Jill married us on 6/5/2021. When looking for an officiant, we didn't want to ask a family member or friend who we'd rather have focused on enjoying the day and the ceremony. We wanted our ceremony to be short, sweet, and meaningful but not religious or stuffy. When we met with Jill for the first time, we knew she was the perfect match. Jill took the time to get to know us, first over video chat (as our planning happened during COVID), then through thoughtful written questions, and finally we were able to meet in person. Yes, there was a little homework. It was totally worth it, Jill was able to share the things that make us right for each other and preview what our marriage will be like for our friends and family. She took every request we had and worked it in flawlessly, even that she reference The Princess Bride. Jill had our guests laughing and crying (but only a little). We got so many compliments on the ceremony and the work she put into it. If you're looking for someone who will take your wedding and your marriage seriously, who will treat you with love and kindness, and who will make ceremony planning fun and easy, look no further.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
For my wife and I, our wedding was our big day-- but Jill definitely tried to steal the limelight as all the guests (and vendors) were completely blown away by how great the ceremony was, it was the #1 thing people complimented. And my wife and I agree, Jill put together a ceremony that was better than we ever imagined. We wanted something vulnerable and funny, and she was able to provide exactly that. She was extremely attentive to all of our wants and was able to craft a ceremony that captured our story and love.
In addition to all of the wonderful things about the ceremony, Jill is a wonderful person; thoughtful, timely, diligent, clear. She communicated with vendors and really took control of the entire process. She was responsive and we never worried about her ability to deliver on exactly what she said.
In the end, we are so thankful that we went with Jill and she is now a part of our beautiful story. We will always be honored by how much effort she put into our day and we don't have any words to really capture our gratitude.

Best officiant in the world!
I knew we would hire Jill the moment we got off our first call. She is so easy to talk to, a great listener & story teller, and she has a great energy to her all around! She was so amazing at engaging our guests. She had all of us laughing, smiling, and crying. Our guests thought we had been friends for years with the way she put our story together, so personal and heart felt. We wanted someone that we would make us feel comfortable in front of so many people and Jill was just that! She is such a great public speaker and truly great at what she does. Would highly recommend her to anyone/everyone we know!

"Best Ceremony Ever" was our guest feedback!
Before we get to the ceremony piece, it's important to note that Jill of "Mary Unordinary" was on top of everything and not once were we worried about her communication and instructions. Clearly she's been doing this a while and we were in very very good hands prior to the wedding!
We are non-religious and really wanted something light-hearted and fun for our wedding day. Boy did Jill deliver! We laughed, we teared, it was a perfect mix of telling our story, laughing about who we are together and yet still delivering sentimental, poignant words/vows to each other in front of our guests.
In the end, it was exactly what we wanted and many of our guests told us (to paraphrase) that it was the best ceremony they'd ever seen.
Would highly recommend Mary Unordinary if you're looking for a less traditional, more modern and fun ceremony that will generate a wonderful balance of laughter and tears!

Perfection!
I cannot even begin to thank Jill enough for the incredible ceremony. It was FANTASTIC and the amount of people (probably EVERYONE) commenting on her officiating was amazing. She truly puts her heart and soul into this and it shows. Everyone was beyond impressed and LOVED the entire ceremony. If there was a better word for perfection, it still wouldn't do it justice. She makes every effort to get to know us individually and as a couple. She was able to articulate our love story in a manner that felt like "us" even when most of our life was spent on the other coast! Jill orchestrated the most perfect ceremony and gave us the most perfect day for our marriage.

Best part of our wedding!
Jill tied with the food for being the best part of our wedding. Hands down, our guests commented on the food and our ceremony - specifically how Jill did such an amazing job. Jill was very professional from the moment we reached out for more information about her services to the wedding say itself. If you are looking for an officiant that is going to take the time to get to know you, make your wedding feel personal, and most of all fun, I would absolutely in a heartbeat recommend Jill.

Absolutely amazing!
Jill was phenomenal and exactly what we were looking for! My husband and I come from different religious backgrounds, so we wanted to pick an officiant that was neutral, but we also wanted to make our ceremony light and funny. Jill brought all of that. She took the time to get to know us and highlighted so many wonderful parts from our homework in our ceremony that made it even more touching and personal. She made a couple of jokes which is exactly what we wanted after everyone has been cooped up in COVID. She even gave us good advice about marriage! Out of all of our vendors, she nailed it with her part!

Personal Approach to Ceremony
Nikki and Jill were amazing to work with! They were so on top of it and professional but also take the time to get to know you, were fun and down to earth. Nikki was our officiant for our ceremony and she crafted an amazing personalized ceremony which was important to me and my now husband. She had our guests laughing and learning things about us that even they didn’t know. It was everything we wanted.
Also, highly suggest not reading the ceremony beforehand. It made the ceremony even more fun and takes the pressure off as all eyes are on you because you want to know what she is going to say next!

Incredible personalized ceremony - many compliments!
When planning our micro wedding for July, we knew we wanted a more personalized and interesting ceremony than the standard traditional weddings: something that would really help us connect with our friends and family in a memorable ceremony. After our initial video call, we clicked with Jill and knew she was the one. She sent us some homework to complete (some together, some separately), and took an hour over coffee to ask some more questions and get to know us better. We were stunned at how well Jill was able to grab those details and, through her impressive creative writing skills, craft a super personalized ceremony. She did an impressive job weaving together details of our lives to tell a compelling story about our relationship in a way that our guests found engaging and fun. We got many compliments on how well the ceremony went, and some thought for sure Jill was a personal friend given how well she seemed to know us! We're super pleased to have chosen Jill for this once in a lifetime experience, and now we'll have something memorable to cherish forever. We highly recommend her!

Jill was wonderful to work with and was very devoted to telling our love story.
Jill was such a joy to work with and was very supportive during the planning process. I didn't have to shop around for other officiants because I was so impressed by Jill's website and how she explains her methods in telling your love story. We decided to go into it blind and not to read what she came up with for our ceremony and we were so glad! She told our story so perfectly and even made the crowd laugh (and I'm sure cry) as she went on to the end. So many of our guests complimented us on our awesome officiant! We felt so grateful that we found her and we highly recommend her!
