April was absolutely amazing! I cannot believe how awesome my day was thanks to her. She was so helpful throughout the entire process. The day of I hardly saw her (but that's because she was busy making sure my day was perfect!). The part that makes her the best, by far, is the fact that she was so wonderful when dealing with my (extremely) crazy/rude mother and grandmother. I felt really bad for her because of that, but she handled it so well. The gazebo was such a beautiful place to get married, and April was accommodating for all of the quirky things we wanted to do during our ceremony. The reception could not have been more beautiful - everything was set up perfectly and the food was absolutely delicious. We chose a buffet for $$ purposes (GET THE STUFFED CHICKEN!), but it went so quickly and smoothly. I totally recommend them!

In my career in advertising and at the PA House of Representatives, I've been responsibe for plannnig countless client events, receptions, hearings, dinners and the like. April Russell is, without a doubt, the most professional caterer/planner I have ever worked with. My daughter-in-law and I scouted just about every venue in the area and within minutes of meeting April and viewing Letort, she was handed a deposit check.
April met with Kim and family members a number of times, conducted a food tasting session and fielded innumerable phone calls with patience, good advice, suggestions and above all...diplomacy. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the facility and could not have been more pleased with the service, food and accommodations that were made for us. I've already referred April and her team at Letort to others and would be glad to make myself available as a reference. There really aren't enough words (or stars) to describe how pleased we all were with the wedding of my son and his lovely bride.

We were so happy with how our wedding reception turned out. April did an amazing job with everything. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. We were a little concerned when we first booked with them because the person that was in charge before April seemed clueless about our event. A few months before we found out that April would be taking over our reception, we were so relieved because right away we knew she would do a great job. She took care of pretty much everything for us and made it stress free so we could enjoy our reception. We even had people at our wedding compliment how great letort was especially all the friendly servers, bartenders and of course April. We couldnt have been any happier with our reception!

I couldn't have found a better place to have my wedding ceremony/reception. April and her team do fantastic work. I could always get a hold of April if I had a question or needed to speak with her. She was very timely at getting back to me. The food was absolutely amazing!! All of our guests had nothing but great compliments on everything, especially the food! You truly get more for your money at Letort View! It is very beautiful place to have your wedding :o) I'd recommend it to anyone!!

My daughter's wedding was this past weekend and it was wonderful ... even though it rained. April was our LeTort wedding coordinator and she was fantastic. This was one of her first weddings to coordinate at LeTort and she went way above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It rained and there was an accident at the gate so the wedding guests were held up but the wedding still went off without a hitch. I would recommend LeTort to anyone planning a wedding and reception.

I can't believe that the LVCC has gotten any bad reviews! I had my reception at the LVCC last Saturday, and had a WONDERFUL experience with them! I stopped by on a whim one day without an appointment, and I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and given a tour. I was encouraged to take pictures, and was even shown the HUGE selection of centerpieces and table skirting...all before I booked a thing! I was even given a little book that had budgeting help, a timeline of when things needed to be done, planning sheets, etc......again, all before booking a thing! Needless to say, when I walked in I loved everything about the venue and I called later that day to book it for my wedding. One major thing that I knew I wanted was a big dance floor, and they have an awesome one! Katie Stewart was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. She and I emailed back and forth several times during the planning process, and she responded promptly each and every time. Honestly when I talked to her, I felt like I was the only bride she was helping. She even remembered details about my wedding (how I wanted centerpieces, what food we were thinking about, the fact that I had one person at my reception that was allergic to strawberries, etc.) from one appointment to the next! Since my fiance lived out of town, she met with my mom and me and answered all of my questions. We received a huge packet of the tons of choices for food and drinks (oh yeah, did I mention there's no sales tax since it's an army base!? GREAT for brides on a budget!!), and my fiance and I came in on a Saturday for a tasting. The food is absolutely delicious, and we received TONS of good reviews about it all night long! As far as decorating, Katie and the staff at LVCC make everything so easy for the bride, which is definitely appreciated! All you have to do is tell them or show them how you want things to look on one table, and they take a picture and write things down so that everything looks perfect for your day! My mom and I made a long tulle decoration for the banister in the lobby, and they were more than happy to attach it to the banister the day of the wedding. We even reused the pew bows as decorations at the reception! The wedding party had appetizers and drinks brought to us before we entered the reception, and once we were in there, we were served our salads, main courses, and desserts! Katie and the LVCC staff literally took care of EVERYTHING that a bride could possibly worry about! I cannot say enough good things about the staff, the service, or the venue. The main room has beautiful chandeliers, and the bar and adjoining rooms are decorated with tasteful and gorgeous pictures and furniture. We had a lot of out of town guests, and all of them came up to us and complimented the service, the food, how clean everything was, and even how pretty the rest of the base was! We had pictures taken at the darling gazebo that's across from the LVCC, and they were absolutely stunning! If you are getting married anywhere near Carlisle, check this place out.....you won't be disappointed!!!

Letort View was a wonderful venue for my daughter's wedding. It is elegant and has classic charm and the value can't be beat anywhere. The entire wedding party and guests were all from out of town. This was a central location for everyone to meet. This was such a gem of a find too. I booked it in January for a June wedding (I wouldn't recommend this), but for us it all came together wonderfully, thanks to April, the wedding coordinator at Letort View. We had planned on a lovely outside service in the gazebo, but it poured. April and her staff set-up the inside for the ceremony and it was lovely. The food was very good and plenty available on the buffet.
