Kim and her team shot our wedding at Saltwater Farm in Friday Harbor this September and we couldn't be happier with our choice to hire them. Kim is absolutely AMAZING -- her energy is warm and she helped us feel so natural in front of the camera. We just received our sneak peek and WOW. Her (+ her team's) photos and editing truly capture the vibrancy of our entire wedding day. All of our guests were raving at how wonderful our photography team was and asking, "where did you find these amazing humans?!?" One of our biggest requests was that we wanted to feel PRESENT during our wedding day and not feel tied down by photos (even though we wanted all the photos) -- Kim and her team perfectly allowed us to do just that. We did ~2.5 hours of coordinated photos prior to the ceremony and got basically all our photos done during that time. And then during the party, we were AT the party. We felt like the entire team so beautifully captured the day while also giving us the space to be present and enjoy every moment. Looking through the photos, Kim and her team so elegantly captured the feelings, the hugs, the smiles, and the laughter. On top of that, they took gorgeous photos of all our details, food, cocktails, rings, and signage. Not one things missed. Kim of La Vie Photography was amazing. From start to finish, she made our engagement session and wedding photos a breeze. Kim of LaVie Photography is a wonderful person and professional! She photographed both our engagement and our wedding. We loved her energy so much during our engagement shoot, we knew we had to have her at our wedding. We could tell through working with her that she genuinely loves what she does. Her photography is incredible and while we are still waiting on our wedding photos (our wedding was less than a month ago) we had so a overwhelmingly positive response to our engagement pictures from our family, friends and on social media. Kim and Adam are simply the best! They were a hit at our wedding, our family loved them because they are so loving and friendly themselves. I enjoy their true to color style, especially in a time when rustic and washed out photos are the trend. We hired them as part of our two day Indian/Jewish ceremony. They captured the multiple cultural elements and colors with such beauty. They also were open to doing creative shots we really wanted to capture, something we discussed in our pre-meeting. I can not stress enough how amazing Kim and Adam were. The showed up earlier than I had hoped for and caught every detail of the day, from little moments with our friends and family to beautiful shots of the wedding itself. It was fantastic to have two people since it allowed Kim to be with the bridesmaids and I when we were getting ready and Adam could be with the groom and his groomsmen while they were getting ready!

When my wife and I were planning our wedding we had a variety of local choices in Southern California and Orange County to chose from and spent an enormous amount of time interviewing a variety of photography companies. When we approached LaVie on line to discuss using their services they encouraged us to get together to talk further...sure enough 1 week later they made a personal visit from Seattle to Orange County CA to sit down with us and discuss our plans. After 2.5 hours of going through talking, going through some amazing ideas and reviewing past work of theirs we felt like we found two new friends who happened to be photographers. This is RARE in business...especially in the business of weddings...to feel a connection that you know can only translate in a positive way to the pictures they are going to take on your most important day. We were beyond happy with our decision!!!!
