Simply Elegent is a great caterer. My experience was a pleasure due to Stephanie. She was so helpful & thoughtful with my many questions. Sam, Michele all of the team was amazing. Our reception was outside under a tent in Portsmouth. All food was delicious and I received many compliments from our guests. Thank you again for making our day so special!!

I had my reception at Merrimack Valley Golf Club. The grounds are gorgeous for pictures. We had 140 guests, and the room was set up perfectly (not too crowded). Simply Elegant Catering did a phenomenal job. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I received so many compliments. Michele, Sam, Carissa, & Stephanie are a great team. There were no issues with communication, and they were very flexible. The planning process was extremely easy due to their experience, and they even made helpful recommendations for the other vendors we worked with. On the day of the wedding, things went very smoothly, and we were able to enjoy ourselves. I cannot say enough great things about the Simply Elegant Catering team and highly recommend them.

Our wedding was last June and I am just getting to write a review, but wanted to make sure I did because we were so happy with everything about MVGC. From the initial meeting to tour the venue, we were welcomed with open arms. Sam and Michelle have a wonderful light hearted working relationship that is refreshing to see while planning a wedding. Once we saw the views and ballroom, we knew we found our venue. Leading up to the wedding day, Michelle was available to answer any questions. We had a unique floor plan we wanted and Michelle and Sam even setup the room a few weeks before our wedding to get a visual on what it would look like. The food was delicious. The time management of the day went smoothly thanks to Michelle and her assistant for the day. We had a few unexpected things happen (guests arriving in the middle of the ceremony precession, and uninvited guests at the reception) and it was handled flawlessly. I would highly recommend this venue for a couple looking for a ballroom reception, gorgeous outdoor ceremony spot, covered cocktail hour, and good value. Thanks again Michelle and Sam!

Michele was absolutely amazing to work with! As someone who is a classified control freak, I was very nervous going into the planning process for my wedding day. The day I met Michele I knew she was perfect for my day! I trusted her 100% and could see how great she was at her job. She was on top of every detail, very easy to work with and communicate with, and is a huge support through this stressful time. She is very organized and professional and she will make sure your day goes as close to perfect as possible, just like she did for mine!!!
PS all the other workers I had met along the way (other day of coordinators - AnnMarie specifically-, wait staff, bartenders, chefs, and even the guys that work for the regular golf place) made my day amazing. They all want the best for their brides and grooms and it shows. They work hard, they're genuinely kind, and they will treat you like royalty.

Merrimack Valley Golf Club is the perfect place to have our wedding ceremony. The reason why I pick the MVGC over other vendors was because I love the fact they have different options I was looking for a beautiful place where I can have my ceremony only .Its so beautiful everything is well maintained and the scene is breathtaking I love it. They also took their time to explain everything to me and my fiancé and made us feel very comfortable. I just book with them today my ceremony is not until 8/20/16 I cant wait I am so excited and very happy and please that I booked MVGC

This review is LONG overdue! I got married at MVGC back in March. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, Michele and Sam were so amazing to work with. Since I got married in an off month they offered a great package that had tons of flexibility in it. We also had to make arrangements to have a private tasting since the group tasting would have been too close to our date. The whole process was seamless. The views of the course from the Ballroom are amazing even in the middle of winter. The pictures came our fantastic. I could not ask for better people to work with for our special day. THANK YOU!!! Such a beautiful place for a wedding. The grounds are gorgeous, the food is absolutely delicious, Michele is a pleasure to work with! My husband and I searched 9 different wedding venues and saw this one first and after the other 8 we came back to it and booked it! We loved the outside ceremony space, the cocktail hour room, and the ballroom, it was perfect for our wedding. Michele makes you feel very comfortable and easy to talk to, she really is an expert wedding coordinator. My guests loved the food and kept raving about it which is huge because wedding food typically has a bad reputation. I am extremely satisified with our whole experience and would recommend this venue to all brides in the northshore area!

We just had my daughter's Sweet 16 at Merrimack Valley Golf Club. Simply ELegant Catering was simply fantastic! They helped us customize the perfect menu and were very helpful planning every detail. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious!!!! Sending a big thanks to Sam, Michelle and Ali. Everybody did an outstanding job and would be so happy to come back again for our next big event, I strongly recommend this club and caterer to everybody!

Merrimack Valley Golf Club was the perfect place to have our wedding reception. We chose MVGC because of Michelle. There are many other golf clubs in the area that are all similar, but Michelle really knew what she was taking about and gave us confidence that every single detail would be taken care of. She recommended vendors she really liked working with but didn't push us if we wanted to go with a vendor of our own, and she was always very responsive through the entire process.

Michelle took care of everything on the days leading up to the wedding and on the actual night of. We were in great hands, which allowed us to relax and really enjoy our reception which made a huge difference. Our pictures came out stunning because of such a beautiful backdrop and the high ceilings in the ballroom. I would recommend MVGC to anyone!

The only thing I would suggest is to not push the room limit. Initially we were planning on having 140ish people when we booked it, and we ended up having around 170. The room was a little tight, but it was because of our increased guest list!

MVGC offers the full package: wonderful staff, delicious food, convenient vendor packages, beautiful decor, and gorgeous views. Everything about having our reception here was easy and stress free. It is clear that Michele and Sam genuinely care about each couple that chooses to host their ceremony at MVGC. We worked with Michele and Sam to customize our cocktail hour to ensure our big Italian family had enough delicious food to enjoy. Sam ended up manning our pasta station, our guests could not say enough good things!! Dropping off our decorations was easy and convenient, as was picking them up. Michele helped us make our menu choices based on the meals we wanted but never pressured us into choosing anything we weren't crazy about. Day of staff could not have been more helpful or organized. MVGC offers only one wedding per day and this just once again shows how much they care about their couples. I would recommend MVGC to any couples looking for a fantastic venue. I look forward to working with Michele and Sam in the future!
