Mckenzie Miller is a must have at your wedding. She and her team are beyond incredible and so talented. Mckenzie and her team have such great energy - They are positive, uplifting and so kind. I was always told that as a bride, you should surround yourself with vendors you trust because you spend a lot of time with them during your wedding. Now that I am on the other side of it - I completely agree and I can tell you that I was SO happy to have Mckenzie there. She was calm, happy and un-intrusive. She captured each moment, so pure and in the moment! We had guests who didn't even realize we had the weekend filmed. We just got our teaser film and cannot stop watching it. My parents said it was the best money they have ever spent. Mckenzie - thank you and the team for capturing our weekend so perfectly!

McKenzie, Jon and team did such an amazing job capturing our wedding day and creating beautiful films for us! They weren't intrusive at all throughout the day, but were still there to capture all of the important moments. They wove together our favorite parts from getting ready, the ceremony, speeches and the dance floor into a short 3 minute film and a longer 15 minute version. We can't watch them without crying because they so perfectly capture the emotion from the day. We are so happy that we chose McKenzie and her team to film our wedding and will treasure the videos for years to come!

We went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to have a videographer for our wedding. Not only is it costly, but we’d seen so many weddings where all of the photographers and videographers make the ceremony seem like a formal production instead of a special, intimate life event. But at the same time, we wanted high quality video of one of the most important day of our lives. Eventually, we decided to go for it.

We checked out a couple videographer options our Hudson Valley-based wedding planner suggested. They were 25% less than what we ultimately paid with McKenzie Miller Films, but the quality left us feeling like it wasn’t worth the price.

Then, we reached out to our photographer for a suggestion, knowing it was important that she work well with the videographer on the day of the wedding, too. She suggested McKenzie Miller, whose work we checked out on her website and loved. (We were also happy to see multiple same-sex weddings featured, which was important to us.)

We reached out to McKenzie and though she wasn’t available herself, her team was, so we set up a time to chat. After talking with McKenzie on the phone, we were confident her team’s approach to wedding videography was what we were looking for. She seemed laidback and not interested in staging anything, just capturing the beauty, love, and happiness of the day. She sent us two links to videos her team—Jon and Mike—had done and they looked great.

After reviewing and requesting changes to the contract—which McKenzie was easy to work with on and very patient since we had a lawyer in the family going over it—we signed on the dotted line.

About a month before the wedding, McKenzie connected us with Jon and sent us a detailed questionnaire to fill out. When we spoke with Jon on the phone, it was clear he’d reviewed it in depth and had helpful follow-up questions that would help him navigate the day. He was easygoing, but in control and we were confident going into the wedding.

We ended up adding two additional hours of coverage (10 total hours) after we ironed out our wedding timeline so that we could ensure Jon and Mike could capture everything, from us getting ready to all the speeches and parent dances. It was certainly an expensive endeavor, but a worthwhile one.

The day of the wedding, Mike and Jon were a bit late, but we were running behind on hair and makeup too so it didn’t matter much. They quickly captured some of our final hair and makeup touches before getting exterior shots of the house we were getting dressed at; detail shots of bouquets, shoes, invitation, dresses, etc.; and strategizing with our photographer for the first look.

They asked if they could mic us so that they could capture all the audio for the ceremony. After trying with my wife’s dress, it proved to be too challenging. But they were very apologetic and had a back-up plan so they weren’t too worried about the audio (or if they were, we thankfully couldn’t tell).

The first look went off without a hitch and then it was onto portraits. Mike would shoot from afar and Jon would do close-ups, a couple times asking us to do specific things, but mostly just capturing the action from behind the photographer. The photographer would ask if they got what they needed before moving on to another set-up and they usually did. It was really no extra work on us to have them there. Even during the reception and ceremony, we don’t recall seeing them in obvious places and they didn’t show up in any photos. They captured everything, but did it impressively discreetly.

Less than two months after our wedding, McKenzie emailed us our three-minute highlight reel and it far exceeded our expectations. They managed to capture so much of the day—and the emotions that came with it—in such a tight little package. We posted it on Facebook and got hundreds of comments from people who weren’t even there saying how much it moved them. It was incredible to see how well Jon, Mike, and McKenzie put everything together.

Just this week—a few weeks past the estimated three-month delivery date—we got our full 20-minute video. We were just as thrilled with the result (though we’re contemplating purchasing the raw footage for $500 so that we can have the speeches, dances, and ceremony in full).

In the end, even my wife admitted she was so happy we decided to hire a videographer, and we couldn’t be more grateful that it was McKenzie Miller Films.

I remember watching McKenzie's reel for the first time. I cried like a baby and decided right there and then that I needed a wedding video. She was absolutely lovely and professional from the initial conversation we had right up to our wedding day, and I am elated that we booked her. The day of the event she was a very calm and bright energy, not intrusive at all. We just saw our 3 minute highlight reel and it is the most beautiful clip ever! She managed to capture so many beautiful and intimate moments I would not believe it if I didn't see it! Do not hesitate to book McKenzie, she is worth every penny!!

There's not enough space to write about the quality of McKenzie's work. We knew McKenzie was talented when we hired her, but when we received our teaser film and then the full length film, we were speechless. It was more perfect than we ever thought it could be. As people who usually cringe when we hear our voices on film, we were blown away by how beautiful, special, and true to the day/feel of the wedding. Although wedding videography can be expensive, McKenzie's work if priceless and invaluable. Again, we knew she was good, but the final product far exceeded our expectations and we are just in love with her work. It also doesn't hurt that she is so sweet, nice, and calm (the best vibes you could hope for from wedding vendors). She brought along another person to help shoot and he was professional, nice, lighthearted and talented. We could not recommend her more -- though given her level of talent, she should be booked solid so if you can get her, DO IT.

McKenzie produce a wedding video more beautiful than we knew was possible and was an absolute dream to work with! We contacted McKenzie because we loved her style and unique use of audio in wedding videos. Once we began to work with her, McKenzie took an interest in us as a couple and made a great effort to find out what was most important to us about our wedding so that she would capture the most valuable moments. She was responsive, friendly, and thorough in the weeks and months before the event. At our wedding, our photographer and other vendors absolutely loved working with McKenzie. Best of all, however, is her product, which is absolutely exquisite. McKenzie captured the best moments of the wedding toasts, our ceremony and vows, and visuals from throughout the evening and wove them together into an absolutely beautiful video that was completely faithful to our Big Day and to us as a couple. We were so lucky to work with McKenzie and are so thrilled that we did! Her beautiful work means that we will get to keep our wedding forever.

McKenzie is absolutely amazing. Not only did she capture our day beautifully, she did it in the most unobtrusive and professional way. Our video was filled with our favorite, most memorable moments and was so clear and well edited it was almost as if we relived our day. Since receiving the full feature, we have been able to relive our magical day over and over. She is super sweet, talented, skilled and seasoned in wedding videography. The amount of compliments we have received (and still receive) are overwhelming. It was truly worth every penny, and the best money we could have ever spent. My husband and I were married on November 15, 2014 and McKenzie was our videographer.

McKenzie is an incredibly talented, kind, and hardworking person. Prior to booking her services, we went through her reel on her blog and were simply blown away by the creativity and beauty of her films. Working with her is even better. McKenzie was a true professional throughout each of our pre-wedding meetings (one over the phone and one in person) and was simply a dream the day of our wedding. McKenzie captured the true essence of our wedding day, with shots of myself, my husband, and my family that showed us as our true selves and in the happiest state we have ever been in. The talent that is demonstrated in our 3 minute preview is extraordinary and we cannot wait for our full film.

McKenzie is so incredibly talented! My mother in law found McKenzie for us moments after we got engaged, before I even had thought of having a videographer at our wedding. I was wowed by the video clips she had online- pretty much any video picked at random from her blog is guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes! Our wedding video is one of the greatest treasures we have from our wedding day, and watching it brings me back every time.
