I don’t know where to begin! My experience with Alison, owner of Masterfully Planned, was everything I could have hoped for and more. Besides being completely awesome to work with she is so talented at what she does. Through the entire wedding planning process, I thought I was on top of things, but Alison was always 10 steps ahead of me. She had everything covered and more. Alison instantly put me at ease, with her calming presence, yet always very focused. I had 100% confidence in Alison and she didn’t let me down. The time and commitment she put into our wedding was evident on my wedding day. She is someone who goes the extra mile, and will make your day as perfect as it can possibly be. I wouldn't even know where to begin to express how incredible Alison from Masterfully Planned is at her job. We hired her for the partial planning service, but I feel she went above and beyond the duties of a "partial planner". She only does a certain number of events per month. This was important to me because I wanted to feel like I had a planner that was going to give my event her full attention in the weeks leading up to the wedding. From day one, she made an effort to get to know my fiancee and me in order to help us create our dream wedding. Half way into our engagement we made the move from Boston to San Francisco, all while planning our wedding Charleston. Alison eased all my concerns and allowed my to enjoy the wedding planning process as well as deal with a major move.

Through out the planning process, Alison not only answered all of my calls and emails promptly, but also those of my father, who had countless logistical and layout questions leading up the the wedding. Her relationships and experience with local vendors was essential to having out wedding day run smoothly. I knew on that day my family, my husband and I could relax and enjoy ourselves while Alison and her team handled all the details.

When I started planning our wedding, I could not have even imagined that it would be as perfect as it was. Alison played a huge role in making that day flawless and she exceeded my expectations through out the process. I know there are a lot of wedding planners in Charleston, but Masterfully Planned is, in my opinion, the best. Anyone who is lucky enough to work with Alison and her team is sure to have an incredible event.

Alison and the whole team from Masterfully Planned were amazing!! As professional benefit auctioneers we have been to hundreds of events all over the country, and we all agreed that this was top notch. Masterfully Planned understood the mission of the evening and did everything so that it was highlighted and accentuated. From the layout of the room, to the centerpieces, to the ambiance, it was spot on. The theme carried through all spaces, but was not overdone. People ohhhhd and ahhhhd at the beautiful space they we in. Alison was on top, if not anticipatory, of all possible issues. The timeline was perfect and held to, and there was a go to person for all concerns. It was a sincere pleasure to work with Alison and Masterfully Planned, they were all so courteous and wonderfully helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Several years ago I was a guest at a wedding planned by Alison McMaster. I was so thrilled with everything at the party - from the decor to the food to the way she pampered the bride - that I asked her to plan our 40th anniversary party. Since then, we've hired Masterfully Planned to coordinate many events which included our yearly Halloween party that has grown to around 400 guests and is a huge event on the island where we live! People frequently stop our friends and ask how they can get on the guest list!! We love Alison and working with her has truly been a pleasure.

We had Alison, the owner of Masterfully Planned, as the planner for our daughter's wedding at Magnolia Plantation 4/24/2015. Planning a wedding from afar (no one attending the wedding was from Charleston) can be a daunting task. Alison made it easy. Her ability to organize, to remain on top of everything, and most of all to remain patient with a father who wants everything to be perfect for his daughter, is truly remarkable. She has excellent relationships with the major vendors, and expertly advocates for her clients. As the date approached, it became readily apparent to us that we had nothing to worry about. By the time that the day had arrived, I was totally calm and without any anxiety because I knew that the management of the event was in the best of hands. I was able to relax and enjoy the most special day in my daughter's life. Every guest there commented on how perfect an event it was, and this result is in large part due to Masterfully Planned.

Alison never seemed impatient or annoyed by my sometimes frequent emails. Every question or concern that I had, she had already addressed, or had the perfect solution. Naomi Russell, her assistant on the day of the event, was no less professional and accomplished. As a team they are simply unbeatable in my opinion. The entire day was absolutely perfect in every way, even the weather was perfect, and I am beginning to think that they may have arranged that somehow! Always smiling, and willing to help in any way possible, Alison and Naomi were a total joy.

I know that there are many, many wedding planners in Charleston, and I am sure that there are many who are very, very good. However, I cannot imagine that there are any who are better than Alison. Anyone who is planning a wedding or other event in Charleston cannot go wrong with Masterfully Planned. I give them my highest recommendation without reservation.

Allison made our day seamless and wonderful. At first I felt we didn't need a planner and my mom insisted, thankfully! We were planning our wedding in Charleston, SC and we currently live in San Francisco, CA while my folks are in Virginia, not the easiest way to plan a large event when all parties are no where near the venue. I couldn't imagine not having her there to help, from the minute we contacted her she was on top of everything, thinking of things I never would have. The day of she was amazing, helped with every little detail from corralling, which is not easy, my now husband when we needed to take a certain pic or actually sign our papers, to figuring out how to pin my dress, every time it came undone, to making sure we always had a drink in our hand to toast, every time I turned she was there. It was great. She made me calm and able to enjoy my day free of stress!

Masterfully Planned turned my dream wedding into a reality! Since Alison, the founder and lead event producer, has been in the business for so long, she knew all the right questions to ask me. Masterfully Planned also knows all the vendors in Charleston and has the best connections. They booked the caterer, suggested photographers, recommended bands, hired a professional lighting crew, scheduled the rentals, picked out the flowers, put together welcome bags and delivered them, set all the appointments, and always kept me on track. Alison was there for me every step of the way. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. If I was indecisive about something, she helped me make a choice. She did everything I asked for and more! I was as involved in the planning as I wanted to be and if I wanted her to take over, she would. I trusted her 100%. She knew exactly how I wanted my wedding to feel and look for my guest.
Our wedding was outside on the Charleston Harbor in May so I knew that weather could become a factor. Alison had to make a quick, executive decision to add a second tent and bring in several heaters because of the rain and heavy wind. If I didn’t have Alison, my guests would have been wet and cold but she saved the day. She did a fantastic job and I could not have asked for a better person to plan my wedding. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, super fun, and completely stress-free! Masterfully Planned definitely lives up to their name!

Where do I begin! I met Alison through a great friend of mine, and my friend told me that I would be just amazed at what she is able to do. At first I was a little skeptical, because I met with a few planners who were considered around the area to be phenomenal "celebrity" planners, and they all had in THEIR minds what the best for MY wedding. I will quote one who said, "I know it's your wedding, but it's my party." wow! But Alison was the best breath of fresh of air a bride and groom could ask for! Alison completely blew me away! She was so incredible, and listened intently to my fiancee and I, and took all of our energy and thoughts in. She honestly made the best days of our lives even MORE AMAZING with all of her awesome ideas, incredible vendors (she knows THE BEST and NICEST people!!), and seamless execution. She is honestly the most professional event planner I have ever come across. My family just fell in love with her as did my husband's. She can diffuse any situation.. I honestly felt like I didn't have to worry about a thing, as she and her team were 5 steps ahead of everything. I can't rave enough about Alison and Masterfully Planned. My husband Kurt and I can't possibly conceive what we do without her!! If you are even THINKING about getting married in the Boston area, do yourself the best service you could do, and hire Alison and her team if she is available. She made the best time of my life so joyful, easy, and really fulfilling by taking so much off our plates, and letting us just ENJOY!

As an event planner myself I was looking for someone to step into the role so I could truly be the mother-of-bride on the day of my daughter's wedding. Alison did just that. I put the entire day in her hands and I truly can say every detail was handled superbly and just the way we wanted it.
