Market Hall is a historic wedding venue located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This beautiful venue is the perfect place to host your wedding ceremony and reception. We are located in City Market, just five blocks from the Capitol and across from the newly renovated Moore's Square Park. We're just minutes away from three major hotels, and have a variety of parking options.
Facilities and Capacity
Market Hall can accommodate up to 300 seated guests in our stylish event space. Offering a blend of modern elegance with industrial-chic elements such as exposed brick, metal beams, and wood, it's the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding. Two separate rooms are available for your ceremony and reception, and there's also a covered patio for an indoor-outdoor feel. You can begin your day in the two fully-equipped dressing suites, where you can enjoy lunch, wine, and beer.
Services Offered
Market Hall can provide everything you need to bring your dream day to life, including tables, black Chiavari chairs, china, glassware, and silverware. You'll be able to create your own custom floor plan using seating software to ensure everything is perfect. A range of decor items will also be provided, including indoor and outdoor market lights, LED uplights, chiffon draping, a wooden ceremony backdrop, and more. For your convenience, the staff will take care of setup and breakdown. Catering services are available, as well as an open bar. The venue is wheelchair accessible to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests.

Adam joined City Market in 2019 with over 20 years of experience in restaurants and hospitality; including managing at Winston’s Grille, starting Clouds Brewing with a long time friend, and opening High Horse here in City Market. Throughout his time in the hospitality industry, Adam’s top priority has always been creating amazing guest experiences. His role here is no different as he leads the Market Hall team to create our client’s dream events. While originally from the mid-west, Adam now considers himself from Raleigh, and is an avid Carolina Hurricanes fan. He and his wife have been foster parents since 2018, and when not at work you can find him in his backyard grilling dinner for his wife and three daughters.

Kristen Leen joined Market Hall in 2018 to rebrand the previous two venues, 214 Martin & Market Hall in one cohesive space. Most recently she has renovated our newest venue, The Grove! She is a Certified Wedding Planner and has over 10 years of experience in the Wedding & Events Industry. Kristen has served 3 years on the International Live Events Association Board. She enjoys educating clients about the event industry and connecting them with a great team of event professionals who will bring their vision to life! She loves providing a full service experience at Market Hall so our guests can relax and enjoy leaving the details to our team of event professionals! Kristen previously lived in England which is where she fell in love with historic venues. Now she lives in Raleigh with her husband, son and two dogs, Dexter and Lincoln.

Chris joined Market Hall in 2018 and brought with him over 39 years of hospitality experience. As the son of an American father and a Vietnamese mother, Chris grew up in a two-cuisine household with boisterous gatherings at dinner time. From an early age he knew what he wanted to do, and after a stint in college, he hit the road with friends, perfecting his craft throughout the country. During this experience and in his upbringing, he was introduced to many different ingredients, textures and tastes. Chris has dedicated his time and efforts to cooking, sourcing out the premier ingredients and understanding the business of food. His favorite part of working at Market Hall is the history of the space and the team he gets to work with on a daily basis. Chris enjoys the variety of each event and the opportunity to play a vital role in a client’s big day.

My team have worked over 20 events at Market Hall this year and it is one of our favorite Venues in Downtown Raleigh. It is a blank slate and brides get to come in and make it uniquely their own. Location is prime, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, surrounded by Cobblestone streets. No better photo options around. The venue comes with tables and chairs, an on site manager, beautiful bridal suite and you have the flexibility of bringing in your own Caterer, all for a very reasonable fee for such a great location. The staff are knowledgeable, great customer service and response time, and are great team members to the wedding community. We highly endorse this Venue for weddings and events.

One of our favorite hip downtown venues! These folks are great to work with, the space is completely flexible and can become anything you envision.

I have been to several events in the venue. The staff is easy to work with and very accommodating.
