Mallardee, aptly named for the ducks on the pond and ubiquitous chickadees on the property, is a 56-acre retreat which began as a small farm and hunting lodge on Brick Bat Rd- it's roadbed made of bricks formed from clay deposits along the old thoroughfare. The lane, lined with stunning pink crape myrtles, runs through a field where acres of jonquils bloom in the spring. You will see a cottage, barn, and English conservatory greenhouse before the lane descends through the woods beneath a tall oak grove covering a formal garden, a recreational pool house and the original home overlooking Pine Woods Pond. Inside, the chair rails and brass fittings and unique appointments reflect the attention to detail given by the current proprietor and the rich history of its previous owners.

Is not interested in being a venue
I contacted Kelly, and she really doesn’t want to do any type of large event. She charges $1500 for a site fee that will require the use of a tent. At this price point you do have a lot more economical and lovelier options.Sent on 07/10/2019
Mallardee is an amazing venue for weddings and other events! It's right on the water and away from the noise of traffic. Very quiet and relaxing. Great for a weekend getaway.
