Carly was the best officiant we could have asked for! My wife and I had to postpone our original wedding date due to the COVID pandemic, so we decided to go ahead and do a small local elopement, and have the big wedding celebration later on. We wanted to have the ceremony someplace a little more special than the courthouse, so we decided to find an officiant and do it at a local park. When we found Magical Weddings by Carly we knew we would be a perfect match! Carly was LGBTQIA+ friendly and a nerd/geek enthusiast like us! Carly was more than willing to help make the ceremony tailored to us. Carly helped us incorporate a hand-fasting, and was more than willing to help our nerd shine and integrate LOTR and Doctor Who references into the ceremony. From the moment we sought out Carly and chose them to be our officiant, we knew we had made the right choice. They provided us with options we had not considered and helped to make our wedding ceremony unique and memorable. We would never have thought to include a hand-fasting into our ceremony and could not be happier with the way it turned out. We heard so many compliments from our guests as to how lovely it was - despite the oppressive heat of the day! Magical Weddings by Carly was GREAT ! I messaged them a bit late but they were super nice and helpful! The day of; they were comfortable to talk to and they were great with the ceremony as well. Carly worked with us to make the perfect ceremony for our wedding. She stuck with us for two rounds of date changes due to Covid (thank you!) and she nailed our request for a “spiritual but not overly religious sounding” ceremony. My grandmother said she was blown away by how nice it was. Lovely working with her!

Carly was phenomenal! She couldn't be kinder and more flexible if she tried. Covid really threw everyone for a loop and trying to throw a wedding together in two months was interesting to say the least. We had first met Carly at the Rainbow Wedding Network in Raleigh. My wife and I liked her instantly and knew she would be high on our list of wedding officiants. We were worried that because it was such short notice that we would not be able to book her. However, she was able to squeeze us in between the other weddings she was working with. She was very openminded and we loved how enthusiastic she was to learn and incorporate our Halloween themes and my wife's Pagan beliefs into a spooktacular affair. Even though she had never done a wedding with some of the ceremonies we incorporated we knew we were in good hands. She was a joy to work with, very professional, but approachable and always willing to work with us. We were not able to have the "dream" wedding we originally planned but with the help of Carly it turned out even better. If you find yourself with the opportunity to work with Carly, take it!
