Our cozy retreat offers premium amenities and quarters for everyone staying with us at the wedding reception to enjoy. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement in the Adirondacks or a large wedding celebration with your loved ones, the Lake Placid Lodge is an idyllic setting to say "I do."

Facilities and Capacity

Lake Placid Lodge is nestled along the beautiful shores of Lake Placid, with the North Woods and Whiteface Mountain as its background. There are five indoor and outdoor venue spaces to host your wedding ceremony and reception in all seasons. The Adirondack Terrace offers picturesque views of the lake and mountains, with one rustic stone fireplace to keep guests warm.

The Adirondack Room with the Adirondack Terrace can accommodate up to 40 or a tent on the terrace for up to 75 seated guests for an elegant reception from mid-May to mid-October. The Lodge Lawn or Artisan's Runway can accommodate up to 75 seated guests for a beautiful ceremony. It features a stone fireplace, canvas-framed windows, and several heaters. Artisan's Runway is on the second floor of the lodge and offers panoramic views of the mountains and lake shores.

For spring and summer weddings, you can exchange vows right on the lakeside at the Lodge Dock if you buy out the resort for your event for a 2 or 3-night minimum stay of 30 guest rooms per night and an exclusivity fee. Any event over 40 guests requires a resort buyout. For intimate lakeside ceremonies of 2 to 6, you can privately host your celebration at the water's edge of a two-bedroom cabin or on your patio or balcony in a Lakeside Suite. Following your ceremony, you can ride in the Hacker-Craft boat for a nominal fee, enjoy a cocktail hour with up to 75 guests, or a 5-hour cocktail reception with a dinner/dance of 75 guests. The Moose Room is ideal for indoor ceremonies, perfect for an intimate Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner Wedding Reception. It features a wood-burning fireplace and intimate decors, with seating for up to 24 guests. The Map Room, Mossy Cove, or Adirondack Fire Cove are perfect for elopements. They all feature views of the lake and mountains.

Services Offered

Lake Placid Lodge offers wedding packages, and we will coordinate with you to prepare the space for your big day. We will be happy to provide you with a list of preferred vendors who may assist you with all your additional enhancements not included in our packages upon your request. Best Hotel Ever

We had our wedding at Lake Placid Lodge in September 2023 and it was the most amazing weekend, truly magical. The hotel, cabins, and property are stunningly designed and maintained. Everyone on the staff is kind and accommodating, and went out of their way to make us and our guests feel taken care of. Cory, Ashlyn, and Zach especially took care of us and were always checking in to make sure we were happy or seeing if we needed anything. Our guests were totally blown away and all talk about how much they miss it and planning on coming back to the Lodge in the future. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, it’s such a special place, especially for a small wedding.

My only critique is with their security/privacy. When paying for a top of the line full property buyout of such a small hotel, we expected to be totally alone with our family and friends, but we ended up spending a lot of time all weekend asking non-guests to leave the property. We found them in the restaurants/bars/lobby/fire pits, wandering near rooms, pulling up to the dock, even eating from our brunch buffet and lying (to my face) about being wedding guests! This did add some unnecessary stress to the weekend as some of these crashers were very aggressive when we told them the Lodge was closed for a private event.

It seems people from the nearby whiteface club and other airbnbs think the Lodge is open to the public, even though there are signs everywhere that say “Registered Lodge guests only”! (And the registered guests rule is always, not just during private events). This is definitely not the Lodge’s fault, they can't control the public, but just be aware and maybe ask the Lodge to hire extra staff to handle security, because they know of the issue. We had to do the bouncing ourselves or make calls to the front desk to ask them to send a staff member. Normally I wouldn't be such a stickler, but like I said we paid for a full buyout, and had lots of open bars/buffets that were meant for our guests only, plus guests had their own room charge tabs open, had doors open, presents sitting out, etc.

Other than this one issue though, over the 5 days our guests stayed, everything was top notch and I would not have changed a thing. I can't wait to go back!

Fairy Tale Wedding

My daughter got married in July,2019 at Lake Placid Lodge. We all fell in love with the venue the day we saw it. Eden showed us around the property and it was magical. The wedding weekend was a beautiful weekend of love starting with the rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar, a bbq on Friday night and the wedding on the lawn on Saturday. Sunday we all had a delicious brunch. Everyone at the lodge went out of their way and over the top to make to make everything perfect. Thank you Eden and all the staff for a memorable event.

Dream wedding venue!!

LPL (especially Eden!!) creates a dream for our wedding. We coordinated almost everything from a distance, and she made sure everything was beyond perfect. We stayed at the lodge, had our ceremony and reception there, and had Chef do our food and cake. The process was easy, communication was spectacular. Eden made me feel like a queen and made everything go so smoothly, even when the button on my dress broke 5 minutes before the ceremony (of course someone was there from LPL so repair it in time!) When we realized the night before we didn’t have table cards or menus, Eden made them and had them ready! There were more special touches than I can possibly list, and we can’t wait to return to the Lodge for many years to come.

Our recent winter wedding at LPL was like a dream come true. Chris Bradway is a true professional and a valuable part of the Lodge. He was attentive, prompt, honest with his opinions, and a pleasure to work with. We are so glad he was there the day of to be a part of such a memorable occasion in our lives. The food was outstanding and we received many compliments from our guests. The servers were great...always available for a question and very friendly. In addition to our wedding being unforgettable, our stay at the Owls Head cabin is something we will remember for the rest of our lives. The cabin and views were breathtaking. We absolutely recommend the LPL for a wedding or special occasion and cannot wait to return for our anniversary.

If you are looking for a rustic, intimate, luxurious, cabin in the woods feel for your special day, look no further. My newly appointed wife and I are sitting outside on the lodge porch with our two dogs on lake placid lodge dog beds next to a fire and heater torches... it's 18° outside and we've taken off out coats! Our petite wedding was New Years Day and the ceremony took place right here on the porch overlooking the lake, next to a fire with our closest family here with us. We emailed back and forth with Chris Bradway, and met with him in person only once a few months prior to our wedding. We showed up the day before and from the moment we stepped on the property we were blown away. Chris was waiting for us to arrive on New Years Eve to help bring in the few decorations and favors we had with us... what he did with them in preparing the Baby Bootlegger room with their candles and all was breathtaking. Our ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch with Victoria Milne as our officiant (from the Lodge's list of vendors). We've been treated like royalty / and as Lodge family the whole week succeeding our wedding as we stayed with our pups in McKenzie Cabin for our honeymoon.

We are not wintery outdoorsy people in general and were even a bit reluctant to come upstate in the dead of winter... we were looking for something different, luxurious and intimate with our family and within driving distance for future visits and so we could enjoy the time with our dogs as well.

Chris and the entire staff here at the Lodge aside from the gorgeous facility and cabins are what make this place every bit of the 5 star facility it is. Truly outstanding and helped us make some wonderful memories (and pictures!).

Having a petite wedding at the Lake Placid Lodge was our Adirondack dream! My husband and I had 14 family members present plus us. The artisan cove where we exchanged vows was absolutely perfect - even in late December! The Bootlegger Room fit us perfectly for an amazing 5 course meal plus cake. Leading up to the wedding we were unsure about how it would turn out but left many of the specifics up to Chris and his masterful team. I can 100% recommend the Lake Placid Lodge for anyone interested in a small, intimate, Adirondack wedding. While we would have loved to have more communication prior to the event, it all came out splendidly. The staff was very receptive and quick to our needs. They accommodated the menu for my grandfather who prefers crabcakes, made a naked spice cake look like gorgeous birch and made a fabulous 4 hour dinner with paired wines. One of the best parts was the gorgeous lakeside cottage that we stayed in for two nights. The service and amenities were beyond what I could have imagined. We want to relive the day/weekend over-and-over again!

When we walked into Lake Placid Lodge we knew instantly that this is where we wanted to get married. The lodge is so beautiful, and rustic, and cozy. Each room is prettier than the next - from the fireplaces, to the antique rugs, to the rustic furniture .. you will feel like you are secluded in your own cozy winter wonderland. For our small, intimate wedding we knew we wanted something special - and Lake Placid Lodge was just that.

The planning process was a bit complicated. Perhaps I'm just an over organized person, but I often felt like I had to follow up with multiple emails and reminders in order to get answers. The lack of communication meant most of our planning was unfortunately left for the last two weeks - which caused a bit of chaos. There were billing errors (we were charged too much - twice), and food errors (a course was left out), and other timing errors - BUT nothing significant enough to damper the big day. Ashley (who took over for Chris as the coordinator) and CJ (the general manager) were WONDERFULLY accommodating. Their hospitality more than made up for any of our planning frustrations.

The food was wonderful, our guests raved about the venue, and the atmosphere was PERFECT for our simple rustic winter wedding. Lake Placid Lodge is VERY expensive compared to other venues in the location, but if we had to do it all over again we would 100% do it exactly the same. Sometimes location and venue are worth the price, hiccups and all. My advice: don't be afraid to follow up again and again, double check your receipts, make lists of everything you brought and want to take home. If you are lucky enough to have your wedding at Lake Placid Lodge, your day will be absolutely breathtaking.
