Originally built for Senator John Brown in early 1796, this venue is nearly as old as the United States of America. In addition to the main structure, there is also the Orlando Brown house which is a Georgian-style mansion that was built in the early 1800s for John Brown’s second son. Several presidents have even walked the halls of this marvelous building, including President James Monroe, General Andrew Jackson, and Major Zachary Taylor. If you and your future spouse love haunted buildings, then this is the place for you. There is rumoured to be a ghost named the Gray Lady whose spirit still lingers.
