The variety of gorgeous gowns to choose from is plentiful, the service is top notch, but what sold me was the unbelievable alterations done by Maria! I am 4’6” and Maria worked with me to make my wedding dress dreams come true! Maria provided her honest opinion, offered unbelievable customized options and was willing to do whatever it took to make me feel like a beautiful bride on my wedding day. I went to La Scala first with my mom and sister to look for a wedding dress as it was close by to our house. It was the first store I went to so I didn't really know what to expect but from the moment we walked in, the service was amazing!! Maria and her staff really make you feel so comfortable. And there was so many beautiful wedding dresses to choose from!!! While I was trying on dresses, Maria was incredibly helpful in giving me advice as to what style looked best! Once I put on a dress in a style she recommended, I knew it was the one. It was so beautiful and comfortable.

Because of this great experience, we ended up getting most of our wedding day outfits here. We got bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dress, and the groom and groomsmen rented their suits here! I cannot say enough about the quality of all of the dresses and suits. Everything was so beautiful; my husband has been in a few weddings as have some of his groomsmen and they all couldn't stop talking about how much they loved these suits compared to others!! They were really nice looking. All of my bridesmaids loved their dresses and they were all so beautiful. My mom's dress was stunning as well.

I had my alterations done at La Scala as well and Maria was amazing. The dress fit perfectly and the bustle looked perfect. However, on my final fitting, the sleeves of the dress had irritated my shoulders so I let Maria know just to see if maybe she could do anything. I'm not sure exactly what she did but she really worked some magic and when I put the dress on for the wedding, it was SO comfortable including the sleeves! My dress was very heavy and I don't often dress up but I had no problems wearing it all day and was comfortable sitting, standing and walking!! The dress itself was BEAUTIFUL. It had a long train which was breathtaking and the back of the dress was stunning. I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding dress. I also felt like the pricing of everything we had purchased was extremely fair. Thank you so much to Maria and your staff at La Scala for making our wedding day perfect!! Maria really knew her stuff and when trying on dresses, she was really honest in her opinions. She was very welcoming from the start and she altered not only my wedding dress, but also my bridesmaids’ dresses. She has beautiful dresses and at great prices. Her alterations are really affordable as well. Aside from getting my wedding dress there, I had a few dresses of my own altered there.

One of my bridesmaid found LaScala for me. I found my dress in the first shop! I didn’t know it was it until I tried on numerous dresses at lots of shops. I called the first shop and made an appt to go and try on the dress again, when we all got there they had SOLD the dress and didn’t tell me. They tried to have me try on a different dress. I had my bridesmaids in from CT and NY with me to watch me say yes to the dress. I was so disappointed. So one my bridesmaid called around and Maria had one at LaScala, So we all went to her shop and fell in love with her! She was so helpful and easy to work with. We bought my wedding dress, my bridesmaid dresses, Jr bridesmaid dress, flower girls dresses and all of tuxedos from her shop. Every time I went to the store she and her staff always go out of their way to ensure we are getting what we want. She gives you honest opinions and tricks to loom your best in your dress. She has lots of dresses to choice from in numerous sizes. Maria and her staff love what they do and it shows. She is making some changes and additions to my dress. I am just so excited. Maria is AMAZING! I went all over to look for my wedding gown - in fact, I actually got pressured into buying a gown at another salon. When I realized this wasn't the right choice to me, I was so upset - I didn't want to be THAT bride who got another gown.

So upset and frustrated, I showed up at La Scala and met Maria. This place is unlike any other bridal salon.. I was never pressured by Maria... she took her time with me and she even made a few suggestions of gowns that would work for my body type. Maria ended up picking the gown that I wore on my wedding. She did the alterations and they were top notch - she is truly the best!

La Scala is the best dress shop! Shortly after purchasing my dress from Alfred Angelo, I received a phone call that my dress came in but they would be closing that night for good. I got my dress, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting, and now I didn't have a seamstress. I called Maria at La Scala and she was fantastic! She completely re-did the sleeves on my dress and made it exactly what I wanted. I didn't even know that you could take lace apart and rebuild it, but my dress looks fantastic and it is now exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend going to La Scala! They have beautiful dresses and if I hadn't already purchased mine, there were plenty there that I would have liked to try. Maria provided fantastic alterations at a great price, and she truly has a talent. She provided her opinion and advice about the dress and it was spot on. She also altered my bridesmaid's dresses and the flower girls too. She created sashes exactly the way I wanted them too! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I recently went to La Scala to look for bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. Maria and Rainy were amazing! The shop had a really large selection of bridesmaids dresses and Maria and Rainy were so helpful in helping us find some options in the look we wanted. My mom tried on a couple dresses as well and Maria was so great helping my mom figure out what dress/style she wanted to go with. As soon as Maria started talking I knew she knew exactly what she was talking about and had been in the business for a very long time. It was nice to be able to see someone in this crazy wedding business truly enjoying doing what they do. There was a bride there trying on dresses at the same time and she would just add the simplest touch to the dress making the look completely different to help the bride find what exactly she wanted. If I hadn't already gotten my dress, I would definitely go there. I highly recommend La Scala!

Maria is extremely talented! She had taken in my sister-in-laws dress 5 sizes and it was gorgeous so I knew I would be in good hands. We asked her to cut the entire train off an Oleg Cassini dress and shorten it about a foot because I am only 5 feet tall. She even shortened the petticoat and showed me and my Mom how to "tuck in the extra skin" so that I didn't have muffin top under my arms and back! She also did an amazing job with my mother's dress and even did the alterations while we were there so my Mom didn't have to come back. I had lost a total of 15 lbs since the first fitting. On my last fitting, it was a little loose so she suggested that I wear an undergarment to fill it back out a little. When I came in to pick up the dress the day before the wedding, I tried it on one last time with the undergarment. I had lost another pound or two in the last week and it was too late to take the dress in so she sewed on an additional hook right there to cinch the top of the dress a little tighter and it fit perfectly. The price she charged for the amount of work she put into the dress was unreal. I thought I would have paid more for the alterations than we did for the actual dress. I highly recommend La Scala Bridal Shoppe for any alterations, big or small!
