were at reading the crowd and playing the right music for the moment. Lots of guests loved the music. A couple of people asked, "where did you find them? They were great!"

And, most importantly, my mom (who doesn't usually dance) said that one of her favorite parts of our wedding was dancing as a family as the band played "We Are Family".

It was great working with Diane and her group! As we are fans of music that utilizes a horn section, we opted for the 8 piece version of the Elevation Swing and Variety Band. The band has an impressive catalog of songs that spans many genres, and we were able to communicate ahead of time in terms of our preferences and give a sense of what music we desired for the event. It seems that they also adjusted their play list as needed to meet the feel of the crowd. The musicianship is top notch, they blend and balance nicely, and keep the volume at the perfect level--enough energy to keep things going without drowning out conversation. With some lead time, the band was nice enough able to work up some special songs for us. Most importantly, they were having fun themselves! We received lots of great complements about their performances, both at the reception and in the weeks to come.

Music was beautiful.

Diane's group was professional, flexible with our evening events and worked with our theme. Even Dressed the part :)

I would recommend them for any corporate event or wedding.

All around EXCELLENT!! I didn't have to worry one bit about anything related to my ceremony music and cocktail hour/dinner music. Diane and JR are very professional, and best of all they sound GREAT. People told me the music gave them tears in their eyes during the ceremony. They are very flexible and easy to get ahold of. If you want an extremely good value you for your money don't hesitate to hire them, you will not be dissapointed!
