Living in the DFW area and having a wedding in Port Aransas presented me with locating vendors via internet and phone while scheduling to meet/taste while in town for a short period of time. I looked at several bakeries online, calling a few, before I stumbled upon Let Them Eat Cake. I called and spoke with Michelle who was very friendly and took the time to discuss what I was looking for, while preparing for Valentines Day! It was poor planning on my part to call bakeries during a busy week. I was impressed that Michelle uses only natural ingredients, all made from scratch. I scheduled a tasting and what a treat! My husband and I walked in and there were 5 large cupcakes for us each to try. They were delicious. I couldn't stop eating them! They were all so great we ended up ordering all 5 flavors. We joked up until the wedding, 8 months later, how we couldn't wait to eat some cake. That's what we were looking forward to, the cake! Literally the BEST cake I have ever had. The wedding cake and grooms cupcakes turned out better than expected. We discussed a few ideas, Michelle offering some, some I declined some I loved. She was very open to the feedback and I felt she truly wanted to make the cake for me. I had a vision of what the cake would look like and Let Them Eat Cake exceeded my vision. The cake is so good I left our one year anniversary cupcakes with my in-laws 450 miles away because I know I would eat it. I wouldn't be able to wait a whole year, knowing how delicious the cake is. I highly recommend this vendor. If I lived in the area this would be the only bakery I would purchase cakes from.
