The food from Maudie's was incredible! This is a fantastic choice for anyone who loves tex-mex. It also provides a great range of food for people with gluten allergies or for vegetarian guests. The service was amazing and we had no issues. You can't go wrong using Maudie's to cater your wedding!

We used Maudie’s as the full-service caterer and bartender for our rehearsal dinner, which was at our wedding venue. The Maudie’s team was super nice and friendly throughout the process and made it really easy for us. Most importantly, the food tasted great and our rehearsal dinner was a success! We would highly recommend Maudie’s catering services and will continue to visit and enjoy their restaurants as well.

Maudie’s is one of our favorite local Tex-Mex restaurants, so we were happy to be able to book them as our wedding caterer. The menu was easily customizable and well-priced. We had to reschedule our wedding at the last minute due to Covid, and we were Maudie’s first event after the city began reopening. They were very flexible and had great ideas about various changes we could make to increase safety, and overall really wonderful to work with. Not to mention the food is great!!

I LOVE Mexican food so having queso at my wedding was a no brainer. We were traveling from Dallas to Austin for our wedding and Maudie’s made everything so easy. They worked with our venue (Hummingbird House) often and had great advice about where to set things up and what extras we needed to consider for the ceremony and reception. Laila was the catering director we worked with and she accommodated a Sunday morning walk through for us, which was so kind! She was responsive and super easy going. Not only was the food amazing, but they offer so many extras like linens and bartending services. Speaking of the bartenders, The lady at the bar near the dance floor saw me running to the large fans during band breaks and she provided me with an ice towel to help cool me down. It was so unbelievably kind and thoughtful and speaks volumes to the character of people Maudie’s hires to work such an important day. I just can’t say enough about the people who served my closest friends and family. The guests loved the food and it was so reasonably priced.

If you love Tex-mex and want great service this is definitely the best choice all around.

I am so glad that we selected Maudie's as our caterer. Maudie's was very accommodating during the planning process and really helped me make sure that everything was well planned. At the reception, they made sure that everything ran smoothly and that my husband and I had food at our table as soon as we finished our first dance. They kept the tables clear all night and the food was great! They even made sure that we had food and cake in our bridal suite (on property at our venue) at the end of the night and that all extra food and cake went with the bridal party. We could not have asked for a smoother catering experience!

Maudie’s was perfect - they made the catering for our wedding so easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for more. We had them serve our food (delish fajitas for dinner, with chips & queso for apps), and used their bartenders to serve our alcohol as well.

So many of our guests made it a point to tell us how friendly and funny our servers & bartenders were, and how amazing the food was. A few even told us it was the best food they ever ate at a wedding (score!).

The catering team at Maudie’s was also so communitiave and responsive throughout our time working with them. And they’re super affordable to boot! So much bang for your buck. Would highly recommend their catering services for your wedding / event!!!

I can’t recommend Maudie’s enough as a caterer for your wedding! They went over and above what I expected from a restaurant catering company. First off, they gave us a gift card to come to restaurant and test out the potential menu items. We decided on the mixed Fajitas, which were a huge hit at the wedding! All the food is delicious TexMex, great after an afternoon of drinks. The tortilla chips and salsa were great too. They also provide gluten free options at a very reasonable cost. In addition to great food, the service was phenomenal. We had a small budget and were DIYing everything else at the wedding. We organized our own appetizers, wine and beer from Costco and mixed up the Bride & Groom drinks ourselves in a serving pitcher. Maudie’s were more than happy to help organize items they didn’t cook, setting up our appetizer spread, handing out water bottles we had customized and their bartenders served all of our BYO drinks. They supplied all the ice, fixings and cups. At the end of they night they even took over cutting our cake for us and handing out everything. I had very little knowledge of what to request from a catering company and Maya and Laila were great at making sure I knew all available options and covering all the bases. They did a spectacular job at cleaning the venue after and working with our venue that didn’t have a dumpster. The servers & bartender were so pleasant and friendly, making sure we (Bride & Groom) never went without a drink in our hand and bringing the buffet items directly to our sweetheart table. We provided very little direction and they made our wedding go off without a hitch! Honestly, if you are looking at catering and have a tight budget, the team at Maudie’s is great to work with. I bet they would have done a fantastic job at providing the appetizers and booze themselves too.

We used Maudie's to do the food for our son's rehearsal dinner. We had a miscommunication glitch in that we thought we had the date reserved with Maudie's catering. It turns out that we did not but Laila offered to give us and the restaurant manager guidance at our favorite Maudie's assistance. We ordered the food for 44 people through the Maudie's, Too and they did an incredible job. Not only was the food delicious, they added a lot of extras such as serving utensils, fresh cut limes, bowls, etc. We offered a fajita nacho bar, enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, queso, pico, fresh chips and salsa. We were even able to purchase their delicious margarita mix for the margarita machine. We added good tequila and triple sec. Voila! We couldn't have been happier with Maudie's.

Maudie's was super easy to work with and VERY affordable! We love their food, so it was an easy choice. They were very accommodating and pleasant.

My husband and I really looked around for catering options, and many of the more traditional caterers were just not in our budget. We've also been to Austin weddings where the in-house caterer was used, and I see no reason to serve guests cold asparagus and rubbery chicken when there are so many great restaurants available. We decided on Maudie's because it would give out-of-town guests a local Austin meal, their pricing was really reasonable and included everything from plates and forks and napkins to the tables and chafing dishes they served the food on. They also included a bartender, but allowed him to serve alcohol we provided so we could save money.

The servers also helped serve cake when dinner was over, even though they were not hired to do that, since there was still some time left on their contract. They were all polite, professional, and pleasant. Everyone raved about the food (I can't speak to that-- apparently the bride and groom having no time to eat at their own wedding thing is true!).

Their catering manager, Laila, was a dream to work with. My credit card was locked down for my honeymoon because we were abroad, so when she tried to run the card for the balance it wouldn't go through. She sent me an email, and I responded explaining the situation, and Laila was totally chill about it. I told her our return date and she just ran the card when we got back.

I basically just hired them, told them what I wanted, made a deposit, and they showed up and made it happen. It was the least stressful thing about my wedding.
