Merriweather Lakehouse is a wedding venue in the heart of Columbia, Maryland. Situated on the scenic Lake Kittamaqundi, this elegant Autograph Collection hotel is a delightfully intimate place where dreams come true and beautiful forevers begin.
Facilities and Capacity
Merriweather Lakehouse hosts everything from engagement parties and bridal showers to wedding ceremonies and receptions. The hotel comprises over 12,000 square feet of flexible event space and offers a choice of indoor and uncovered outdoor settings for your special day. The outdoor patio area can accommodate parties of 100 to 250 guests and is perfect for your ceremony and cocktail hour; the lovely ballroom features a wooden dance floor and neutral decor and provides plenty of space for up to 250 people. The hotel also includes the fabulous LAK Restaurant, the Rookery Bar, and the Eagle Watch Rooftop Pool and Lounge area, where you and your loved ones can relax and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Kittamaqundi. Merriweather Lakehouse has 212 guest rooms, including 8 suites, all with luxury bedding and linens and spa-inspired bathroom amenities.

Wedding package features include customizable menus, a complimentary menu tasting for up to four people, a choice of luxury bar packages, use of the reception space for up to five hours, a complimentary junior balcony suite with a lake view for you to enjoy on your wedding night, a courtesy room block, discounted room rates for your guests, and a dedicated events team to guide and support you every step of the way.
