  Mckenzie Miller is the Real Deal

  Mckenzie Miller is a must have at your wedding. She and her team are beyond incredible and so talented. Mckenzie and her team have such great energy - They are positive, uplifting and so kind. I was always told that as a bride, you should surround yourself with vendors you trust because you spend a lot of time with them during your wedding. Now that I am on the other side of it - I completely agree and I can tell you that I was SO happy to have Mckenzie there. She was calm, happy and un-intrusive. She captured each moment, so pure and in the moment! We had guests who didn't even realize we had the weekend filmed. We just got our teaser film and cannot stop watching it. My parents said it was the best money they have ever spent. Mckenzie - thank you and the team for capturing our weekend so perfectly!

  The most beautiful filmmakers!

  McKenzie, Jon and team did such an amazing job capturing our wedding day and creating beautiful films for us! They weren't intrusive at all throughout the day, but were still there to capture all of the important moments. They wove together our favorite parts from getting ready, the ceremony, speeches and the dance floor into a short 3 minute film and a longer 15 minute version. We can't watch them without crying because they so perfectly capture the emotion from the day. We are so happy that we chose McKenzie and her team to film our wedding and will treasure the videos for years to come!

  Priceless Keepsake

  We went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to have a videographer for our wedding. Not only is it costly, but we’d seen so many weddings where all of the photographers and videographers make the ceremony seem like a formal production instead of a special, intimate life event. But at the same time, we wanted high quality video of one of the most important day of our lives. Eventually, we decided to go for it.
  
  We checked out a couple videographer options our Hudson Valley-based wedding planner suggested. They were 25% less than what we ultimately paid with McKenzie Miller Films, but the quality left us feeling like it wasn’t worth the price.
  
  Then, we reached out to our photographer for a suggestion, knowing it was important that she work well with the videographer on the day of the wedding, too. She suggested McKenzie Miller, whose work we checked out on her website and loved. (We were also happy to see multiple same-sex weddings featured, which was important to us.)
  
  We reached out to McKenzie and though she wasn’t available herself, her team was, so we set up a time to chat. After talking with McKenzie on the phone, we were confident her team’s approach to wedding videography was what we were looking for. She seemed laidback and not interested in staging anything, just capturing the beauty, love, and happiness of the day. She sent us two links to videos her team—Jon and Mike—had done and they looked great.
  
  After reviewing and requesting changes to the contract—which McKenzie was easy to work with on and very patient since we had a lawyer in the family going over it—we signed on the dotted line.
  
  About a month before the wedding, McKenzie connected us with Jon and sent us a detailed questionnaire to fill out. When we spoke with Jon on the phone, it was clear he’d reviewed it in depth and had helpful follow-up questions that would help him navigate the day. He was easygoing, but in control and we were confident going into the wedding.
  
  We ended up adding two additional hours of coverage (10 total hours) after we ironed out our wedding timeline so that we could ensure Jon and Mike could capture everything, from us getting ready to all the speeches and parent dances. It was certainly an expensive endeavor, but a worthwhile one.
  
  The day of the wedding, Mike and Jon were a bit late, but we were running behind on hair and makeup too so it didn’t matter much. They quickly captured some of our final hair and makeup touches before getting exterior shots of the house we were getting dressed at; detail shots of bouquets, shoes, invitation, dresses, etc.; and strategizing with our photographer for the first look.
  
  They asked if they could mic us so that they could capture all the audio for the ceremony. After trying with my wife’s dress, it proved to be too challenging. But they were very apologetic and had a back-up plan so they weren’t too worried about the audio (or if they were, we thankfully couldn’t tell).
  
  The first look went off without a hitch and then it was onto portraits. Mike would shoot from afar and Jon would do close-ups, a couple times asking us to do specific things, but mostly just capturing the action from behind the photographer. The photographer would ask if they got what they needed before moving on to another set-up and they usually did. It was really no extra work on us to have them there. Even during the reception and ceremony, we don’t recall seeing them in obvious places and they didn’t show up in any photos. They captured everything, but did it impressively discreetly.
  
  Less than two months after our wedding, McKenzie emailed us our three-minute highlight reel and it far exceeded our expectations. They managed to capture so much of the day—and the emotions that came with it—in such a tight little package. We posted it on Facebook and got hundreds of comments from people who weren’t even there saying how much it moved them. It was incredible to see how well Jon, Mike, and McKenzie put everything together.
  
  Just this week—a few weeks past the estimated three-month delivery date—we got our full 20-minute video. We were just as thrilled with the result (though we’re contemplating purchasing the raw footage for $500 so that we can have the speeches, dances, and ceremony in full).
  
  In the end, even my wife admitted she was so happy we decided to hire a videographer, and we couldn’t be more grateful that it was McKenzie Miller Films.

  I remember watching McKenzie's reel for the first time. I cried like a baby and decided right there and then that I needed a wedding video. She was absolutely lovely and professional from the initial conversation we had right up to our wedding day, and I am elated that we booked her. The day of the event she was a very calm and bright energy, not intrusive at all. We just saw our 3 minute highlight reel and it is the most beautiful clip ever! She managed to capture so many beautiful and intimate moments I would not believe it if I didn't see it! Do not hesitate to book McKenzie, she is worth every penny!!

  There's not enough space to write about the quality of McKenzie's work. We knew McKenzie was talented when we hired her, but when we received our teaser film and then the full length film, we were speechless. It was more perfect than we ever thought it could be. As people who usually cringe when we hear our voices on film, we were blown away by how beautiful, special, and true to the day/feel of the wedding. Although wedding videography can be expensive, McKenzie's work if priceless and invaluable. Again, we knew she was good, but the final product far exceeded our expectations and we are just in love with her work. It also doesn't hurt that she is so sweet, nice, and calm (the best vibes you could hope for from wedding vendors). She brought along another person to help shoot and he was professional, nice, lighthearted and talented. We could not recommend her more -- though given her level of talent, she should be booked solid so if you can get her, DO IT.

McKenzie was a true professional throughout each of our pre-wedding meetings (one over the phone and one in person) and was simply a dream the day of our wedding. McKenzie was a wonderful, supportive presence to have by our side. One of the most incredible things about her, and her second-shooter, was that as the night wore on they were like flies on the wall. Not intrusive at all, but there for every important moment. As someone who wondered if she could be comfortable in front of a camera all day, I felt completely at ease and 100% comfortable with McKenzie.
  
  We are already in receipt of our preview film from McKenzie. It is currently, and will forever be, one of my most treasured possessions. McKenzie captured the true essence of our wedding day, with shots of myself, my husband, and my family that showed us as our true selves and in the happiest state we have ever been in.   McKenzie is absolutely amazing. Not only did she capture our day beautifully, she did it in the most unobtrusive and professional way. Our video was filled with our favorite, most memorable moments and was so clear and well edited it was almost as if we relived our day. Since receiving the full feature, we have been able to relive our magical day over and over. She is super sweet, talented, skilled and seasoned in wedding videography. The amount of compliments we have received (and still receive) are overwhelming. It was truly worth every penny, and the best money we could have ever spent.   McKenzie is so incredibly talented! My mother in law found McKenzie for us moments after we got engaged, before I even had thought of having a videographer at our wedding. I was wowed by the video clips she had online- pretty much any video picked at random from her blog is guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes! Our wedding video is one of the greatest treasures we have from our wedding day, and watching it brings me back every time. She captured everything so beautiful and artfully, I could not even have imagined anything like this. I know we will cherish this memento for ever! Thank you McKenzie!

  All I have to say is Amazing. Mckenzie was a joy to work with. We had so much fun working with her. She truly knows how to make a wedding into a story. From the initial meeting with Mckenzie we canceled all other interviews because we knew we wanted to to work with her. If you just watch 10 of her Videos and 9 will make you shed a tear. Beautiful and professional, all our footage arrived promptly.

  Other than marrying my husband, booking McKenzie was the best wedding decision I made. She is not only a truly gifted videographer, she is one of the kindest people I've ever met. You know when you meet someone and it feels like you've known them forever? That's how it feels with McKenzie. All you have to do is look at the wedding previews on her website and you will see what an artist she is.
  
  Oh- and people didn't even KNOW we had a videographer! She may secretly be a ninja...

  I could write forever and it still wouldn't do McKenzie justice. She is unbelievably sweet and talented. Her attention to detail and artistic creativity brought even random coworkers of mine to tears when they saw my wedding video on her blog! I still get chills when I watch her work on my wedding. Having a videographer to remember your special day is a must - as well as booking McKenzie. I booked her shortly after my engagement when I saw her website - I had to have her! Her style was perfect, and her video quality is the best in the business.
  
  Even though I don't mind being in front of the camera, I was a little concerned that my bridesmaids (who can be shy) would be uncomfortable being filmed all day. But McKenzie and her partner were so candid that my shyest bridesmaid told me she completely forgot that they were there!   I could write forever and it still wouldn't do McKenzie justice. She is unbelievably sweet and talented. Her attention to detail and artistic creativity brought even random coworkers of mine to tears when they saw my wedding video on her blog! I still get chills when I watch her work on my wedding. Having a videographer to remember your special day is a must - as well as booking McKenzie. I booked her shortly after my engagement when I saw her website - I had to have her! Her style was perfect, and her video quality is the best in the business.
  
  Even though I don't mind being in front of the camera, I was a little concerned that my bridesmaids (who can be shy) would be uncomfortable being filmed all day. But McKenzie and her partner were so candid that my shyest bridesmaid told me she completely forgot that they were there!   McKenzie helped us to capture all the memories we might have missed without her there for our big day! She and her assistant were difficult to spot throughout the night as they blended in with the crowd, but the footage they captured truly tells the story of our special day. Although we've only seen the preview so far, we are so impressed by McKenzie's attention to detail, great storytelling talent and fantastic eye. She and our photographer worked so well together (they had worked together once before)--something we hadn't considered but realize now was very important! She was also attentive to all the details in advance, sent us a thoughtful questionnaire to be sure she would capture everything important to us, and was a sweet, kind person who we were happy to have as part of our day.

  The wedding video has become a fixture of the modern wedding. We've all seen the previews on Facebook / social media. Some give you a feel for the wedding and how it looked, but very few give you a feel for the couple and the emotion involved.
  
  My wife and I knew immediately after meeting McKenzie that she was so very talented and that she shared our concerns and hopes from a wedding video. She was very comforting, friendly, and professional both on all items leading up to the wedding and especially so on day-of. Our hunch to go with her paid off... what came of her capturing our wedding was something that blew us away. Her sneak-peak video was a hit with our friends and family when we shared it with them. We recently received our full video(s) and it was an experience we weren't prepared for. She asked us if we had any background music input and we just let her run with it. She absolutely nailed it. On a lazy weekend afternoone, we quickly ripped open her package, and were brought back to the rush of feelings we experienced. You lose yourself in the moment... with her video we were able to step back and re-live every detail. We then were able to share it over Thanksgiving weekend with our family as a whole and it was nothing short of spectacular to see people's faces light up as they saw themselves celebrating with us. A few tears were shed of course but only because the emotion we worked so hard on representing was perfectly captured by McKenzie.

  McKenzie is so lovely and talented. She will take care of everything -- answer all your questions promptly, work seamlessly with your other vendors, and then show up on the day of the event and do her thing without you ever knowing she's there. I was amazed at how quickly she sent along our wedding preview video, and I've been playing it on repeat ever since.

  I was attracted to her website and loved the quality of videos she had in her gallery. When I first met her, I knew I wanted her to capture my wedding and I hired her and I couldn't be happier. She is a delightful person and it was fun to work with her! I can't wait to watch the finished product!

  Love her!!! McKenzie from the start was very quick to respond and did not disappoint. We just received our wedding video preview, I think I already watched it at least 100 times today...the quality is amazing and the way her and her team put the clips together and matched just the right background song is amazing. During the wedding itself, McKenzie and her 2 assistants were practically invisible! Their cameras are hand held and small so they were not in anybody's way at all. She is very friendly and professional and I also liked that she didn't try to "nickel and dime" us, you just pick a package and it includes everything you need, very simple and straight forward, unlike some others I've come across in my long search of videographers...I can't wait for the final product!

  McKenzie filmed my wedding on 2/16/13. Videography was very important to me while planning my wedding. It was probably the part I researched most. I came across McKenzie's name in (201) Bride magazine under a featured wedding. Once I looked up her blog, I probably watched all of her wedding video previews! I absolutely loved her work and was so excited that she was able to film my wedding.
  
  From the moment we met, we knew we had to book her. McKenzie is super sweet and not to mention TALENTED! She is very very professional and takes the time to find out what is important to the couple. Her responsiveness to my countless emails was extremely fast. She went over all my questions and was very thorough with her questionnaire for us. Her filming style is completely unobtrusive and you will barely even know she is there. Even though she is not in your face she captures every moment perfectly - all on a tiny unseen camera! This was very important to me because I didn't want my guests to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Even the bridal party didn't know McKenzie and John were filming!

  McKenzie is fantastic!! We received our DVD two months after our wedding and were able to re-live the experience yet again. Her music selection is so tasteful and she stays focused and cool throughout the day. Highly highly recommended!!!

  We absolutely love McKenzie and her team! She is the nicest, sweetest person we had help us the day of our wedding. It was truly a joy to have her there. Her work is amazing and speaks for itself. We researched a bunch of videographers/cinematographers for our day and nothing came close her work. The music selection is always amazing, the edited cuts are always flawless and well timed and she captures the essence of your day. That is what it is really about... to look back and remember your best times together with your spouse and smile. McKenzie gives that to you. There's no other way to go! :)

  AMAZING! From Day 1 McKenzie applied herself to my wedding always being responsive, helpful, and adding her creativity. Wedding Day she arrived and I honestly forgot she was there. Her team followed us capturing everything. A week after the wedding we received our 3 min highlight reel, and I haven't stopped watching it and crying with joy. Her 2 minute preview of my wedding day was similar to a movie trailer! Every scene perfectly synchronized to gorgeous music and artistically assembled to tell the Wedding Day Story. The look she captured, on my husband’s face during the reveal of the dress, was absolutely priceless. Her work couldn’t have been more perfect. I’ve watched the movie over and over, and I cannot wait to watch it many more times in the years to come!
