5 Star Wedding Venue!

Michael and the team at Mandarin Oriental DC are phenomenal! Everything is taken care of for you with efficiency and style. The hotel has plenty of luxury rooms for your guests to stay overnight so they don't have to travel after the wedding. As a photographer, it is so important to have a venue that understands weddings and handles all the logistics so the couple can enjoy their wedding day! Not only is the service 5 star but the hotel has plenty of stunning locations inside and out for gorgeous photo opportunities. I highly recommend hosting your wedding at the Mandarin Oriental DC so you can enjoy your wedding day!

amazing, more than I ever imagined

The wedding, the organization of it, was absolutely flawless. Every big and small detail, things we thought about, forgot to consider, and things we could not have imagined that they might matter – Michael and his team were absolutely on top of it all. The treatment we got, the wonderful staff they have (running of a ship like this -- completely flawless), personalized approach, helping tailor our wedding to our personalities. We really got a royal treatment. The presidential suite was like being in the Versailles for a few days. The luxury, the details, the stunning views, and the set up for unforgettable wedding pictures. Michael was on to of every detail during the preparation process and the day of the wedding. The food was outstanding; the location is unmatched; it was an easy choice!

Fantastic Wedding & Weekend

Michael Deltette (Director of Catering & Events) is very experienced and a delight to work with. He worked with Chef to create a superb menu for the reception and dinner. Our guests raved about how delicious all the food was. It's not always the case case when 300 meals are being served. The Grand Ballroom is a great venue for a large wedding. The ceremony in the Oriental Ballroom was beautiful. The staff at the hotel from the doormen, front desk staff to catering were all eager to please and provided excellent service to our guests and us throughout the weekend. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, which our guests appreciated. The garden was a perfect spot for wedding photos; as was the circle in front of the hotel with the Capitol as a backdrop. We had brunch for approximately 200 people the next morning and that too was delicious. I highly recommend Mandarin Oriental, DC.

Mandarin Oriental/Michael Deltette

I can’t imagine a more perfect venue than the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental for my Daughter’s Wedding reception. Everything from the planning stages to the conclusion were nothing less than spectacular. Almost every guest commented to us that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding reception and people gushed over the hotel and their staff. The best part of the Mandarin is with it you get Michael Deltette, Director of Catering and Events. From our first meeting with Michael, it was apparent that he truly listened to what my Daughter wanted and totally understood what her needs were and what was important to her. He guided us on every aspect of the planning and we always knew that he was keeping in mind what was important to us. He connected us with outside vendors, florists, photographers, hair stylists and limo services. When you mention Michael’s name, it is obvious he has total and complete respect in his field. Michael is like having a Guardian Angel in your corner. You know that you don’t have to worry about anything because before you can think it, he has it taken care of it. Michael is totally and completely exceptional and we would highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental and Michael.

Best wedding ever!!

Michael at the Mandarin was the reason we chose that venue! Working with him for about one year made us realize that we had made the perfect choice! There is attention given to every detail of service from valet greetings to turn down at night. The food is exceptional Every question one might have about their event is answered immediately. If I could, I would give Michael, The Mandarin, and everyone associated with the venue all 10s!!!

Nothing but Amazing!

Our experience with the Mandarin Oriental was truly wonderful. The minute we arrived to tour the venue we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Not only did the hotel exceed all of our expectations, but the event director Michael was one of the best benefits of the venue. His knowledge and connections in the wedding industry help make our wedding day perfect.

5-Star! A+, First Class Service at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, DC

My spouse and I felt so blessed to have our wedding hosted at Mandarin Oriental, DC. And we could not have asked for a better event coordinator, Michael Deltette (Director of Catering & Events) who was so "Ahhmaazzingg," I mean really, exceptionally AMAZING! I can’t imagine how my wedding would have been like without Michael there.

Michael made us feel very important and always his priority from day one until the last hour of the event. Putting a wedding together was really stressful for us. But with Michael’s experience and professionalism, he just knew what to do to make everything seamless. He was always available to provide advice and recommendations when needed and he’s never pushy to anything that we’re uncomfortable doing--small details that some of us notice and are grateful for. Also, you can tell how much he cared for our event because it showed on little things that he did--like fixing my wife’s dress just before she walked into the wedding reception. Our wedding was small and intimate, but we truly believe that our event felt elegant because of people like Michael and his supportive team who took care of us in every step of the way.

Everybody was accommodating, responsive and helpful. My spouse and I, together with our guests loved every bit about our Mandarin Oriental experience.

The best wedding venue in the DMV

In short, the Mandarin Oriental went above-and-beyond to execute a perfect wedding. The Mandarin shines in both experience and professionalism, leading off with the Director of Catering and Events, Michael Deltette. From Day 1, Michael and his team worked hard to ensure that our minds were at ease and that each of our requests (big and small) were addressed. On the actual day of our wedding, the entire hotel staff came together to ensure that from start to finish, nothing was overlooked. My wife and I highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental - you simply will not find a better venue in the DMV.

My wife and I love Michael Deltette and the Mandarin Oriental

After visiting over a dozen venues in Washington DC, we arrived at our final destination the Mandarin Oriental and were greeted by Michael Deltette (Director of Catering & Events). My wife and I instantly fell in love with the venue and Michael was the icing on the cake for us. His devotion to our big day was prioritized and let me tell you how much peace of mind that gives a Bride & Groom. There was never a single time where there was an unanswered question. As you can imagine the stress that comes along with wedding preparation this was very important to us. Complete 5 star service from beginning until end. As the day of the wedding approached it really allowed my Wife and I to focus on our big day. Once the day arrived, the Mandarin Oriental and Michael followed through with every promise. The way Michael handled every step of the way was exceptional. Just looking at him on his knees fixing my wife's dress before she walked into the reception showed me exactly how much he cared and the pride he took with his job. Most importantly he was never pushy and always made sure we were comfortable with every decision on our budget. I can't imagine there being someone in the business with his experience and work ethic. At least we weren't able to find anyone else when we took a look at the other venues. I highly recommend you considering the Mandarin Oriental as your venue, you will not be disappointed and it was money very well spent.
