We hired Meagan Lucy Photography in 2018 as our videographer for our wedding in May 2020, originally planned at a winery in Sacramento. Due to COVID, we last minute decided to elope to Lake Tahoe and postpone our reception party to 2021. We're SO thankful we had Ryan to capture and film our special day, creating BEAUTIFUL films that we can show our family and friends who couldn't attend. In the end, we decided to cancel our reception party and Ryan/Meagan were so kind to make edits to our elopement films, which I know must've been a lot easier said than done! Thank you so much!

Prior to hiring Meagan, my husband and I had another photographer take our engagement photos. We didn't love them.

I was expressing my frustrations with finding a photographer for our wedding with a colleague at work. He gave me Meagan's name and she was absolutely the BEST choice we could have made.

Meagan is so much more than a photographer. She's a circus wrangler, a cheerleader, a visionary, and a hands-down joy to work with. We were both clueless when it came to what shots we wanted, and she managed to capture our entire day perfectly. (Pro tip: Definitely take her up on the engagement shoot!)

Meagan Lucy (Meagan Lucy Photographers) instantly makes you feel like you have known her for years! The first time we spoke over the phone we talked for over an hour. I felt like I was talking to my best friend. In the last few months before my wedding I was back in the emergency room twice and just weeks before I had to undergo a treatment. Meagan was so gracious and kind during this very stressful time in our lives. Her positive attitude was infectious! We could not have been more fortunate to have her capture our love in both photos and video. Our wedding video was so far beyond our expectations, we are still speechless when we watch it! She has truly given us memories of our love that will last forever.

Meagan and her team are AMAZING. I got married on October 13th of this year and my now sister in law gifted us with Meagan as our photographer. My sister in law spent countless hours researching and felt that after reviewing the website of Meagan Lucy Photographers that this would be a good choice to capture our day. IT WAS AN AMAZING CHOICE!! We met with Meagan multiple times and spent countless minutes going over every single detail. I would’ve never thought of most of the things we covered but Meagan is a true professional and goes over everything you could ever imagine. I am a crazy person when it comes keeping a timeline and Meagan went over what we were doing when and who would be involved so that come day of, I didn’t even have to worry about a think! We just received our pictures and I’m so in love with how her and her team captured everything. We also went ahead and did the video too, and my gosh I’m so glad we did!! We got our trailer which is a little 1 minute teaser about a week after our wedding. A WEEK. Always, ALWAYS go for the video too. You will not regret it. I could go on and on but I’m so thankful we had Meagan as our photographer, it’s such an important thing for your wedding. Don’t miss out on having beautiful pictures to look back on, you’ve gotta pick the right person and you will absolutely be overjoyed working with Meagan! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who made our pictures unbelievable. You guys truly made our day ten times more special.

This review is a year overdue!

My wife and I met Meagan and her team at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show here in Sacramento. This was after seeing her listed on Weddingwire. We had a chance to speak with some other photography vendors, but we passed them all up when we didn’t get that vibe.

Our first impression was that Meagan wasn’t just a photographer looking for business. She was a passionate professional really interested in capturing one of the greatest moments of our lives. We immediately booked an appointment to meet with her. Talking to Meagan is like talking to a friend, someone who makes you feel comfortable, calm, like she has everything under control and you don’t need to worry. She helped us envision what was to come, which made every transition on our wedding day smoother than we could’ve ever anticipated.

A year has gone by and we still look at Meagan’s work; thankful that we chose her and honored that she shared her creativity with us.

As a side note, we pushed our wedding up a year (from 2018 to 17) because my mother had cancer. On that day my mother witnessed her eldest son commit himself to a beautiful woman, she was so happy that she didn’t feel any pain from her illness. The moments with my mother that Meagan captured on my wedding day are the last images I have of her and I will always cherish them. She passed away 3 months later.

Sadly, Wedding Wire limits my rating to 5 stars. Without reservation, we highly recommend Meagan Lucy and her team, and “highly” is an understatement.

Meagan Lucy is an excellent wedding photographer! She made every member of my wedding party very comfortable during the photo shoots before and after our ceremony. She captured the essence of our wedding ceremony and reception through film. We just received our wedding album and the quality of the photos is excellent. I would recommend Meagan Lucy photographers to anyone that is looking for the perfect wedding photographer!

Meagan has been our photographer from the beginning - from engagement shoot, wedding, and now many photo shoots as our family expands. She has an amazing eye and beyond technical talent she works well in different environments and with people of all ages. We often get asked "who shot your wedding, we love the photos ?!?", including our brother in law who recently hired her to shoot their wedding and reception. Basically, you won't be disappointed if you hire her and her team!
