I found my wedding dress here. It was not traditional in that I wanted color and a high low design. Maria Christine's had no problem finding me my perfect dress!!! I'm so thankful that she was very personable and that I didn't have to break the bank to own it!! Highly recommend for anybody in the Hartford area looking for something different or even traditional!!!

Unlike the "dress factory" stores, Maria Christine's gives you a much more personalized experience. On my first trip, Mary opened early to let me try on dresses and she got me into more dresses in that one trip than any other store. I felt very comfortable making such a big purchase here and I'm very glad I did! My dress was gorgeous and her prices can't be beat! We also ordered our tuxes here and the guys looked great.

Wonderful! I worked with Mary to get 2 dresses, 1 wedding dress and 1 reception dress (our wedding and reception where on 2 different days), plus 5 brides maids dresses and I wanted it done in one day. And we did it! It was so easy, I found both my dresses no problem and at a great price. We wanted our bridal party to wear teal and Mary had a line that came in just the right color and each bridesmaid got to pick a dress in this line that suited them perfectly, each girl settled on a different dress and they all looked fantastic! Maria Christine's was my first and last stop. And Mary and the staff where very helpful through the whole process. Everyone looked stunning the day of the wedding, and I received so many complaints on both of my dresses. And most importantly my husband was amazed when he saw me for the first time at our wedding, thought the dress was perfect and I looked beautiful :) I would recommend Maria Christine's to everyone!!

I needed a bridesmaid dress super-extra-mega-rushed (was ordering 2 weeks before the wedding!) and I called at least 10 stores, all of which said it would be "impossible" to get. At Maria Christine's, however, Mary said, "No problem!" and somehow managed to work with me and Alfred Angelo to get me the dress I needed exactly when I needed it. It was PERFECT, and it was such a relief to not be the reason my friend's wedding plans were all messed up!!! I highly recommend Mary and Maria Christine's! They get things HANDLED! :D

Mary and staff are wonderful! I had the best experience - I went in with a picture of what I wanted and she had it! I said yes to the dress in under 4 minutes! :) She was very helpful and everything looked beautiful. Always pleasant and professional - answered any and all questions. Mary was amazing! She stayed with me for hours when I tried on dress after dress and helped me pick my dream gown (appropriate for my venue)! My experience with the salon was amazing and Mary and her staff helped to make my day beautiful and unforgettable!

I came to Maria Christine's with a sample gown that I'd had altered in another state. I was unhappy with the way the bodice was fitting me, and I wanted to have it adjusted. Mary agreed to see me starting about 3.5 months out from my wedding date, and we determined that she would need to reverse nearly all of the previous alterations and start from scratch. I had 4 or 5 fittings with Mary over the course of this process, and she worked miracles on my silk chiffon gown which was stretched, warped and even torn in some places from the previous set of alterations. She fit the dress perfectly to my body and never made me feel insecure. And to top it all off, she charged us HALF what I was expecting for the amount of time she'd put into it. I can't recommend her enough for bridal alterations!!

Maria Christine's is a small wedding boutique in Torrington, CT. It is a family run business and has a large selection of dresses. I absolutely loved my dress and it was an amazing value for the price!! I would definitely go there again!

We worked mostly with Mary. The price of the dress was great and we did not have to pay for any alterations for our attire (which we thought was fair because our entire family and wedding party received their wedding attire from the store).

The seamstresses were always polite and agreeable, however our family and wedding party did not have pleasant experiences with the owner. They were not happy with her service.

The store itself is very private and you don't feel rushed, compared to larger stores.
