I feel incredibly blessed to have had Mac & B and Christine as our wedding planner, and even more blessed to call them a true friend for life and inspiration!

When vetting wedding planners, we were looking for someone who was flawless in their attention to detail with a vision and artistic gift that I do not have. Enter Mac & B. The first time we met with Christine and Carri I became absolutely infatuated, and over a year later I am still awe-inspired by them. I should share that I am not the type who had their wedding planned out from a young age and had no clue on where to start. Fortunately, none of that mattered with the expertise and hand holding through each and every step by Mac & B.

As someone who has a lot going on, Christine went above and beyond for us, taking away all of the stress that comes with the planning process. Fully trusting and being comfortable with your planner is so invaluable, which you will recognize immediately if you get the opportunity to work with Mac & B.

Guest experience is paramount, and was our number one priority. We can confidently say that the wedding exceeded all of our expectations and that of our guests - and we attribute this fully to Christine, Mac & B and the crème de la crème vendors they assembled. Christine, being as thoughtful as she is and knowing my social anxiety with the guest experience, surprised us with professional break dancers to bring even more hype to the reception and dance floor. Guests and ourselves loved this fun surprise, which is just one example of many personalized details Mac & B will pay attention to and bring to the table!

On a more sentimental note - during one of our first meetings, Christine was aware of our affinity for travelling and shared about her world travels (making Mac & B ideal for any destination wedding). She gifted us a golden oyster shell jewellery dish - symbolic that the world is our oyster. This was deeply meaningful to us, an item that showed us her genuine self and that our relationship would be more than just planner and a bride/groom. She showed me time and time again that she believed in me that I started to believe in myself. I never imagined our wedding planner to have such a profound impact on my life. Christine and Carri were so thoughtful throughout the entire process and genuinely cared about us as a couple and individually.

To conclude, right before I walked down the aisle, I shared a beautiful moment with Christine that I will always cherish. It was the culmination of all her hard work, our friendship formed and the masterpiece of a wedding she created. She will always hold a special place in my heart. We are forever indebted and love love love that we were able to befriend and partner with Mac & B. You will be making the best decision of your life by working with them!

There are almost no words to accurately describe how much of a blessing it was to be able to have had the opportunity to partner with Mac & B for our wedding. Christine was a maestro when it came to interlacing all of the vendors and logistics for a flawless and elegant wedding with no hiccups or miscues. A true master of her craft. She took an immense amount of stress off of us and our busy schedules during the planning process, and kept such positivity and kindness throughout each step. She kept our spirits high during stressful times in the process and made us feel comfortable knowing we could fully rely on her. She knew how and when to best communicate with vendors, always putting our interests first while ensuring we did not miss a beat. She also kept finances in mind and put us first in every decision she made or option she presented.

Perhaps what is most impressive is that in less than a year, Christine was able to take three Pinterest pins provided to her, and a very generic description of how we envisioned our perfect wedding, and construct a masterpiece beyond our wildest dreams. Our number one request was that we have a wonderful guest experience and people enjoy themselves, and Mac & B delivered well beyond what we had expected. I can confidently say that we would not of had the wedding we did without Amy’s help. Our day was magical, romantic and everything we asked for. And we asked for a vision that was, “if Anthropologie and Restoration Hardware had a baby in a secret garden”. So no easy task.

From the start Amy had it all laid out for us; when to start looking for something, and when to make a decisions by. We were not from the area, which made this a destination wedding for us. What we loved is that she didn’t take over the process, but more so helped us bring our vision to life. We’re the type of couple that enjoys researching an area, and finding the best deals. Amy helped us by guiding us to the right vendors in our budget, and to who she knew would do the best job executing our design requests (aka florals, rentals, photography etc).

The day of Amy was a godsend/boss lady fairy-godmother. She handled all the little, and big things the day of that would of completely taken us away from the moment. I can not stress this enough, that we did not have one thing to do the day of other than show up for our first look. Which we did at precisely 2:15pm thanks to our detailed timeline created by Amy. We were able to be completely in the moment, and that’s priceless.

More than once I was asked why I was such a chill bride, and why wasn’t I freaking out more. It was because we had so much trust in Amy. And here’s a true example as to why. The week of the wedding, we arrived to Charleston and that’s when the Corona Virus news started to escalate. 48 hours prior to the wedding around 30 people canceled. We called Amy and she told us to not worry about a thing, so we didn’t. Alone, we would of spiraled and lost sight of the day. With Amy, she told us not to worry, so we didn’t. That’s how much we trusted her.

Amy at Mac & B is the best thing to happen to our wedding! Now that it is over I miss her and her great spirit, organizational skills, and just overall kindness and coolness. We did not worry about ONE thing during our wedding. I'm not even sure what happened behind the scenes, but I finished getting ready and walked into a fairy tale. She guides you through the whole process seamlessly, keeps you on track, and responds IMMEDIATELY to any questions you have. Having Mac and B. Events and Amy DeVito as our wedding planner was an absolute blessing! From our first meeting to the wedding day, Amy was super organized and helped make every step along the way stress free and a lot of fun. Her passion for weddings and spectacular events combined with her organization and attention to detail gave us confidence throughout the process that we weren’t missing anything or second guessing decisions. She has an amazing vision for how things will come together and does a fantastic job of knowing when to provide input based on her many experiences. On the day of our wedding, Amy floated between setting up the venue and the groups of girls and guys getting ready to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Working with Mac and B was easily the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process. We were planning our wedding from out-of-state and were only able to make it down to Charleston once before our wedding. We spoke to many event planning companies to select our own wedding planner and Amy immediately stood out as the absolute best option.

Amy is super creative, optimistic, kind, and truly hears her clients. From start to finish she was clear in communicating what we could expect throughout the process. She was realistic in giving us options that would fit in our budget and went above and beyond to make sure our vision for our wedding was realized. Amy was also incredibly responsive throughout the year leading up to the wedding. I don't think she ever took longer than an hour to respond to an email or a question. Truly incredible. We felt so at peace going into the wedding weekend because we knew she had everything covered.

As far as décor goes, Amy took every vague idea we had and brought it to life, only ten times better than what we could have imagined. When we walked in the room on our wedding day, before the ceremony, our jaws literally dropped. We knew it would be amazing because Amy had created renderings, but we didn't know just how stunning it was all going to look. Every last detail was perfect. She truly transformed the space into something from a magazine! I can't tell you how incredible it looked!

Beyond just the décor, Amy made sure that everything ran smoothly throughout the day. In fact, a few of our guests even pointed out how "on it" she was and how impressed they were with the team. At one point, we went to the rooftop to take some photos and one clasp on my dress snapped! Someone texted Amy and she was waiting for us at the elevator when we got downstairs with several pin options to fix the clasp before I went back out. I mean COME ON!!!!!!

We could not recommend the Mac and B team and Amy more. She made everything so easy and beautiful but also made the year of planning leading up to the wedding so enjoyable, which is so so so important. We are SO grateful!!!!!!!

Amy and Carrie are extremely responsive as well as creative! They have great experience and exposure with the top venues and vendors in CHS.

Easiest and Best decision I made by hiring them. Amy is so creative and listens/understands your vision-by doing so she creates your ultimate dream day.

I would HIGHLY recommended anyone who wants to have a gorgeous and fun wedding to work with Christine from Mac & B. There are so many reasons why it’s a great decision, but here are just a few reasons why I had such an amazing experience working with her:
1) She is organized! I’m a consultant in Finance in NYC so I feel really strongly about people who are efficient and have a great process (ahem, Christine!). For example, she clearly lays out all of the to-do’s (over a full year) in a list and provides you with tons of extra helpful tips and guides for everything from putting together guest lists to getting a marriage license in Charleston all in one place for you to reference. She’s really on top of her stuff!
2) She has a great eye, is creative and knows how to make things beautiful. Christine offered us great suggestions on things to incorporate into our wedding to make it more personal. For example, my husband requested an area to smoke cigars and Christine suggests we create an adorable outdoor cigar bar / seating area which ALL of my guests absolutely loved. Handing out confetti poppers at the reception was also her idea - so much fun!
3) She is a genuinely nice person and works hard! Christine really cares about her clients and is dedicated to making sure that your day is special. She works amazingly well with vendors and does a phenomenal job managing all the logistics leading up to the wedding (so you don’t have to) and she is the ultimate “quarterback” on the day-of ensuring that plans are being followed, and that everyone is where they need to be and everything is in its place. I did a first look, had my ceremony at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist downtown, transported all of my guests to Middleton Place for an outdoor cocktail hour, inside for the reception, did a sparkler send-off, and more! I’m still so thankful that she was on my team to help us coordinate everything.

To sum it up - the best wedding decision I made was working with Mac & B! Planning and executing a beautiful wedding is involved and will inevitably become stressful even for the most “chill” bride, but Christine is an absolute pro who makes it as easy as possible for a bride to have the best day!
