As the Director of Sales & Events at a Midcoast Maine wedding venue, I had the pleasure of working with Bonnie & Jon last year when one of our couples hired them. As fellow wedding vendors they were both wonderful professionals to work with, but the way they worked together as a team was really something special...they seemed to have an unspoken communication and moved quietly though the wedding day in such a way as to always be on the periphery and never taking away from the lived experience of the couple or their guests. I was truly impressed with their manner of working. It only got better from there... To say that I was blown away by the wedding video they created would be an understatement. You simply have to watch some of their work yourself to experience the true technical skill AND ART that goes into their creations! They way they seamlessly blend the highlight moments from throughout the day while interspersing spoken sections with beautiful music is truly out of this world.

Watching their posts and videos through the months really gave me an insight into who they are as people, and let me tell you, THEY ARE HILARIOUS! They have a phenomenal sense of humor and a unique way of viewing life - they truly appreciate the small seemingly insignificant moments and know how to perfectly capture them, showing us all that there really are no small moments if you're really paying attention ;)

So, of course when it came time to plan my daughter's wedding in September, we immediately knew who we wanted to book for their videographer, and we were so excited that they were available on our date! We just watched the full-length video last weekend, and I was amazed by how sharp the images were as well as how clear all of audio was - you could hear every word! The music was perfectly timed. The drone footage was absolutely incredible. Tears were flowing afresh as we relived those precious moments while noticing so many small details we had been oblivious to in those emotional real time experiences. We will ABSOLUTLEY CHERISH this video for the rest of our lives!

So, if you want a few video snapshots of your wedding, ask your Uncle Joe to whip out his phone and "make sure he gets the I do's".

The best decision we made. Bonnie and Jon are not only incredible artists, but amazing, funny, kind, thoughtful people, which is SO important on your wedding day! So many wedding films we've seen are cheesy and dare I say, cringe, so we searched high and low to find someone who would capture our day authentically. Bonnie and Jon did that and more, turning our wedding weekend into a beautiful, genuinely funny, soulful film we can rewatch forever. They care deeply about their work, and put a ton of effort into getting to know the couples they work with. They are professionals, and, a total blast to be around. Do not hesitate. Book them immediately!!!

We instantly fell in love with Bonnie and Jon’s work and knew we would never find a better photo and video team. Once we saw the personality and intentionality they put behind capturing a couple’s wedding we were over the moon (pun intended) excited to see how they would tell our story. Not only did they deliver on amazing quality and story-telling, but Bonnie and Jon were the sweetest and most easy going to work with. Our day never felt interrupted or intruded on. Having had the chance to get to know them through wedding planning and our engagement shoot, it was truly just like they were part of all our family and friends. Once we watched our wedding video, we kept re-watching it, amazed at how we could never verbalize what we specifically wanted, but they entirely delivered. It has been nearly a year since our wedding and we can’t stop looking at our photos and rewatching our videos. You can be confident that the investment you are making is undoubtedly worth it.

It was such an easy decision from the beginning to work with Mars and The Moon because of how beautiful their work is, and how thoughtful they are as people. They truly made us feel at ease during a process that was less-than-so. We are amazed by how the photos turned out and can't stop going through them. We're excited that we are having this boat photo professionally framed, as it's so unique and stunning and just DOPE! Working with the Mars and The Moon team was truly out-of-this-world! We loved their work so much so that we actually moved our wedding weekend by a week to ensure they were available. Not only are they creatively super talented, but they are also incredibly kind and funny people who have become our friends through this journey. Before the wedding, they do a thorough job trying to understand the couple’s vibe and what’s important to them in their wedding photo + film. IMO, it is a big financial investment but Bon & Jon are absolutely worth it. They bend backwards (sometimes LITERALLY) to make sure those special moments are captured. We had a Desi/American fusion wedding with two wedding events and a lot of moving parts but the Bon/Jon team made sure we were feeling good, and timelines were on track. After the wedding, they did an awesome job communicating when we would receive our sneak peaks/trailer/full gallery/films. Overall, we are so happy they were a part of our wedding celebration!!! Cannot recommend them enough :)

Words cannot explain what a huge fan I am of Bonnie and Jon. As we began planning our wedding, we knew we would need a photographer and videographer that understood the assignment. We were not looking to have a day filled with pauses and photo breaks, but rather an authentic, vibrant, natural day that happened to have incredible moments captured organically. If I weren’t (LITERALLY SO) excited about Bonnie and Jon being there as guests, I would have forgotten they were there entirely as they were so non-invasive and professional. Wow! We are OVERWHELMINGLY happy with the entire process of working with Bonnie at Mars and the Moon Films. I am SO impressed with our highlight reel - absolutely love it. My wife and I knew we would like our video based on the prior videos we saw online, but I was happier with the outcome than I could have expected. It is perfectly “us” and captures everything we could have asked for and more. I love the style and creativity, the music is perfect, and it is definitely tailored to our personalities. Plus the film made us, our family, and even our friends laugh and cry and smile.

And, we enjoyed working with them from pre-booking to post-wedding. Bonnie was patient, professional, and *fun* to work and chat with. There was a perfect balance of professionalism but also quirky fun that we enjoyed right from the start. She answered *lots* of questions from me and asked all the right questions of us - I think this was essential to be able to tailor our video to our unique personalities with her awesome style and touch.

Even though our wedding was in Florida, and Bonnie is now out of New England, Bonnie was available, responsive, and always on top of things. Plus, Jamie and the Mars and Moon on-site filming team were amazing. They were professional but fun; we could tell that they were happy to be there. They made things like getting mic’d up and extra shots seamless and easy. They got all the right shots, made us feel comfortable (so important!), and never got in the way.
