I think in this process we learned that the most important requirements for choosing a planner are someone you’d genuinely want to spend time with, someone who takes your vision and treats it like her own, someone who has a mastery of design, coordination, planning, and pacing, and someone who has an excellent network of trusted professionals. Simply put, we learned all that because Mandalynn delivered at such a high level in all of those areas that we had the day of our dreams, our marriage started exactly how we wanted it to, and our guests felt loved and had a truly special night.

I’ll start with probably the most important thing: Mandalynn is very fun to spend these important moments with. She is a sweet, friendly person that you will enjoy chatting with on the phone, in person, at your tours, tastings, and most importantly, on your wedding day. In the end, we consider her a friend.

Mandalynn is an expert in her field. She really took every element of what we wanted, treated it like her own, and made it happen. We got married just shy of a year from our engagement, and Mandalynn paced the planning so there was never a point where things felt rushed or overwhelming. Of course, there is a lot to do at times, but in the end, we had a nice grace period before the wedding where everything was set and handled down to the smallest details. All of that paid off on the wedding day, because we got to live our moment instead of manage it, and every detail was perfect.

Finally, she has a wonderful network of professionals to draw on for all your vendors. She has worked with many, many people, knows the ones who do an amazing job, and unsurprisingly, they enjoy working with her. I underrated this going in, but it made our entire planning experience and the execution on the day absolutely amazing. We had amazing food, amazing dancing, insanely good photography, a stunning venue and rentals, and fantastic florals. It’s also helpful to know that she likely knows someone or some way to fix any unexpected issues.

Beyond that, I’ll say that she did all this while handing over the day-of coordination to her extremely capable colleague, Haley, because she was due with her baby on the day of our wedding. Mandalynn took care to make sure everything was handled ahead of time, brought in an amazing person to fill her role, and still popped in on the day to wish us well. I think the fact that she had the skill and network to literally replace herself on wedding weekend speaks volumes, not to mention that she did all of that while pregnant with the sweetest new baby.

Our wedding day was quite literally the best day of our lives, and we owe that entirely to her.

Through hundreds of questions, texts, and emails, she always made me feel valued and supported—never once like an afterthought. Her warmth, her patience, her kindness, and her genuine care for her couples is something rare and incredibly special.
