I got the Carina gown, which arrived within ten weeks. The dress was made to my measurements, and around week nine I was struck with the worry that it wouldn’t fit. Lyra Vega was very responsive to my concerns, confident that the dress was going to be beautiful, and reassuring that we could work through any issues. In the end the dress fit me perfectly. I feel like royalty in it!

One fun detail is this: I have a cup size of AA, and often feel like this severely limits what kinds of dresses I can wear confidently. I’m no seamstress, but I’d describe how they solved the problem as building a bust facade. The gown supports its own figure, so I can look as intended without having to worry that I won’t be able to support the expected shape. It even still manages to be comfortable!

This was a 2nd marriage and the thought of gown shopping at 50 years old in a bridal shop made me sick and uninterested. Truthfully, my seamstress worked more so with the company. But everything she said about Lyra Vega is true. They are professional and detailed. I tried on like.. 10 dresses at DB and none of them just clicked. I was scrolling on Instagram at bridal hashtags for ideas and saw the company and the dress i went with- Juliet.
