We found our engagement ring setting at Michaels in Orange and the service there was OK, but not anything to get excited about. I asked them about matching wedding bands and they didn't help too much. I also asked in the Westfarms Mall because I worked there. They said to come in when I was ready to buy. I wandered in to the Michaels in Avon by accident.
The staff there was amazing. They were proactive - they contacted Scott Kay and found all the possible matching rings for me and my husband and e-mailed me multiple times about them. What brought us in to buy them over six months advance was a sale to get money off of one ring by buying the other one.
The service didn't stop there. The manager remembered me by name every time I went in, and I did have to go in more than once. I didn't like the ring that I ordered, and they let me return it for a custom made one.
Problem was: the custom made one came out wrong. I asked for it without the diamonds from the stock ring. They removed the diamonds AND the detail work. When I went to pick it up, they saw it was SO wrong immediately, and laughed with me about it. A few weeks later, I got the ring I wanted, and it was perfect.
The manager and staff at this Michaels is the best out of any we've been to, and I've been to three. They're fantastic.
