Reviews of Main Event Mauzone
IT was for over 600 guests and every single guest felt like they were treated like royalty
It was perfection , it was done with love and care and every guest felt like royalty
food was fantastic and people cant stop talking about it , thanks forever and ever Sarah Marmorstein
Awesome food and service for wedding
Passable food but rude and difficult to work with
-Staff was pushy and rude, unprepared for the event and all seemed new and inexperienced. They fought with and were disrespectful to our other vendors. One staff member at the end of the night even tried to pick up a friend of ours.
-Food was good only if you stick with dishes they know and do regularly. (Vegetarian food was very disappointing)
- NO leftovers for bride and groom although specifically requested.
So Unprofessional
Wedding may 31 2026
Well, this couldn’t be further from our experience. Firstly, during the cocktail hour, we reiterated to Matt that we wanted pass out hors d'oeuvres brought to the Tisch room so the men could enjoy much of the food during this time. NOT ONE server entered this room with passed hors d'oeuvres so few of the men could enjoy the pass out appetizers. This was specifically important to us because the men participating in the Tisch were expected to remain there and we wanted them to have food available. This never happened. FOOD WASTED and only a fraction of our guests could partake in the passouts.
The next responsibility of Matt and Main Event catering was the first course to be served after the Chupah. The guests were on schedule(even early and entered the ballroom at 6:50PM. The plan was to serve the first course when they arrived while the Bride and Groom were in the Yichud room. The first plates didn’t start to be served until 7:10PM so people were standing around and didn’t have anything for 20 minutes and also caused huge lines at the bar. Then the Bride and Groom entered for first dance set at 7:20 so the last plates were just being served so the result was that many guests either barely touched their appetizer or never had the opportunity to eat it at all. After the dancing, the food was already cleared off. Again, we paid for food that was not eaten.
Our niece was among the last guests to receive her appetizer on the far side of the ballroom. She has since independently told us that she had only about one minute to eat before the bride and groom entered and everyone got up to dance. When she returned, her appetizer had already been cleared away.
Main course went smoothly.
Then on to desert: There was supposed to be a TO GO station by exit that was going to be put out at 9:30-the same time as the rest of the desert. Per the schedule, this was supposed to be immediately after the father/daughter dance and during the last dance session. Main event botched this up too! The TO GO went out at 9PM so people were leaving the wedding hall to get coffee, cookies and popcorn. I personally observed guests obtaining coffee, popcorn, cookies, and other items because they thought dessert had begun.
Even more concerning, staff began bringing out dessert pass-outs approximately two minutes before the parent speeches. We had a clearly communicated schedule that dessert was to be served after the parent speeches and after the father-daughter dance. Instead, servers began distributing desserts while we were trying to gather guests and prepare for the speeches. I literally had to instruct the servers to take the desserts back to the kitchen because we were moments away from beginning.
To summarize, Main Event completely botched this wedding and failed to deliver what was promised. We spent a lot of money on this event. We contacted Matt by email and had a subsequent phone call. He admitted to these errors and didn’t have much of an excuse except sorry. We told him sorry was not enough in this case and then disappeared and stopped returning e-mails and phone calls.- NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Unethical unfortunately
